as above guys. these are £11 a shim in the uk. i will probably need 24 as the cams are jun and noisy.. set the gaps to std last time which i have now found out is fine but not for jun as they reduce the base circle by 1mm. i have some tomei buckets to fit but until i mic them i am not sure how much ticker than std they are. are shims cheaper over there guys? anyone get me what i need if i send the sizes?. bernie uk.. rb26/30 rebuilder. p.s contacted precision shims but heard nothing?.

hi felix, just done mine. r33gtr. box goes straight on but you have to redrill the bottom 4 bolts. i used cap screws as in the piccy.. p.s use the back plate as a template.. bernie uk.

It's a Nismo Gmax Item probably the best twin plate in the world for road use and 650fwhp.. oh and i have one in mine...

just got my acl bearing s from my engine builder. the mains are all the same apparently rb25/26 30 but the big ends he has supplied say rb30 only.. will these be ok for a 650 fwhp or should i exchange them for 26 ones. i am using spool rods..bernie uk.

right guys my rb26/30 is well under way. had the block cleaned and dipped, new welsh plugs, decked, bored for the cp,s .35, stud drillled for cam tensioner and 2 holes drilled for knock sensors. asked the engine shop to drill my block,to take my rb26 arp studs. they said it was to close to drill and said it would need to be helicoiled. can anyone who has actually fitted and rb26 head on an rb30 using the 26 head studs tell me the best way to go..thanks bernie/uk p.s also got my crank back polished and proengines collar fitted. it was also balanced with the 26 front pulley, rb25 crank bolt and flywheel. guy said it was 10 grams out, seems to be centre main web and front pulley that needed drilling to balance it up..

well if you are putting it in an early rb26 then yes. you will also need the cas.and it needs the wires reversing to work. my mate just fitted a 34gtr ex cam to a 33 engine. you have to cut the cas wires and then re-solder them on 180 degrees.bernie.

hi guys, well my rb26/30 combo is well under way. block has been fully stripped core plugs the lot, and then chemically cleaned. crank has had proengines collar fitted and a nice polish, will be balanced next week. here is my problem. block is going of for boring and have done a search with not a definate answer. what piston to bore clearance do i need to tell my engine borer?. got the rods,pistons from spool but got not spec sheet, pm,ed him and he was finding out for me, but that was last wed. i need this info for monday morning uk time really.. below is my spec. any advice guys..bernie/uk rb30 block spool rods cp 8.5 pistons. king bearings n1 oil water pimps proengines collar rb26 head polished/ported jun cams 262/272 9.7mm lift tomei camm buckets. sard 1000cc inj twin tomei in tank pumps fedding both ends of fuel rail gt35r 1.06 rear on extreme manifold 44mm tail ex gate. 4" downpipe 1.0 tomei headgasket trust deep sump extension..

just like to add guys fitted my pro engines sump adapter. today, superb bit of kit and fits no prob. instructions are top notch and top notch servive ..cheers gary.. if you need a kit like this buy pro engines one ..simple as..
