  1. oil pump is good mate, took it apart no scoring or anything. tuner thinks the over fuelling washed the shells prior to the dyno session?. they all look very shiny like they have been chromed, i was using acl duraglides too not race..the only real difference i can see is that very rarely did i hold it at 8k, but it was at 8k for quite a few runs, not holding but peaking there,not sure if the constant 8k revs could have done this to it?.
  2. hi marko, was on apexi d-jetro b4, the car has never been driven on the road with the new g4. just had a rough base map loaded so i could run the car upto temp and check for oil leaks and water leaks.

  4. hi guys, alot of you on here have seen my thread ref my 26/30 build. car has run faultless for 12k and 2.5 years, decided to go link g4 this year so bought one and had a base map loaded to get my car ready for the mapping, when i started it up at home it was rich 8.1, got the laptop on straight away and after about 10 mins got it down correct, i had never used the g4 sofware before hence the delay in turning the fuelling down, anyway onto the trailer it went for the 300 mile round trip on the dynopacks. changed oil and filter before i went also, car runs cp,s spool rods, acl duraglides,n1 oil /water pumps, trust sump,6 boost many, gt4094r at 2bar boost, 1000cc inj,twin pumps etc.ran on the dyno for about 2 hours on low boost upto 1.4 bar and 8k limit. switched of had a brew then restated car, after a few seconds the engine started to tap, switched it of and removed plugs. no5 piston tapping head game over,stripped it down at home and no5 big end spun, all the rest mains and big ends are fine, apart from scoring which will be shell contamination, had crank checked, well bent 10 thou on no6 main. questions. did the overfuelling help do this n1 oil pump issue at 8k clearances on bearings when i built it where 2 thou mains/big ends 4thou endfloat, enfloat is still 4thou after 12k have bought a tomei pump now and 1000bhp ati damper. rotating assembly was balanced but using original rb26 front pulley, this has slight cracking on the rubber now, could this have been an harmonic issue.. see pic below guys, feel free to comment, good or bad..lol also some skirt scuffing and side wall bore markings, was bored at 3.5 thou clearance?.

  6. hi guys, been on here for a few years now, my rb26/30 just spun no5 on the dyno after 11k hard miles, no other shell damaged but its bent the crank 10thou, anyone got a decent one std bearing size and are willing to crate it up and post to me in the uk ?. if it has a collar on even better, but i do have a couple of spare ones, have email proengines but not heard back yet. pme me or email me ..   7. i have cp,s and spool rods in mine, its on the spool website,cars done 10,000 miles now with a gt4094r on it..it has 650 at all four wheels, built mine myself and 3.5 thou clearance. my old rb26 which i also built was at 4 thou thats now done 15000 miles. bernie uk
  8. hi guys, not posted for a while but have been nosying on here..i dont want to upset anyone on here, but why is it time and time again you guys buy the wrong turbos for there applications?.1.2 bar? the turbos wont do anything until 1.5 bar. get some boost in them and there will be no lag. we run an rb26 here with -5 at 1.7 bar there is 1 bar at 3200rpm and full boost by 4000rpm. you would have been better buying -7 or gtss for the power you are making. remember lifes starts at 2bar of boost..lol. bernie.. get them wound up or change for smaller ones and get them wound up then enjoy the car for what it is..
  9. change of direction so all above is for sale, preferably as one lot., its a apexi power fc d-jetro,comes with a mercedes uprated 4 bar map sensor, £100 on its own, hand commander and wiring, you will need to source nipples for it as i am still staying on map sensors.. looking for £620+ p+p, looking at the yen today these 78,000 yen + postage new and thats with a std 3bar map sensor.ecu only and £220 for the apexi avcr boost controller full kit or £800 + p&p the lot or 1500 aus dollars delivered Bernie. i have paypal if that helps and Brad @ Spool, and Gary @ proengines has dealt with me in the past, just incase you guys are worried about buying of a pommie.lol

  14. i used 300zx arp main stud/nut kit on my 33gtr rb26/30 set up, you need to shorten one stud for the drive shaft clearance.done two now both done over 7000 miles no issues..bernie uk

  16. hi guys, dont think anyone on this site has mentioned this yet, if the rb26/30 is going in a 33 then get a 32 hard pipe hks etc, its a straight fit no alterations, the 32 hard pipe from wing-plenum is 38 mm taller than a 33 one. this only works fitting a 30 in a 33 shell bernie uk. p.s i know i have done it..
  17. mine runs a std rb26 damper,, 750+bhp and 7500rpm+ all balanced, done 7000 miles on it now no probs..bernie uk

  20. i run a 4094r, rb26/30 jun stage one cams thats 264-in/272-ex with 9.7mm lift.spool rods and cp flat top pistons. acl bearings ,n1 oil/water pumps, car made 710bhp @ the fly with wastegate leak, put a second spring on and that sorted it, not dynoed it yet but will be doing in feb. car runs a .96 rear and makes 1bar by 3200rpm, makes full boost by 4000,wether it be 1.9 bar, or we have been as high as 2.7bar now. i think this turbo is awesome, and to compare it, i have have a rb26 with hks 25/30,s and an rb30 with a gt35r 1.06 rear, the 4094 spools faster for its size than the 35r and comes in only about 300rpm later. its an awesome turbo..you need to drive a 26/30 with one b4 its condenmed its awesome. bernie uk p.s 710 @ the fly was @ 6800rpm.

  22. yes mate they are the same, the main difference is the exhaust cam on the 34, it uses a different cas drive..
