  1. I don't know but I don't believe in coincidence. Could the ecu detect the power steering loss and go into a limp home mode?
  2. Can you give us a bit more info on the rb25 turbo inc. a price please?
  3. No tricks, just get your fingertips under the seat on one side and yank it up hard then do the other side and it will lift out. Remove the bolt on each side that holds the back rest then lift it up and ease it out past the seatbelts.
  4. Surely someone has these bits lying around.
  5. Series 1 or 2? What numbers on comp. housing? How many k's, what boost you been running? What else comes with it, dump, elbow, water and oil lines? Any chance of pics?
  6. Is it the factory turbo? What bits and pieces come with it? actuator, dump, elbow, water and oil lines?
  7. I'm looking into the same issues on my '89. Got defected for k&n pod. I don't see anything wrong with the factory abox that a decent panelfilter wouldn't fix but the inlet pipes to the stock airbox look fairly restrictive so I'm trying to find out if the similar but larger gtr ones will fit up to the stock gtst airbox. The gtr inlet ducts get air from a resonator box that sits inside the left guard where the stock gtst intercooler is. I don't think I would use the resonator box but the pipe from the air box to under the headlight looks like it would work well on the gtst. I might face my inlet down behind the frontbar because if the opening is facing forwards the airbox will quickly fill with bugs, dirt and maybe water too. I'm still trying to find some gtr ducts that I can try them out.
  8. I want the ducting that feeds air to the stock airbox in an R32 GTR. I might also able to use the intake resonator box from inside the LHS guard. As per the picture in post #5
  9. I rang ABS from Taree and ordered the Protex 210E001 kit and only received a kit for one caliper. A phone call fixed it up but there seems to be some confusion with their supplier as to whether the kit was for one or both calipers.
  10. Do you have the intake ducts etc, the parts before the airbox? Also a stock BOV?
  11. I've got a rough idea what they look like from the R32 manual I downloaded but it's hard to tell from line drawings if the will fit. Does anyone have these ducts lying around? I'll buy them if they fit.
  12. Can anyone post pics of the stock air ducts for the R32 GTR airbox please? I want to see if they would be a suitable upgrade to the restrictive GTSt ones. Thankyou.
  13. It's more than likely that your problems are not the result of a single fault. The fast idle could be caused by a faulty air regulator. The stalling sounds like a problem I had that turned out to be a dry connection inside the AFM but as you've tried a different one it maybe the AFM plug or wiring. The 2500 rpm limit sounds like it's going into limp mode so the ECU could be lacking input from a major sensor Have you done a diagnostic on the ECU to check for fault codes.
  14. They are the same except the diff and halfshafts are larger in the dr30. All else bolts up the same.
  15. Would Kings springs be ok? Pics to [email protected] please
  16. I bought the hybrid 600x300 ic because it was the cheapest I could find that was available at the time and also because it was a perfect fit. It almost mounted itself. I didn't need cut anything except the bar cover to fit it but I'll cut the bar support for more airflow to the topof the ic. I think it is better to make sure all the tubes get some air than it is to get maximum possible air to some tubes and none to others. I mean if your tubes run horizontal it would cool better if say you blocked off air to the right half of the ic rather than if you blocked off airflow to the top half because then only half your tubes would be able to cool the air passing through them. If your ic is larger than you need then only part of each tube might need airflow to do the job adequately. GTR90 Your old car looks good. That numberplate recess cutout was exactly what I had in mind but does say look at my fmic. Hey I suppose I could get it engineered but once the cops pull you over to check the papers they'll try to do you for something else.
  17. I got my n1 ducts and cut them in but I'm not sure whether to cut out the numberplate recess or just cut the section below the numberplate to allow air up to the top of the cooler. If I move plate to the side it might draw attention to the mods.
  18. I'd be very surprised if a coupe exhaust doesn't bolt straight on. The wheel base is the same length and in the accessories thread in the tutorial section there are some rear pods that are listed as suitable for both coupe and sedan so I don't think the sedan can be that much longer overall.
  19. Thanks geordie. The stock bar with mods will have to do for now. I saw that CAI thread but was wondering if there was something better to use than a couple of radiator hoses. Does anyone know if the GTR intake duct or airbox and duct would fit the GTSt? Maybe I could use the rear AFM position and block off the front one. Does anyone have pics of GTR airbox and duct on or off the car?
  20. Yeah, thanks pitchd, my bar is the same type as yours. I'm trying to avoid that cut up look as it gets too much of the wrong type of attention. I'm going to at least have to cut out the under side of the bar and reo as the hybrid cooler is hard up against it so almost no air can get to the top half of the cooler. I've got some N1 ducts coming and I thought I might also cut out the numberplate recess. While the bar is off I also want to do something to improve the intake to the stock airbox. K&N pod got defected on friday night. It has only been on the car for a couple of weeks. They tried to defect the type S BOV too. Coppa didn't believe it was plumb back. He said to rev the motor and back off to see if he could hear it. I think the stock airbox is not a bad thing but that asthmatic chamber under the headlight is a joke. What has been done to replace it? Anyone else got pics of their bar mods?
  21. What mods have people done to get more airflow through their FMIC behind the stock r32 GTST bar? Pics would be great. Thanks.
  22. Bump
