Yup, they did it in VIC at maccas a while back - started playing classical music and things over speakers. Not sure whether it worked, know it wouldn't really bother me.

They're pretty lax in responding to general enquiries, and often you won't get a reply. But I guess they must receive 100 or so a day, so I'd imagine if they replied to every "enquiry" and not genuine sales, they'd never sell anything.. which is fair enough.

It took me ages to discover what this is, but I think I have narrowed it down! (edit: no i haven't ) If you swear in your post, it blocks it out with the stars. If you go back into edit this post, the stars will be in there and if you post it will go to the "page not found". Therefore you can't edit a post with swears in it unless you cut off a couple of the asterisks. Actually no idea!! as its not doing it now, but it seems its something to do with special characters and editing of that post. I've had it happen many times. The only reliable way to post on this board is to copy to clipboard, in case you lose everything you were about to say, as its very common.

nope still can't find Prank. Its one of those fields in the database that is there from when it we could edit it, and since the board changed, we can't change it.. Same problem as with the avatars for ages.

It will need to be owned and registered by yourself in NZ, and evidence of you owning it for 12 months or more. By the sounds of things you have most of that covered and will be in luck. You shouldn't need it complied in Australia, however you may have to swap minor things like the seatbelts and things like that.

Are we allowed a wasteland in here? I know there used to be one.. but for some reasons unknown (before i got here.. hehe) it got deleted. All the other states have one. QLD shouldn't be the odd one out. The "whos who" thread is just degrading into general chatter anyhow. Maybe its a good idea. errr.. isn't the "whoooshing" sound just the sound u get from a pod. I doubt its the BOV leaking... although considering the age of the car it could be the stock bov spring has had its day which would cause it to leak.

errr... sounds like its detonating like a m/**er.. um, do you have any compression in cylinder #6 at all? you might want to check that little thing Cracked spark plug? thats not good at all! I wouldn't be driving it like that at all, sounds like serious problems with cylinder 6 cap'in. May already be too late...

mupkant: went out to check my SAFC(1).. sensor type should be definitely "hotwire" (referring to the AFM I think). Check your voltages in "sensor check" while the engine is off. Sensor1: should be reading a reasonable value (around 1v or something). Sensor2: should be reading around 0v (mine was fluctuating between 0 - 0.1v). Again, THR voltage should increase as you put foot to the floor. Definitely sounds like your problem is the lack of the THR line.. check the loom near your ECU to see whether its wired up. neil:se -> go into the "sensor check" mode off "etc" and check the voltages.. mine at 100% THR (foot about 90% to floor) is about 4.35v. I'd check you're connections, maybe its dropping a bit of voltage due to dodgy solder job, etc. It could make a difference to overall effectiveness if the THR is out a bit.

$3500 should get you something reasonable, say a GXE which has power steering, elec mirrors, nice seats, and around 118kw (stock). For that price you might get some nice rims and an exhaust as well as some of these have been added over the years. Modified, very clean and with a big stereo $5k max i guess these days. I used to have one, great cars.. the skyline "feel" is still there! Then once u go up to a 32 or 33 it's a nice progression. Everything good about the 31 except 10 years engineering ontop all good.

All i can say is stay clear totally of factory decks.. sell it to another commodoor owner, and $300 will get you quite a reasonable CD player/mp3 player these days. Any factory deck i've heard in a car sounds "flat" to me, even in cars such as expensive Range Rovers and things I've been in. Its just not worth the fitting effort.. But should fit, unless they use some weird factory size.

yatala has some back areas.. could just pick a factory or something cops shouldn't be a problem unless we're really causing problems. The spot last time was good as it wasn't too much in anyones (customers) way.

supercheap have bendix for 33.. i went.. saw they had nothing good (stupid me) and bought a $6 globe.. saved $1.20. I'm rich.. p.s. the doncaster Autobarn has the best selection of stuff of most of the stores i went to in melb
