  1. It wasn't just the tax withheld that was the issue. They offered to pay my final year UNI Fee's which was great of them. However, what they failed to make mention of is that by claiming the fee's as a tax deduction for the company, it was then a reportable fringe benefit for me. A reportable fringe benefit is then grossed up to calculate the HECS taxable income, which meant that my taxable income increased by about $8k (of which I didnt actually get in my pocket as it was paid on my HECS). SO end of the story was that due to the extra taxable income, I got a bill for $1.5k. So really I saved around $5k HECS for around $2k cost to me(as should have got a refund with deductions I had) which was good, but it was still a $1.5k bill that no1 told me would happen when they were being all nice and saying "we'll cover your HECS for this year".
  2. Agreed 100%. Last year I was screwed over with HECS payments not being enough, this year, they've fixed the HECS mostly, but still not taking enough tax out, grrrrrrrrr. Would help explain the big changes recently in finance department though
  3. ^ Declaring bankruptcy and being bankrupt are often 2 very different things..... I bet his family members who aren't associated with the business aren't "bankrupt"
  4. I just calculated my tax this avo, and I will owe $204 this year. Far better than the $1560 bill I had last year
  5. ^ That was the case on mine, 2 nuts were just non-existant!! Replaced now with new locking tabs
  6. Sorry to cut in on your thread but: Sullivan: I am up for a new clutch for my 33 also. The only mods are cat back exhaust and intake. I will be finishing the exhaust off, but most I'll be aiming for is around ~170rwkw. Will the Heavy Duty kit (for $396) be sufficient for this purpose? I use the car for mainly city driving to/from work with the occasional hills sprint on the weekends. I don't intend on any drifting ever, and my attend the drags once or twice to find out a time. Thanks
  7. I would suggest speaking to Fulcrum susp in QLD. They are the Australian Tein distributor, and develloped the Australia Super Street Specs. The will tell you what you can/can't get in Australian and Jap specs I would say.
  8. Whoops, my bad, I paid $34, not $17 LOL.. .just double. ^ But that's what mine looked like when I took it off the other month too, must be a 33 thing, blowing out 1/4 of the gasket rush: Mine sounded like someone farting in a tin can with that much missing
  9. ^ I'll think you'll find she's a "sista"
  10. Could be intersted in a hoody, but only like Jugz design, rest are a bit meh. When a cost is sorted, I will give a definate answer
  11. LOL I think its the clutch vibrating cos there is sweet FA material on the plate... its not a strong vibration, im just pedantic about my cars. Clutch is getting done in a couple of months, in the mean time not really driving it.
  12. Yup, just opposite the liquor shop (which I can't remember the name)
  13. Yup bought one just recently, about $14-17 from memory, I got mine from Unley Nissan, little cheaper than Main North
  14. vibrating crutch.. I mean clutch ..... Seriously

  16. Sorry forgot to add the PIC before. Its a single POT (single stage EBC i guess?) and you can see the solenoid in the top LHS of pic.
  17. Well I was recently given an Electronic Boost Controller by a mate. It was originally his uncles in his 200SX, and was installed by Fueltronics back in about '98. The only markings on it are AVO Turboworld Springvale, and the name E.B.C. 1 I contacted AVO and they provided me with wiring instructions but nothing more. I see they are still selling this EBC, and they are charging $700+ for it, so figure it must do somethign right?! LOL I would like to know if anyone else on here has one, and how I go about setting it up? IT simply has a rheostat (POT) for control, with no output display etc. I figure it will just be turn the dial and watching boost guage, but hoping someone else can shed some light on this. Cheers
  18. NP will be there at 1:00, looks like table for 4 again

  20. Well, wasn't what you call a huge response hey? LOL Is this still going to happen? I may be keen but would need to know tonight
  21. When you're 6'4", you need more than 1.5-2 foot... even with the door fully open, still look like a fool sometimes
  22. Cheers for that cubes! Do you do this in your shed with the car on Jack stands, or is a hoist really more necessary? Also, where can you get a flywheel machined southern suburbs, and any idea of cost? Cheers!
  23. Has anyone changed the clutch on their 33 (or 32 with 25 box) and can provide some guidance? My clutch is showing signs of saying farewell, and I would like to give it a go myself but have never changed a clutch. Is there special tools needed (aligning tool?) and would it be possible to do it without a hoist? Also, removing the flywheel for machining, how hard is this? and how long would my car be out of action? I tried to search the DIY section, found some help, but would like to know if anyone local would mind lending some advice and some help possibly Cheers
