  3. yeah i know, ebc should be fine though now i need some guidance with the rb30 swap. anyone know any good reliable workshops that will do the machining for a decent price?
  4. nah no hoses.. i think it just shit itself.
  5. its not running. ive got my brother in law to help me put it together. with the rb30 it would definately be cheaper/quicker.. i just need to find out which one i need.
  6. and just to add.. im going with an ebc. no more bleed valve!
  7. thats given me alot to think about.. where would i go to get my head modified to fit onto an rb30 block?
  8. mechanics in her area arent familiar with her car so thats why she needs someone who knows what theyre doing. ill tell her about that regency park thing. thanks for everyones help!
  9. not sure where.. its an 89 prelude so im not sure where to look.
  10. a friend of mine lives in SA and has been defected for the lowering of her car. can anyone tell me the laws because people in her area dont seem to know a damn thing about them. where is the officer meant to be measuring the ride height from? are there ways to get out of it? are there any workshops near lincoln (i think thats where shes from) that can do a decent job on performance cars? thanks guys.
  11. if this is still for sale by this thursday ill take ill pick it up this wednesday or thursday for $110. let me know
  12. it was definately a boost spike mid-burnout, i think it hit around 20-22psi while its only been tuned for 12psi. so that would've done it for sure. if i did a 3L bottom end it'd be a stock 3L. id rather a forged/strengthened/balanced rb25 bottom end than a stock rb30. being a uni student i could only really afford to do either one and i'd rather the stronger rb25.
  13. pics of the headgasket to [email protected] please and would the headgasket be safe to travel to sydney?
  14. the water would more than likley heat up to the engine temp (radiator will more than likley be hot if the engine is hot), rather then the water cooling down the head at a rate that could damage the head.
  15. if this is still for sale in a weeks time ill pick it up for $130, let me know. im in bankstown.
  16. $70 for the bov.. i want this gone guys
  17. call the brown one Mr. T, hes got the hair goin on.
  18. go to repco or supercheap and get something called "bug and tar remover" spray some of that sucker on, let it soak for a few mins and it'll come off. it gets the black soot that stains on the rear bar from the exaust off too.
  19. ive got a bleeder valve on my car, not ebc. im pretty sure the c**t spiked up to 20psi when it was tuned to 12 while i was doing a burnout at the start line.
  20. i had the same problem. little flying ants were eating my car! when i did my quarterly bug spraying for my house i gave my car a really light spray of the stuff. i left it for a few mins then went and washed my car. its worked so far.
  21. probably just an alternator mate. change your battery too just so you've got a fresh start. as for it not turning off.. i wouldnt have a damn clue.
  22. so everyone whos cracked a ring land has had a bad tune? not overboosted? not worn them out over time? yep, i love it when people make conclusions with absolutely no background information on the car. LOVE IT!
