I think you hit the nail on the head with that one. So many people can't understand the costs incurred by a business through having it using up equipment that could have been used on other jobs.

I got my Focus serviced at Ford, quote $300, charged $550. Same shit really. No one offers fixed price work these days, as there are too many unknowns in engine work. However I do agree that workshops should keep the customer well advised of increase to the expected work before continuing.

Get the paint code from the plate in the engine bay, then get a auto-paint shop to make some up. But personally I'd go straight for a re-spray

How did you go Gav ?

Imports 101 & AutoWorx do a similar thing to J-spec, but I've personally never used either. Best to give them a call, and get them to walk you through the entire process, rather than getting it 2nd-hand from us
