  1. JPNZ have translated manuals.
  2. The transfer case is supposed to take that Nissan Matic-D or Dextron 3 fluid. I used a power steering fluid that was similar last time
  3. Have you had the gas system tuned recently? It might be worth it...
  4. If your talking about training to failure than I disagree. 8 reps is generally too many for me, but I might try it at some point. Thanks for the advice
  5. There's quite a bit of evidence against static stretching for most scenarios, you might want to have a read
  6. Varied, one I fall back to is 5*5. But most sessions are different rep numbers, different weights. It's rare I go beyond 5, unless its a 20rep squat set. I've seen some guys doing 50 reps @ 60kg on the squat, I hate high reps though. AFAIK, there is no magic number for reps, lower numbers are generally used for strength training though.
  7. I have to disagree there, HIIT and sprinting burn less short term but more over the 24hour period. Steady state on a treadmill produces little in overall increase in metabolic rate over a 24hour period. However 130-150bpm isn't what the average person does on the treadmill Agreed on anaerobic. HIIT is by nature anaerobic. Otherwise you're just doing interval training That said, any cardio is better than no cardio. +1 But supplementation wise, you should need very little if your eating properly. Don't fall for the GNC trick, I did, where you walk out with $100+ worth of supplements for your pre/post/during workout.
  8. If you also read carefully, he advises diet is much, much more important that any choice of exercise. You cannot out-train a bad diet, I've seen a few people try it. Kickboxing I'd count as closer to cardio. When Markos says "cardio" he often means something like this or a variety of exercises involving moving light to medium weights around for a lot of repetition. That does build muscle & cardio at the same time. If anyone doesn't believe me, try it and you'll find out for yourself I've done heavy training 3 times a week and lost weight, and also gained weight with similar training. The only difference was my diet during the week. 1/2kg a week is a good aim. Losing kg/s week is good, but doesn't last long and when you drop too low you start losing strength/muscle and your resting metabolic rate so it doesn't work out well longer term. Also, for anyone still doing "just upper body", you can't get that big isolating one section of your body. Your body grows as a whole. Squatting is considered the king of all exercises for a reason. My upper body got a lot bigger when I started training full-body 3 times a week. If your looking for a workout routine try the skinny guy routine, it doesn't just apply to skinny guys
  9. Thanks for the info. The chances are slim, but I've decided to challenge it on principal, I'd rather lose in court than accept the fine.
  10. In person he's a really nice guy. He does have a strong attitude but it doesn't come across the same way as reading the newsletter's If you read only the newsletter he would not be what you'd expect...
  11. If you ever train there, you will understand that what he writes is nothing like how he is in person.
  12. Excellent post. A simpler way to look at it is your body adapts to what your doing. Long distance running, minimum body weight is important. HIIT, explosive power is important, which is why sprinters spend a lot of time in the gym and they look ripped
  13. I'd hate to tell you, but this isn't that far off the nissansiliva section on the same subject now If you want serious advice try the forum on here http://www.prorawpowerlifting.com/ I've posted these before, a few of you disagree with this style. But for the people that don't: THE DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO FAT LOSS AND BODY RECOMPOSITION Newsletter 37 10 GREATEST FITNESS/STRENGTH MYTHS What not to do in the world of fitness and bodybuilding and supplementing Adzmax's diet is good. Nice work!
  14. Even the police officer advised point (2) is illegal, you *must* turn left from a left turning lane. If you look further back on that road, you specifically enter the slip-lane about 20metres back and its clearly marked as left turn only. I doubt a judge will see it that way, I'm just deciding whether to challenge on principal or not. Agreed that you are supposed to give way to all on-coming traffic, but I didn't expect someone to be driving through a left-turning slip lane. It is a poorly designed intersection as the traffic island should sit more forward to prevent someone slipping down the left lane and then merging.
  15. Technically speaking if I was driving the wrong way up a freeway and I hit you, you didn't give way.... Yes its unreasonable, I've been told the chance of winning is close to zero. I can't really afford the lawyer so I'm deciding whether to go it alone or drop it and take the 3 demerit points. The chance of the court raising it is unlikely, but chance of winning is slim, the judge would have to be having a great day to even listen.
  16. Ok I tried, still looks terrible. Red is the bad car. Blue is me, I couldn't fix the colour for some reason. Black in neutral cars. Keep in mind he was doing 60km/h and I was doing 5-10km/h, so I didn't see him until he hit me. He didn't even brake.
  17. They booked both drivers with the reasoning "it was an accident" and that I didn't see him. I can't see through stopped cars unfortunately. I left my X-ray vision at home that morning, right next to my spider sense.
  18. Sorry about the description, I should have put some more effort into that post. He denied fault, my insurance said they will recover the money from the other company. As driving illegally in a slip lane, is well.....driving illegally.
  19. Sorry, forum is inaccessible from work The driver admitted that he was going to turn left but "changed his mind". In other words he was passing traffic down a slip lane. He hit me at high speed, he ended up on the RHS of that traffic island. My car ended up spun around (and over the giveway sign). You can laugh at my diagram, just not on the forum Any advice appreciated, its obviously quite stressful, although I'm much less stressed now that insurance have sorted things out
  20. Try searching for squealing brakes Or similar
  21. Hi, So I'm getting the hint that irrelevant of what happened, the chances of winning are close to zero. Anyway, this intersection http://www.nearmap.com/[email protected],145.2544324&ll=-38.046355,145.254743&z=21&t=h&nmd=20110120 Banked up / congested traffic in two lanes, I pass the 2 lanes of congested traffic and a car hits me by attempting to pass the traffic down the turning lane at about 50km/h I could argue that the left lane is a slip lane, but then it could be argued I failed to give way to someone in the slip lane, even if they were driving illegally. It was impossible to see past the banked traffic and the driver shouldn't have been there, nor should have he been driving at 50 or 60km/h. Insurance is sorted, he lost. Should I challenge the police fine in court? The other drive was charged with careless driving I think... Thanks, Gareth
  22. Which oil? According to BITOG Motul 8100 X-cess 5w40 is a IV/III blend, and the price reflects that. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=85798 The Motul 300V is mostly group V and the price reflects it
  23. Yes 1 red light camera fine. And that's it for the past 5 years. But everytime I speak to them (only twice now) and I mention street parking its an instant no
