  5. arent the n/a cams 'harsher' than turbo cams? im not 100% but i was told n/a cams onto a turbo head would be more beneficial. not the other way around. someone please correct me if im wrong. or are you just trying to figure out which ones will fit?

  13. mmmmmm... sandwedge. yeah ive hit it across to the other side but it swung over to the left and over the fence. the driving range at homebush is pretty cool too. the guy who drives the buggy that collects the golf balls gets easier to hit every time.

  15. its pretty much straight forward, it wont be any different for an r32 i dont think (i only did it on an r33). it wouldnt be different to any other car. take the rubber seal off the outside of the window, get some strong thin steel wire through the seal and run that around the window to get it off.
  16. i didnt see where he said it was emptying into a catch can. my bad. he was running 15psi, now hes running 18. i know its a long shot, but could that have anything to do with it? the head return may be blocked because of the combined oil drain. i've proven to be useless in this matter so now im just throwing up ideas.
  17. i had the same kind of problem. i used to lose around 2L of oil every few days, but im running nowhere near that kind of power. the problem was the oil drain pipe being blocked by the pcv - the build up of pressure in the crank wasnt letting the oil return flow freely. same principle COULD apply here. i noticed that you said the oil return for the head was routed to the oil return for the turbo. is it possible that the return you plumbed into the turbo drain pipe blocking the oil drain for the turbo? its possible that the oil is backing up all the way to the turbo then being forced out of the oil seal ring.

  19. iridiums go for around 18 a pop so you didnt get pumped. the cheapies go for around BCPR6E /-S. ive got iridiums in my car now but im going to use these as soon as i can be bothered heading to supercheap.
  20. yep. the demand is very low for auto boxes. you might even have trouble getting rid of it mate. i saw one around a week ago (off an r32, but is the same as r33's afaik) get given away.
  21. i thought an update was needed after so damn long. the turbo is going strong. VERY strong. im running it on 14psi daily. might hit 18psi a bit later but i havent been bothered opening up my bonnet for a few weeks after all the time ive spent under it lately! i've sold my SAFC and was getting around 380/tank with the tune i had. on the standard computer im getting 430km/tank which im finding strange. anyways, the reason for the long reply was i had a few oil problems. i did my valve stem seals, fixed up the pcv and its all running sweet. also because of the n1 oil pump im using which pumps 25% more oil ive been told, ive made the reducer 4mm as to not flood the turbo. im going for the greddy ultimate so ill be back with results after im finished with all of my uni work and exams are over (i know ill spend too much time on the car if i get it before!).
