$250? Cod
-
for $720 i wouldnt do it i mean $300 will get you the cooler here in perth (check silvia WA) and then pipework can be done yourself for about $150 and even if you pay someone to weld it its still cheaper.. hmm $450 versus 720 plus shipping... no thanks
-
dr00 have you done this before? by that i mean are you talking from experience... cos i am going to be going over soon and if all i need is a permit i will do that

This is the job I did on a Proton Rocker Cover... harlequin purple to green.. Spray cans... $80 for the paint.. some prepsol... bit of sandpaper... geez it was tempting to polish the crap out of it after it was cleaned and prepped.

there are 2 types of trailer lamps.. the big square edged round ones that stick out heaps and look shizzle or go to WA salvage and get the smaller more rounded ones... they fit really well and look quite OEM if done right now alternatively... i think its the pajero or the daihatsu terios or something that uses a clear round indicator that you will find useful.. post a pic first though please..

ARC vs HYBRID ...hmmm i would swap it plus about $100

I think that a $50 car cover will do the trick dude.. sure it wont stop the local thugs to drive off in it.. but hey at least if they fill it with boxes etc.. you wont even notice till you go to drive it

Unique Auto Sports have them thats the pic of em $70 each 15mm thick not too shabby.. mind you thats for the 5 stud to 5 stud... but make some enquiries the 4 to 5 stud shouldnt be too much more
-
and by convert your wheels i meant convert your hubs
-
dude why dont you buy the wheel spacers that will convert your wheels from 4 stud to 5 like you get a spacer its about 1" thick or less or more as it is a spacer its like a hub extension so it bolts to your existing hub via the 4studs and then has 5 studs protruding from it so that now you can use gtst or s15 wheels i know in the eastern states you can get them from autobahn or somethng.. but not sure in perth who stocks them

cmon guys why do you alll always do this the question was about something different FFS INSURANCE CONTRACTS ACT my man... seriously they cannot refuse your insurance without giving you notice first 2 weeks prior to renewal seriously look it up etc and they will have to give you the insurance or the broker will have to honour the policy for you depending on the type of broker.. works for them or works for himself.. someone here is liable and it isnt you this is the whole reason they have a renewals. anyways please look into it as you are within your rights... they will also have to provide you with an internal disputes route for you to follow... i don't see you losing this one.. anyways REV inregards to HBF.. no insurer unless stipulated will use NEW parts on a secondhand car... doesn't make sense.. unless they say they will in which case they have to.. yeah sure i work at HBF thats fine... i am sorry you had dramas with your claim.. but dont expect to pay the cheap premiums you do and get new parts.. its not viable financially. repairing damaged panels etc and using lots of bog isnt something that will usually be approved in a repair anyways.. but yeah most repairers are dodgy.. and insurance companies while paying out the thousands of claims a month that they do..sometimes wont take the time to make sure every car passes an examination at the end for quality work approval but if you are not satisfied with the job it can be done 10 times over within reason... why... well thats the reason they have approved repairers because they are supposed to guarantee a level of workmanship lots of places have been dropped after cases like yours.. when a workshop continually fails to appropriately fix a car.. .you also have a choice to move to another repairer if its unacceptable.. go with lombardis or something from the get go and ask the repairer if they will use secondhand panels or new ones from japan.... its all relative in the end thanks for the rant though.. it helps with customer feedback i hope you passed it on to the claims department instead of just having a rant online oh yeah and i dont pay the claims personally out of my pocket so i am not sticking up for them for any reason apart from the fact that there are always many many factors involved. lata people oh and taye dude seriously speak to the ICA about your CONTRACT expiry terms and conditions
-
insurance contracts act states you require 2 weeks minimum notice on changes to the insurance companies policy in the form of a derogation notice in your renewal. did you receive a renewal?? EBM or CGU should have sent you a renewal at least 2 weeks before the renewal i think you could be entitled to free cover hmmmmm free cover larghalarghalargha contac the ICA insurance council of Australia and ask them what the deal is with no advice of changes from CGU or EBM cos they are essentially the broker and your insurance company

Or if you want.. get a hole saw and a drill get an intercooler kit there are cheaper ones advertised on here i think but you can get a hybrid kit for $1150 and thats with polished aluminium pipes and includes hoses etc.. and full instructions including pictures. That will take you a couple of hours to fit. and about 3 days to get delivered to your door. same goes for the boost control you can get it on the same delivery for about $360 or something same goes for the pod filter. take a weekend to get the cooler and pod fitted and then drive down to perth and get the boost control and the ecu and the clutch fitted.. a clutch place can do it if you book it in etc and then you can pick it up or wait there and then go to a workshop for ecu install and tune. it cant be that hard..just get to planning
-
intercooler takes an hour and bit to fit roughly.. thats a DIY jobbie though using a KIT like the Hybrid one...boost controller.. if manual is very quick.. electronic is a bit of stuffing around.. so 2 hours or so there. computer same thing..plugins you can plug in yourself.. 15 mins... or a workshop doing the dyno tuning will do it all for you..clutch sorry cant help there. pod filter is about 15 mins...if you have the afm adaptor. and that will include removing the old airbox..
