  1. So I had a huge misfire last night waiting at a red light immediately after exiting the motorway. The car was shaking like an old bus. The misfire continued until I put it in third gear at about 4000rpm, after which it stopped. There were no more misfires when I came to the next red light. Last time I took the car in to service I was informed that the rocker cover gasket is leaking. It occured to me today after watching this video that leaking oil could be fouling the sparks, causing the misfires. Has anybody ever had a misfire from oil leaking onto the sparks?
  2. Anybody still play? PD just put out the Track Creator
  3. Yeah I'm in my fourth year too. I'll probably be there for a few more years to come lol

  5. Awesome bro Do you study at UNSW? I've seen your car parked on that street a few times before.
  6. Saw a nice clean white R33 on Atchison Rd, Macquarie Fields.
  7. Saw a Bayside Blue R34 coupe on Day Lane, Kensington near UNSW at 3. The owner had just parked and was getting out of the car, I pulled up, stuck my hand out the window and gave him a hi-five.
  8. Spotted a clean silver Skyline V35 on Glenfield Rd at 7pm.
  9. Over the last few days the misfires have stopped and the engine is running fine once again. The check engine light has also stopped turning on. Could the misfires have been caused by a bad batch of fuel or something?
  10. Is the noise high pitched? I used to get a noise on starting, it went away after I replaced the coil packs on my N/A R34.
  11. Silver R34 coupe in the M5 tunnel eastbound at about 12pm. Liked the aftermarket brake lights.
  12. Hi, so I've been getting some violent misfires sometimes at low revs. Its like that for a couple of minutes at low revs then it runs fine. Pulled the fault code and it's error 21, P1320. Googled it and I read that the most likely cause is to do with coil packs. http://engine-codes.com/p1320_nissan.html I don't think its the coils themselves because I had them replaced with JJRs just a few months ago when I had another error 21 and a misfiring engine. And its run perfectly since then up until a week ago. I didn't replace the spark plugs then, could it be those this time? The odometer reads 135000 and I don't know if the previous owner replaced the sparks at any time. I also read somewhere that sparks can go bad from being run with bad coil packs, and I was doing that for quite a while last time I got the error code. Thanks
  13. Saw a Bayside Blue R34 coupe WA33AD on Hume Highway in Liverpool. Looked nice.
  14. Saw a silver R33 at 4pm on Tooronga Tce Beverly Hills
  15. Had some fun with a white R34 GTR, southbound on Hume Highway through Liverpool, about 6:30 this evening. Saw an R34 sedan on Glenfield Road just after. Spotted an R33 on Glenfield Road a couple of hours before the 34s. Lots of Skylines out today in the Liverpool area.
  16. Casula KFC is around the corner from my house, so it would be rude to not put in an appearance.
  17. Hi, I've got the 25-GT auto, and I've been having problems with my instrument cluster lately. The speedo, tacho, and odometers don't work properly. Normally when I start the car, especially for the first start of the day, the instruments don't work for a good 20 minutes of driving, before they start working again. This has been ongoing for more than a month, it first started when I was driving on an error 21 code, which I resolved last week by changing the coils, though it has gotten worse and worse recently, taking longer time for the sensor to start working. The last time I filled up, the speedo and tachometers didn't work after I started the engine, and the fuel gauge also didn't update until the other instruments started working. Today I was driving without the instruments working and the engine light came on, it went off again as soon as the instruments started working and then came back on later when they weren't, only to disappear once again when the instruments started working again. I got home and plugged in the scanner, I got Error 14 P0500. So I've obviously got an issue with the vehicle speed sensor. What I wanted to ask was if the speed sensor from a RB25DET is compatible with the RB25DE engine I've got? Also, would it be worth my while to get it checked out by a mechanic or should I go ahead and purchase a new speed sensor? I read that this fault can be thrown by loose wiring and other causes, I might not have to change the speed sensor but as it has been a problem for over a month I'm not sure if I will luck out with it only being a wiring issue. I'm in a bit of a tight situation financially as I've just had to spend a substantial amount of money on the coils and the labour so I'm looking to avoid having to purchase a new sensor until I'm certain it needs to be replaced. Would there be any easy way to check myself if it's a wiring problem? I'm absolutely hopeless mechanically so anything more than opening up the hood won't work for me. I was thinking I could try connecting to my scanner while driving without the speedo working and checking via my phone's Consult app to see if the ECU is still putting out a proper speed reading, which might indicate that it's a wiring problem. Thanks
