  1. Didn't he have other mods though? I was kinda hoping for about 240@wheels with about 1 bar of boost, filters and full exhaust. Am I aiming too high?
  2. I didn't think that the standard injectors on an R32 would be able to supply 200rwkw of fuel?
  3.   You will get a slight increase in noise by putting in some form of replacement panel filter like K&N.
  4. Hey guys, From a freshly rebuilt RB26 (with standard internals) out of a 96 R33 GTR into a R33 GTSt, approximately how much power @ wheels running about 1.1 bar?
  5. I couldn't see any specs on toluene there??? Was it called something else?
  6. Cold air intake basically means shielding your pod filter from the hot engine bay temps. This means that your charge air will be cooler even before it hits the intercooler. It will only make a small difference, but a difference none the less.
  7. Surely it's not that bad if painters use it on a daily basis?????
  8. Actually, I think that 1 bar is 14.7 psi Sorry to ruin your little formula
  9. That is some very interesting information! My brother is a painter, so I can get this stuff at trade prices Why the price difference between paint shops and automotive shops?
  10. Would you consider a swap for a pretty stock manual 4-door R32 GTSt?
  11. ^^What he said. Provided your AFR are ok your internals should cope fine at that boost and power level.
  12. It's really hard to put a maximum hp figure on the standard turbos without knowing your supporting mods. R33GTR turbos are able to support up to 1.4 bar, though they are pretty inefficient at this boost level. The maximum efficiency is about .8 bar to 1.1 bar. The N1 (steel wheeled) turbos on the other hand are most efficient between 1.1 to 1.5 bar.
  13. I'm just talking about putting your foot down in 3rd and when it hits boost, the car steps sideways. If your car is doing this with 255 on the rears in a R33, then you must be making some serious torque.
  14. Go softer so your car can squat down on the launch, and let your tyre pressure down quite a bit for better traction. I would go the Z32 AFM as there is the option to select that airflow meter built into the Power FC, which will make the tuning process a little easier. When making that sort of power I think you are better of sticking with a product you know works. Good luck at the drags, I'd say a low 12 is on the cards.
  15. Going back 12 months ago very few people upgraded cams, but now a lot of people that are making mid 200rwkw are starting to realise how much extra power can be had from changing them. It doesn't seem to be a massive power gain (especially with a boost increase) in comparison to some others I've seen, but I can only assume the you would have set them for better boost response and mid range power rather than top end? Are you breaking traction in 3rd gear under acceleration yet? Congrats on a succesful upgrade
  16. It's common to see people making 300kw@wheels running about 1.2-1.3 bar but you will need other supporting mods. If the 400 hp you refer to is a flywheel figure, that is achievable with standard turbos.
  17. Nah, I doubt you'd chirp second, I thought only Excel's and Civic's could do that Have you got an updated power figure? Can't wait to see it out at the track
  18. Someones telling you porky pies. As I stated earlier, I had a HKS triple plate on the Supra and it was noticeably louder than the Exedy twin plate on the GTR. Maybe that was the difference between twin and triple plates rather than the brands themselves **shrugs** EDIT: Or maybe my HKS clutch was a bit shagged?
  19. I didn't find the Exedy twin to be overly rattly. Aren't the OS Giken clutches notorious for being really rattly???
  20. Agreed! I had an HKS triple plate on my Supra and it was very very bitey. No good at all for driving in traffic as it's all or nothing. Exedy twin plates seem to be really good on GTR's. By the sounds of things, they are quite similar to the OS Giken Twin plates as you are able to ride them a little bit
  21. Hey guys As the title states I'm looking for an R32 GTSt preferably '92' or '93' Type M and it must be manual. Colour preference would be white or silver and I would love a sunroof, but i this stage I won't be terribly fussy. I would like something moderately modified and it has to be a clean car, especially the interior. Please PM me if you have a car for sale or know of one for sale fitting this description. Thanks Kym
