  1. 17x9.5' A-Tech rims with 245/45 rubber. Would look better with some cross drilled brakes behind them Without the silencer, the 3.5" Kakimoto exhaust is louder than a Mack truck!! (and talk about drone central) Nismo front pipes and hi flow cat help too Polish bay that could look better with a bit of a clean All taken on Canon 1-D mk3, with either 70-200 f/2.8L USM, 28-70 f/2.8L USM or 16-35mm f/2.8L USM. Cheers
  2. After picking up my R on Tuesday, I've finally realised that owning an R isn't as easy as I had assumed. I noticed today on the road that Skylines..especially GTRs are rarely seen on the road during the middle of the day. WRXs, XR's, HSVs, SS etc are so common no one really stops to stare at them really, though i must admit this purple 6ltr with massive kit and bonnet scoop was a hell head turner today. But between the space of 1 and 5pm on Tuesday, I had countless local hood rats yell out 'that's sick man' , a fat lady bend my mirror trying to get in between my whale and her whale of a 4WD, schoolies take mobile phone pics of my car (according to the hairdresser where the car was parked across from) and every person driving next to me just gauking at my car / wanting to drag me. Now some people would like that attention, but seriously all of the above just made me so paranoid that I'm now considering not using the R as my work car, which was the main intention of use for the car. Driving it daily to work and back, especially if you're car is in a secured spot would be an ok thing but after my short experience this week I'm re-thinking about my use for the R. I think what it will boil down to are the places I have to visit during the day, and if any involve Midland Gate or going to places in the likes of Swan View then I won't be driving the car.
  3. But another thing I would be cautious of is that the car would need to be registered here to be insured here in Perth. Just Car Insurance said they wouldn't insure me if the car wasn't WA registered :s
  4. If you're bought a complianced import over east, you don't require to get it complianced again. You don't require the car to go over the pits on the east coast, as their rules and regulations won't apply to Perth necessarily. Just take the car over the pits when it arrives here. If it passes, you pay all the necessary fees and they whack on some state government plates for you then and there (so I've been told on the phone by Licensing Dept) A temporary moving permit which lasts 48hrs will need to be arranged when the car arrives to Perth as it becomes unregistered once it lands here. $18 from memory is the cost of the permit, and can be paid over the phone.
  5. Added V35 as requested in topic. The results I think are interesting so far. Spending all day on the road I actually see more R34s (GTT) on the road, followed by 33s (GTST) then 32s (GTRs). Really depends on where you're based I guess :S
  6. Based on the closed topic, thought it would be better just to see a poll of what Skyline is the most popular on SAUWA.
  7. Final quote on car, which I'm soon to accept. No excess: $1885 , $2650 if stolen
  8. I can't confirm if its a GTR, though a drive to the impound place in Welshpool could probably solve it Wouldn't be surprised if its on the news tonight anyway.
  9. Just recieved this at work: MIDLAND HOON 201 KPH Police have clocked a Nissan Skyline travelling at 111 kilometres an hour over the speed limit on the Roe Highway at Midland on Wednesday (5 September 2007) and seized the car for 48 hours. Traffic Enforcement Group officers were conducting laser speed checks near Toodyay Road around 8.30pm when the Nissan GTR heading towards them was recorded at 189 kph. As the police prepared to stop the sedan the driver allegedly accelerated to 201 kph in the 90 kph gazetted zone. Police stopped the car and interviewed the 19 year old driver and the two male passengers and established the driver had completed his probationary licence period four days earlier. The Nissan was impounded for 48 hours and the 19 year old Swanview driver will be summonsed with Reckless Driving (Hoon Legislation). ----------------------------------- *I know who it is (not personally), but not at liberty to mention his name*
  10. You can email them [email protected] Won't be an instant reply, but if you're in no rush they usually email you what can or can't be done from your short list of options in a few days time.
  11. Damn that's harsh. I carry a happy snap camera (with video function) with me at all times just in case cops / general public arent' going to be friendly. The other week I took pics of some dude bashing up his girlfriend in the middle of the day in Midland. However cops didn't do much, as apparently half an hour before he did a stand still in the middle of the street venting out some anger (almost running over a cop in the process) after going to a domestic violence therapy session minutes before hand :S Only in Midland hahahaha. Another question for those that know: Is exhaust size a road worthy issue (eg. 3.5") or just the noise it produces? Is this the same case for BOV also?
  12. I got the 1D Mk3 yesterday, but didn't have a wet dream last night However when I went to work today, I realised I left the batteries for it at home (on charge) so I'm using my Ixus 65 instead lol.

  14. What do you mean by "compensation components loaded in as an upgrade"? I want the car badly Brockas, and nothing (except another buyer) is going to stop me lol.
  15. Cheers for the info guys. Yes it is a GTR Michael...I'm sick of doing single peggers, and time to get all 4 smoking now I'm not buying the car based on the ECU, however it just happened to be the one installed in the car. The other modifications to the car were the main appeal for me. At first I thought the HKS unit was just some cheap jap ecu unit you wouldn't be able to modify, but seems I'm quiet far from it. lol. I'll give the unit a go and see how it pans out.
  16. After reading some of the posts above, I'm feeling really hesitant now on a car I have my eyes on over east. It has a few mods (different turbos, ecu, fmic..pretty much the works though engine is still stock internally) however there is no way I would want (or even afford) to return the car back to stock form just so I can register it in WA. Anyway, I've got a question which extends a bit further than the one originally posted. What processes have people gone through to get a modified car from the east coast onto their driveway? Basically from the moment you saw the car ad (private sale btw), to payment of the car, forms, transportation, permits, rego, stamp duty etc I just feel slightly insecure handing over for example 20k for a car I haven't seen or driven, nor the owner's face too.
  17. Expensive from the tuning side, or for the actual unit? A car I'm wishing to purchase soon has the HKS F-Con (V Pro Gold :S same thing), however I'm not sure whether its worth my while taking it out and putting a Power FC in there instead as the cost of the FC plus tuning is apparently similar to the cost of just tuning a HKS F-Con. At the end of the day, is the money you fork out to purchase and tune an F-Con worth it ($ vs. Gain) vs. Power FC + other ECUs.
  18. Are they the only modifications to TK R34 GTTs? My mate just bought one today (picks up tomorrow) and I've been trying to find info about the TK versions with no luck. Pics of it are here http://ucn.dealernet.com.au/photo.php?ucni...515F063F3A58B2F
  19. On Sunday was Ti's 9th Cruise. Few Skyline owners from the club appeared during what was a nice cruise. Team Integrated 9th Cruise Photos A couple weeks back Ti also had their 3rd Promo shoot for the year. Not the best work I've done, but something that I've learnt a lot from. Shoot involved an R34 GTT, S2000, MY05 STI & Holden Calibra. Team Integrated Promo Shoot Round 3 and here are some extra shots from a seperate shoot not long ago with some of the cars:
  20. My pics: http://teamintegrated.org/cars/tsunami/
  21. Photos should be up shortly on my mate's car club site (will put link up when its official), and also should be appearing in a few various issues of Community Newpspaers as I overheard some journalists talking about doing a writeup on all the Tsunami donations / fundraising here and was quick to point out last night's cruise.
  22. My mum use to work in the camera section for the cops, and for xmas / birthday she gave me a framed copy of my first ever speeding fine. Was pretty funny. But whats better than a photo of yourself from a multinova? Photos of the multinova operators: Taken one rainy night on way home. Was cruising along at 60, and detector goes off so I slow down to 40 and for the operator I floor it and get wheels spinning. The multinova flashes, and I look down at speedo and I'm just doing a tad over 60 and thinking wtf. So I go home (two streets away) pick up my camera and take 5 shots of the guy while driving past. This guy was funny. In the morning I saw him setting it up so I yelled out some abuse, tooted my horn etc. The typical shit they get from most people. Then I find myself coming back the opposite direction in the morning, so I pull out my camera and yell out more abuse and when I got home to look at the pics I find the guy is pulling the bird!!! Hell yeah!!
  23. Here we go: Sorry about the shit pics of the newspaper, but I was in a rush and you get the idea anyway. Pics by Dominique Menegaldo.
  24. Yep, from me. I was asked to look for a suitable person & car as my work knows I'm a bit of a hoon myself, and that I know some people with nice cars. I couldn't resist not picking Roni for the job as she's got a car that stands out (to both cops & public) and also races professionally on the side. Saw her pics from the photoshoot earlier in week, and gotta say they are pretty nice esp from a non professional car photographer and on a digital SLR camera...hahahahaha (private joke between Rick & I) Will appear in the 14/09 edition of Stirling Times. You won't be able to miss it that's for sure!!
