  8. I have been ringing around trying to find the best price i can get on Redline Lightweight Shockproof Gearbox oil and have had prices like $140.00 from Croydon for 4 litres to $119.00 from Unique but the best i have found is $104.00 from Conventry Auto Parts. Just thought i would share it with everyone if anyone can get is cheaper please list WHERE and how MUCH
  9. good stuff my 13.6 was done on cheap ass street tyres so hopefully i will be able to improve myself still using cheap ass tyres but with the car tuned and the LSD fixed might go quicker
  10. hey abo bob I will be racing there and currently i have only managed 13.6 should be fun so come on down
  11. My skyline weighs 1400kgs and with only 175kw(235hp) at the rear wheels on street tyres with sub in the boot spare tyre jack everything i ran a best of 13.60 at 102 mph with a 2.1 60ft with TRX rims which are only 6 inch wide. the only advantage i have is that with the 31 i do not have IRS so better intial traction. I am running 33 motor and box so the diff is the only difference but the ratio is about 3.8:1. also i had dropped tyre pressures down to 20 pounds since then have had the car tuned properly and now making 182kw's at the wheels and having rebuilt the LSD am waiting to run again hopefully lower in the 13's
  12. I have a EMS running my 25 and it goes really well the Air flow meter has been removed due to EMS running a map sensor. ad V+E rigoli tuned it not to long ago and it cost me only a pittance less then $300. originally the car was running with the ems piggybacked into the standard comp now it is operating by itself

  16. Devils advocate here What about the guy who wants to go racing with his car but does not have the financial means to run 12's 11's etc so in a way DYO is good for these guys to get out and enjoy the sport instead of getting shot down by a 11 sec skyline , rotor etc i personally love the idea of heads up faster car wins but bracket class like 10-11, 11-12, 12-13 also I liked the format for The first Drag combat in Sydney. I raced in DYO but for the faster cars there was the RWD class AWD FWD and so forth then the pro classes. I have backflipped alot within this post but i am not putting it forward to say one is better than the other DYO for the budget racers for example (me) and then the separate classes for those with the means (Stace and Paul, Adrian, and hopefully i will get to the stage where i can run in RWD) but till then plug allong in DYO NO OFFENCE ment to anyone Stace, Paul and Adrian I am only listing you guys as a example. But obviously with time and feed back a system will be found that works for all.
  17. In regards to the QSR Bmw that was only doing exhibition passes as because the motor is not OEM it cannot fit into any class at the moment the engine they have was only ever in a Le-mans car (and was never turbo charged) which one the 24 hr back in 92 then got the boot like the skylines in group A
  18. I will only be there spectatcing as I need to rebuild the diff after the floggin i gave it at Powercruise. should be a great day for racing cool weather and DRY
