  1. Are rb20det and rb25det clutchplate splines the same?
  2. How is the pressure plate brass button? I thought brass button was a type of clutch plate. Quote C&B I blv it's 1200kg pressure Can you confirm it is 1200kg
  3. I think the losses run closer to 30% so 120-130 rwkw sounds about right.
  4. The non vvt head makes the conversion simpler but the det head can be modded to suit. Do a search.
  5. The rb20 head won't fit on an rb30 block. Search rb30det conversion.
  6. Prefer factory but consider fg copies of Vertex or similar
  7. I had a bit of a conversation with him and he knew his brakes. This method of bedding them in was for rb74s, not necessarily other pads. Also he told me this knowing I had freshly machined discs so I don't know if he would have suggested something different if the discs were grooved. My guess is he would have told me to get them machined.
  8. Is the stock r32 rb25de crank the same or as strong as the rb25det crank?
  9. What would be stopping me from using a GTR crank, rods and pistons in an R32 RB25de block with it's stock head? What other bits would I need to swap or modify for this to work and what compression ratio would it have?
  10. I just bought a pair of RB74 pads from the Racebrakes stand at the Mingara show and shine. The guy on the stand said that to bed them in do 8-10 100-30kph heavy applications or until the smoke pours off them then drive round using them normally till they cool down. He said this is to bring the resins in the pad to the surface so it can coat the disc.
  11. I received mine on friday. Thanks Paul.
  12. What turbo did it make 201rwkw with and does it come with the motor?
  13. Is your manual box from an r33 gts25t? There a few threads on this and a few solutions. Do a search.
  14. 100% the same afaik
  15. It would bolt on but it won't work because the rb25 bore is 86mm and the rb20 is 78mm and water jackets are diferent so the head gasket can't seal properly. Anything can be made to work if you throw enough money at it but it would be better and cheaper just to use the rb25 engine.
  16. Are the rb25det oil squirters block mounted or through the rods? How does the r32 rb25de plenum differ from the rb20det? Would an r33 plenum bolt to the r32 rb25 lower manifold?
  17. bump
  18. I'm looking for an upgrade for my r32gtst. ie. turbo an r32 rb25de and use gtr rods and rb25 aftermarket forged pistons. Is the r32 rb25 crank as strong as the r33 rb25det one? Also what manifolds bolt to the r32 rb25de head. In pics they look like an rb20.
  19. Are you sure it's not one of your intercooler hoses leaking?
  20. With my stock turbo boost starts to build at about 1800rpm and is nearly full boost 9psi by 2600rpm falling off a bit by 6000 rpm I'd like to move the build up about 400rpm ie 2200-3000rpm and hold 1bar to 7000. That should help keep it off boost in heavy traffic but still be responsive to bit of right foot. I'm still thinking my best bet would be the 2530 but I'm not sure if it will boost that early on an rb20. I've been told it should start boost about 2500rpm and be 1bar by 3500rpm which is still very responsive. Would that be near the money? What rpm would the 2510 run out of puff? 6500?
  21. I know most consider the 2510 a waste of time on the rb25 but I've been told it can safely make 190rwkw@16psi on an rb20. Does that sound about right?
  22. Yeah, done to death, I know. I think I've read all the threads but I'm still not sure enough to put my money down. I'd go for the 2530 for sure if one was available at the right price but I can buy a 2510 or 2535 now. What is the boost threshold like for each turbo? Will the 2510 hold boost to the redline? Would a 2510 be that much better than a stock RB25 turbo if I limit boost to 1bar? The car is pretty much just street driven so I want to keep it very driveable but I don't want to waste the mods I've already done. 3-3.5" exhaust 600x300x76 fmic PFC 040 f/p splitfire coils What do you reckon?
  23. What are the endorsements for? BTW 450 + 400 + 350 = 1200
  24. Whoo hoo! 5 have paid. Now they will be shipped, right?
