  1. Auto (can do a manual conversion for ~$1500) - if it's an issue you can talk to me about factoring that into the price. I'll get some pics up in an hour or so
  2. Hey all, After 18 months of ownership (I'm the only one to have owned it in this country...) and due to a lack of full time job plus a massive amount of uni bills mounting up its time for me to sell off my baby. But what a beautiful baby she is! It's a Black 4 door 1989 GARAGE IMPUL R32 Gts-t (R32R), number 121/200 ever made. Physically and mechanically this thing is very nice. I've taken the utmost of care with the car in the time I've owned it, it's been my pride and joy. Externally the car is beautiful. I've known a few people which have not liked the look of the R32 Impul's or any 4 door R32's in general - until they've seen this one. The black add's a whole level of class to the car and really does justice to the design of the Impul's. The bonnet was resprayed a month of so back after it started to peel due to a scratch put on it in a parking lot. It still matches up perfectly though. Mechanically the car is fantastic - at only 116,00km's. It has the full log books from Japan and has had it's timing belt replaced. It's been serviced and tuned by Boostworx and performs very well. It's just had very nice new rubber put on also. Standard Impul Modifications: Impul Exhaust Impul Rims Impul Bodykit Impul strut brace with the issue number stamped into it GTR bonnet Impul Floor Mats Impul Steering Wheel (+ air conditioning and all the standard Type M features) Extras: Bosch Fuel Pump K&N Performance Filter Aftermarket Suspension Brand New Tyres Turbo Timer Brand New brake pads and rotors I'll be posting up some pics probably later today. I need to sell this ASAP (as I said bills and fees are just getting too much). Asking Price: $14,000ono I'm in St Georges (near Burnside). Contact me at - [email protected] - or PM me EDIT: Here's the pictures I promised:
  3. Apparently if you want top performance on regular pump fuel you'll actually find these ethanol blended fuels provide the best performance as long as you get a TOTAL retune. Else I'd probably steer clear as if you have a highly tuned car it will lean out alot more using an e10 or e5 fuel.
  4. Hey all, Haven't posted here for a while now! But anyway, my poor baby's been having a few issues building up over the past few months, and I just havent got around to fixing them, mainly due to NO MONEY! But, I've hit some money, but not much, so its time to get some of these things sorted out... Body work: First, my bonnet's paint has started to peel (it was bad on the bonnet from when i imported it) but it needs to be resprayed now! All I need is for it to be resprayed the stock black. Also some tool ran into my right hand back door and dented it and scraped off some paint (while it was parked and he didnt leave his details!). So i need that beat out and resprayed. Finally my car needs a good detail! Like a really good cut a polish, and a few little nicks a scratches sorted out, blackened tires and rubber etc. So for those three things does anyone have a reccomendation of where to take it. I figure those three can all be done at the same place as its all body work. Bear in mind this is a budget fix up! Also anyone have a rough idea how much I'd be looking at to get that done? Maintenence issues: Squeaky suspension! Yup my suspension squeaks like there is no tommorow! Annoying as all hell! I need it fixed badly! Also i have a squeal on the right hand front side of my car, I think its due to my brakes, sometimes its really audible other times barely at all. Still annoying and need it fixed. Finally my baby sometimes takes a while to actually ignite when i start it. So i want that sorted. So where would be the best place to get those little issues fixed, again cheaply, but well, and again roughly how much would u say it would cost? Thanks guys! Adam
  5. Darren - anyword on the stalling problem? BTW - I'm looking to do the same conversion soonish
  6. Cubes - Did you build this RB30 yourself and just get Shaun to tune it? I really want to plunge into this whole RB30 thing as I love a bit of torque but unfortunately while I "know" a bit about mechanics I have really only ever messed with the basics in the real world and so I don't know how much I trust myself... And I don't have all the tools at this stage! Seems to be a couple of SA guys on the RB30 bandwagon (mr_rbman I'm looking at you!). Maybe you could all teach me! Heh
  7. Hmmm, my first experience with Shaun - loved him, good rates, better service. My current experience - not so great, he's had my car for 3 weeks attempting to diagnose a stalling problem with it and its still not resolved. Hopefully that will change tommorow though, we'll see. Honestly though, I think I'll go back, overall still a thumbs up.
  8. Heh - I'm having the EXACT same problem!!! Boostworx has got my car atm and has for the past 2 weeks trying to sort it out!!! We've tryed averything, had the auto-elec there a million times, tryed second hand parts etc. Nothing! Finally he was going to try replacing the fuel pump, but he would have had to order in one. So instead I'm just getting him to install a Bosch 040 which I was going to do eventually anyway. Hopefully that'll fix it! Thanks, Adam p.s. with the fuel pump it can be running fine but still be the problem due to intermitent earthing problems, instead of mucking around with wiriing etc I'm just replacing it (a worthwhile upgrade anyway if your ever going for any performance mods!).
  9. Hey, I'm after an 040 - thats a direct fit replacement for the stock 32 GTS-T pump right? I'm in Adelaide so can I pick it up from you? Thanks, Adam
  10. Habib, I've seen stock 32 GTS-t's doing 15's...
  11. Heh, congrats! I've only owned mine for about a month now (r32 gts-t) and I've dropped back to being a student this year! I have no idea how I'm going to afford the habbit! But I love it nonetheless! The 125kw @ the wheels she's got atm just isn't enough! More I say!
  12. Wow... awesome responses Cheers guys! I pretty much figured all this would cost. I just figure its more about the most cost EFFECTIVE way of achieving what I want rather than the least cost. And you guys seemed to have hit the nail on the head I pretty much knew 250rwkw may have been dreamland but this is all research and helps me figure out where I should be going with all this! So thanks anyway I'm going away to Queensland in a couple of days so a two week break and then its time to hit the car with the first round of mods One final question - when looking at the suggestions for achieving the 200odd kw mark things do obviously start building up in price (a rough guess would look at $5000 tuned or so). Would it be smarter to pay a bit extra and rid myself of the RB20 altogether? Prehaps do a RB25DET or RB26DETT swap? What sort of monetary figures would I be looking at for something like that? Thanks again, Adam
  13. I know, I know, these get covered all the time and I've read many a thread on them, hence how I got my ideas for what I want to actually mod... BUT this thread is really me just needing confirmation that I'm heading in the right direction for some basic mods. So anyway I've got an stock R32 GTS-T with a full 3 inch exhaust system and thats about it so far. It's going to be a daily driver so reliability is of the utmost importance, and as I'm going back to full time study this year everything I do is on a budget. My plan is in the end to be running 200-250rwkw. Basically I've got the exhaust covered so I'm planning to go for as my next "stage" - FMIC (something like this: http://www.modyourcar.com.au/product_info....roducts_id=2058 ), pod filter, upping the boost, then a re-tune (do I need an engine management system for this, or can u tune the standard chip?). How does that look? Would I be looking at close to 200rwkw at this stage of things? Does anyone know what a reputable workshop would roughly charge for installing and tuning this? Also rather than just using the stock turbo, would upgrading to say an RB25 turbo be worth it for a gain in - a) reliability, B) better low end power and c) for potential higher boost? If so how much would I be looking at for a second hand RB25 turbo installed and boosted? And also what power figures could I be looking at with an RB25 turbo, FMIC, pod filter and tune? Also in terms of monitoring all this I'll be adding a turbo timer + boost gauge? That should be all I need really? With these mod's will I be safe with the standard fuel pump? Sorry about all the questions, I've learnt heaps already from you guys already but yeh I just need these things to be set straight in my mind Thanks heaps, Adam
  14. Man if I had the cash floating around (well I would if I wasn't going back into study). I'd snap these in an instant! *drools* Acutally - how about a bid - would you take $1200???
  15. My Auto R32 is a couple of days away from being on the road. I'm gonna be converting it within a few months to an RB25 manual box (possibly, still undecided). I'm only gonna be slightly working it (between 200 and 250rwkw) so hopefully that should hold her. But yeh, virtually negligible differences - get the auto
  16. VERY interested. Would these slip pretty much straight onto an R32 GTS-T? I'm in Adelaide so i can pick up. Actually just read... there's no tyre with that right? Hmmm... Still interested maybe.... Cheers, Adam
  17. I'm going through imports101 actually. So they basically do a to ur door service. Organise everything and other than pay them money (the hardest part!) you don't HAVE to do anything. I'm getting Danny to give me run downs on everything that is getting down, how they go about it, who they go through, etc etc so next time (cmon, you all know there'll be one ) I can do it myself, or at least the majority anyway). So I guess my answer is I'll tell you how I (they) went about it when its done
  18. I was expecting that But its all good, at least it gives me a range of people to talk to, get prices and choose for myself whos best when it comes to modding my car.
  19. Well you probably COULD pick one up for $17,500... dunno if it'd be drivable though... You'd have to do more work than its worth to get it up to scratch if you got something at that price. I'd suggest saving a bit more and spending ~$25,000 that way you should get a nice clean example with prehaps a few light mods. Just my view though and I'm only a novice at importing too...
