I think the idea of getting an R33 is nice good plan they are solid hard wearing cars with plenty of bang for your buck so to speak $20,000 is also a good idea. The problem I see is a slight misconception of the prices these cars are compared to what each individual example is worth. I am sure you have heard about companies that import cars directly from japan really cheaply etc. My opinion is that these companies sometimes bring in less than excellent examples of these cars. So you pay SFA alot of the time. When these buyers are reselling their cars they usually sell them for similar prices to what they paid because there is no sense delaying sales for no reason. This is what leads to alot of cars being really cheap. Others have paid good money for good quality cars in excellent condition. These buyers are the ones you see selling vehicles for what sometimes seems like extraordinary amounts of money when you consider the age of the vehicles. You will also start to find that the owners of skylines that are online on this forum are very very fastidious owners who genuinely care for their cars and really its thanks to these owners that you can pay "a little extra" for the car but you are guaranteed a good example. Its hard to say because everyone is on a budget, but dont let price guide you too much when looking for ones of these cars. You will find that you will start to think they are all the same poor condition cars, until you step out of the price range and look at something a little more that you will discover the difference. I hope i havent offended anyone who looks after their cars and I hope that those that do not start to, there is nothing worse than trying to sell a neglected car. Good luck in your search.... dont worry it wont take long!! RiaZ

Does anyone have one of these lying around and they want $20 for it I would like one please RiaZ

i had plenty of test drives and 4 of the guys that tested it didnt even want to flog it (suprising yeah) cos they werent sure on the power/handling the final guy used to race in the UK etc and i have no doubt he can handle the car but he actually had respect for a nice car and didnt thrash it really. if the dude is 17 and you can see his bright P plates then be cautious about the handing over the keys also if they rock up in a beaten up bucket of crap go with them cos you really dont want to be left holding the keys of that while him and his mates roll away in your pride and joy (FOR FREE) good luck mark

i have one on my R33 with the r34 ducting etc to the cooler and the car is also mdded and hasnt pinged or anything strange, and doesnt seem to care too much i could notice on my previous R33 when enough was enough and you had to let it cool. so yeah for the small price its worth it, and if you can set up a decent water spray for a few dollars more then thats alot more efficient that stock but yeah still no FMIC

it is apparently supposed to the the part that links the compressor wheel to the shaft (if thats how it joins) thats plastic and apparently on seriesII's if overboosted it separates I still say its BS because there are not 2 different turbos listed on nissan parts catalogue so how can we differentiate and say for sure. SOUNDS LIKE SERIES II ENVY TO ME

excellent price - i hope someone will buy it off you.... because the fact that we are saying in a round about way that it is too expensive is obviously not working

When you ring for prices on clear indicators do not mention you own a COMMODORE, these tricky blokes tend to rip off trevs who diss their civics etc the price for them is ~$100 could be $105, i cannot recall. this is for a Nismo item now $200 will be for a Nismo item in japan and then shipped over here after the supplier and initial retailer and the smaller store retailer have all made their profits i would be interested to know who quoted you $200 for a pair though are they like a new form of clear steel of something....do they flip round to provide a shaved fender look?? FIRE BRINGER i will grab the part number for you and you can order it yourself through nissan in NZ.
-
I think you will find is $100 per pair Secondhand yeah around $50-$70 i mean indicators arent really a wearing item like wheels etc, so they should really hold a decent value still cam and anyone else if you dont get this pair and still want some lemme know RiaZ

thanks for the offer gradenko i might be round in a fortnight i think once the kit is on if WORKS AUTO do me a good price also the thread BOO5T is exactly the thread i read a while back and was looking for, so glad you found it, i was getting hell annoyed I am going to rip the bar off etc and see what goes where and what i can do to those lights. like up the relays and stick some brighter lights in, as long as the plastic can handle it umm the stereo brackets are $11.50 from nissan (EACH) so I might just fork and buy some cos its too much stuffing around, then i will need one of those dual diversity antenna adaptors as well. also anyone selling any 6x9's cheap, lemme know otherwise i will have to tap into my resources. i can't believe series 1's are like so different in the small little things 1 more thing, is anyone selling a series II wing here in Perth
-
i know about the stalk cos i had a series II before and those do a whole lotta something which is fine. back to the front bar indicators very annoying... and there definately is 2 different types with like I said a larger and smaller clear section next to the indicator. maybe its just spares that have been thrown in from another r33 that did have lights in that case i see some missle switch action. test wires for what wattage bulbs they will support and bobs gonna be my uncle umm paul tis true the fun has begun already i will holla at ya for sure anyways next and most importantly is the stereo bracket. need tunes arrrghhhh its been less than 24 hours since music in the car...the world is gonna end. anyways next week i should be at kwinana seeing what abuse this car will take considering the clutch is not standard. oh yeah someone answer the clutch question

What up muh peeps!! I picked up a series 1 last night Before i commence the RiaZ transformation i need a bit of help i searched last night with no luck the front bar indicators/park lights/driving lights (not sure which) is spinning me out I have seen 2 types one has a larger orange indicator section and a small clear one and the other is the one i have with a smaller orange indicator section and larger clear one. Is this an indicator/park light or indicator/driving light is there supposed to be a switch? how does it all work? is it just so it looks pretty? anyone who can locate a thread please put up a link if it helps answer these questions second thing is has anyone got any spare mounts for installing a stereo? (the factory brackets used to connect to hold the deck in the console are missing) or if anyone has some lying around that I can look at to make my own brackets that would be fantastic oh yeah 1 more thing clutches do 93 r33 clutches wear so the engaging is at the floor or higher up thanks i am sure there are plenty of series 1 owners who know all these answers RiaZ

How to get semi-light scratches out of paint?
NO_RSPECT replied to quink's topic in Western Australia
get a good cut and polish and cut it back glide on glaze is for shine you need something a little stronger that will basically eat away a little clear coat which is where the bulk of the scratch is and then you buff that off and then stick a bit of 3M or mothers glaze shite on and good as new. if the scratch is still visible then the scratch is not a "light" scratch -
