rockabilly replied to rb25tt's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
what makes the manifold mate and where did you get it..just interested..thanks bernie -
hi mate, yes seen mark berry,s car superb, but not a real comparison, i know simonster on here was going twins but thats not happened yet,i am dying to hear from anyone running either 2860-5,s or disco potatoes on a 26/30 set up. i know i will be dropping power for responce but on track i believe the car will be faster if that makes sence..lol
-
i find this set up a little laggy on tight tracks the silver r34gtt in front runs a to4z around 670@the flyand an rb30 with a 25 head

weld some fittings on the end of the std rail, i have found the std rail has the largest inside volume of any aftermarket rail. i run 640 @ the hubs with 1000cc injectors on a std rail.. just my 2p worth .lol

I hope you aint building it yourself... behave...........lol

hi guys, how hard is it over there for me to get the crown wheels and diff pinion from a set of gts4 diffs, mine are out over winter and am thinking of replacing with 4.4 front and rear, i am on v spec rear so would need to fit the crown wheel and pinion into my diff. if this is an expensive option maye fit the 34gtr getrag box instead.. bernie uk

Oil Pressure, Head Restrictor, Big Pump = Too Much Oil
rockabilly replied to BoostdR's topic in Forced Induction Performance
yes mate .65mm. tomei supply 1.2mm in the h/g kit, we have blanks made and drill them to what we feel we need. take a look at the banjo,s that come with hks turbos, the oil feed ones, they have a restrictor fitted in the end it is like .9 mm i think. tiny really if you think about it and thats supplying the turbo bearings,i know they are bb and dont need alot of oil.. -

metric?. my gauge reads in psi i just converted it for you guys.. believe me when i did a compression test this week and the cam covers were of as i was checking valve clearances at the same time, with the cas disconnected and wot the oil that was being pumped to the cams was unbelievable. i suspect with a 1.5 mm in there and 8000rpm there would be a gallon a miniute in them covers, no cam baffle will help that, its no wonder they breath. if i built another i might even reduce it more, its frightening how much oil get up there from such a small hole, god forbid i left both the oil feeds in, the sump would empty..lol -
Oil Pressure, Head Restrictor, Big Pump = Too Much Oil
rockabilly replied to BoostdR's topic in Forced Induction Performance
at 90 degrees on track i see the following, running tomei pump as it came, acl race bearings 1000 rpm 3 bar 2000 rpm 4 bar 3000 rpm 4.7 bar 4000 rpm 5.6 bar 5000 rpm 6.5 bar 6000 rpm 7.4 bar 7000 rpm of gauge 8 bar,but i have a capillary too that shows 8.5 bar but this piont things are moving fast and its difficult to concentrate on a stupid little gauge in the corner. -

good pionts mate, we have built many engines and i too cannot find why the 30 blows oil out. the only design differnce in the two is the windage trays?. one has them and the other does not. i suppose running toyo 888 on track wont help .lol.. -
