  1. Seen numerous times a purple 40th anniversary 33 in Melrose Park Area (wont say exactly where). Looks VERY Clean Also, Someone spot me already! LOL
  2. ^sorry for off topic, but martin you sold #055 for a commondore?
  3. really spewing I missed this now
  4. Interesting. I thought you posted it in your sig as you were a supporter of all things ns.com and were trying to make fun of SAU and my comments. After reading your post in the other thread on here, seems I was wrong. However, I still fail to see how its a good thing having it in your signature on ns, just causes more un-warranted friction. Would you mind removing it? Cheers
  5. Adam, Shaun at boostworx is knowledgeable in all things RB, so I would suggest him for sure. Cost? Well an inspection for my car was going to be ~$120 prior to purchase but he was rather booked out at the time so I went to Hi-Tech Dyno.. I would MUCH Rather have waited for Shaun in hind-sight. Hope this helps
  6. Good to get some other feedback Ben. I would agree that on the track they may not be the best as they would probably be a little soft for the best track handling, but for a car that never/rarely sees the track I think they are great. I too intend to get some whiteline front and rear swaybars, and with these in place I think it will just complete the package
  7. They'll get over it and so will we. The fact that nisskid put my quote in his signature is just evidence of the immature attitude of many people on ns.com. I have no doubt that there are many people on there who can drive and more than likely better than me (Aussie for 1). But the fact that you read about almost every one of their cruises involves a crash from people going to fast in large groups causing rear-enders etc says it all. There are too many young kids who obviously feel they have a lot to prove. I feel for people like Loz, Billy-E etc who have nice silvias etc but are surround by people who drive like right dicks. My 2c
  8. Sucks to hear ecenshu.. All the times you park at work (wont say where), I would have expected it to happen there not near your home!! Bastards
  9. really? I would have though organic would have been ok for ~170rwkw. Hmm might have to have a more detailed chat to Shaun I think.
  10. Hrmm, what is this mate of Darrens?? I remember reading about him, works at extreme? Shaun (@ boostworx) told me my clutch is just about stuffed, however im only need something to hold 160-180 rwkw. I drive the car in a fair bit of traffic so im thinking a heavy duty organic as I have been told that a ceramic button will poop itself quicksmart with clutch riding of traffic situations. any other opinions?
  11. Just got some Toyo T1Rs on my SP23 a few weeks ago. 205/50/17 were $225ea fitted and balanced. Compared prices (in 205/50/17) with Falken FK452 @ $229, OEM Bridgestones @ $230 ea, and Dunlop SP SPort Max @ $330 ( ) Grip is better than the OEM Potenza 040's, however there appears to be a little more sidewall flex on turn in. Once settled the car is beautiful through the corners. Overall Im very happy with them, especially in the wet. Price wise they were great, however I was advised that for the skyline (235/45/17) the price was not so comparable :S Dry: 8/10 Wet: 8/10 Value: 9/10
  12. When is Darren's 31 expected to be back on the road? and how far is he going with the bottom end?
  13. Bummer about the license Paully.. If you get it back though, won't you be on 1 point for 12+ months? could be even worse than having no license for 6 months?
  14. Yup, that's where the term came from a LONG time ago. Then in the 90's when everyone started putting bodykits on excels & mirages the term rice was applied to them as they were all show and no go. Thus deluxe's and others view on rice. Then with the rise of Grey imports (silvia's, skylines etc) in the late 90's, the term rice still stuck although these cars would beat 90% of the local products of the time. Now days, rice is very mixed, bit like special fried rice!
  15. Won't be there as Im presently running "slicks" and won't have time to get new tyres before sunday. **Note: they started life as street radials LOL
  16. I totally agree there is nothing rice about any of the cars that dad owned previously, however I was pointing out that in the 70's they were referred to as "rice burners" just because of the japanese heritage. You could hardly call 120+mph (195kph+) in the 70's "rice" by todays definition, BUT thus the adaption of the term as I was refferring to
  17. Well I won't be on the rollers (clutch is mcf**ked) but I think I'll definately have to come down and see this!
  18. Too true however, dad did have a 240Z back in the early 70's, his first really fast car, after owning his 1600 and then a 180B, got a 240Z then an XB Fairmont with 302... what a varied diet he had, mix of rice and beef!! LOL
  19. Rice came from the old school V8 boys (Ford, GM etc) that originally called Rotaries, Datto 1600's and anything else from Japan "Rice Burners". In their eyes anything Japanese made was rice, fast or slow. Thesedays with a lot of cars coming from Japanese heritage (Nissan, Toyota etc) Rice has been narrowed down to any car that has looks not go is called "rice". But everyone has a slightly different meaning for it. Here ends rice history 101 LOL
  20. Oh FFS! I have a work lunch on Friday now.. How about we make it early next week rather than a friday... fridays are getting worse for me!! Wednesday the 22nd?
  21. Did you lose your license Paully? And PM me details, will do my best to get there
  22. Could be a good.. If i dont have new tyres on the rear by then though it may not happen for me :S
  23. Glad to hear its sorted Paully. I had new Toyo T1R's fitted to my mazda on Friday, and Troy was a champ to deal with. Very happy with the customer service from ATP
  24. Well, I've been away on a 2 day workshop for work mon/tuesday, an now I have a conference to go to Thursday Friday. So no lunch for me this week either, work is getting stupid crazy! This can be Ecenshu's choice this time, I SHOULD be in next time, grrrrrrrr.
