  1. FINISHING TOUCHES So my car had it's Logbook signed off on Friday, which means I'm not too far off getting the car signed off for racing. I also submitted my Provisional Clubman Circuit license, completed the online test, and did my Observed License Test on Monday, so should have my competion license soon The car had its first shakedown at a Motorkhana event on the Sunday, and then on the Monday I was at the racetrack. All seemed to be going pretty well, other than the front guards rubbing, but then the brakes seemed to have developed a massive vibration, enough to shake the entire car, so it kinda stuffed up my day at the track a bit. Still the engine and everything else performed really well, so in general I'm happy. I've since investigated the vibration, and I think it may actually be a stuffed wheel bearing, so looking at fixing them soon. Due to the weather looking a bit dodge on the weekend, I finally got my ass into gear and fitted the perspex windows. I think they look awesome Enjoy the pics PICTURES Back on my P's Perspex Windows Ready to Roll A Day at the Office
  2. Nah, something a bit more serious, massive shuddering through the whole car, I though I may have cracked a rotor, but external viewing doesn't show this. I'll strip down the brakes next weekend and have a better look.
  3. Great to have the track open again. Passed my Observed License Test, but plagued by a braking problem which meant I couldn't really go very fast due to lack of braking
  4. I'll be there with a Gun-metal Grey R33. Lots of stickers and shit, so hard to miss me
  5. Was a good day, and for my first outing in ages I was happy that the car survived Matt, sorry to hear your bad luck, hopefully nothing too major.
  6. I was trying t confirm today whether this was actually going ahead or not. Has anyne confirmed with WASCC ? If it's going ahead then I'm hoping to be there pretty much all day
  7. Do a search fr things which are likely to have been asked before http://www.skylinesa...o-flare-guards/ Des from AutoFX did mine
  8. Seeing as this is a Skyline forum, I doubt there will be alot of opinions on the RX8. The seem to be an ok car, but if I was to go a rotary then I'd go for an RX7, as there is nothing quite like the kick of a turbo
  9. Jash is still around the traps, still working at WA Filter Supplies last I heard
  10. I believe he sold it to Marc some time back.
  11. I did, she's confirmed my entry. Also sorted a car trailer for the weekend, so I'm good to go Hope it doesn't rain, still got no windows fitted
  12. Still waiting to hear if my entry was accepted
  13. Forms sent in, fingers crossed for a spot
  14. Yeah, No Limits is cancelled, due to the ongoing works at Wanners. Will try and enter this event now
  15. Dear All, Due to the planned maintenance on Wanneroo Raceway, the WASCC have informed us today that the track will be unsafe and unsuitable for our event next Thursday the 19th of April. As we put safety above all else we have had no choice but to cancel our event. All event entries will be moved to our next event on the 10th of May. We have increased the entry limit on the 10th May event to 50 to accommodate anyone who was planning to enter in May, this leaves 9 spots left. We apologies for any inconvenience. Regards Brett Williams

  17. I'd like to do all of the events, but I need to do my Observed License Test at Wanners, and the Tuning Day may be my only option.
  18. Speak to Marco, I believe he's getting his engine built there. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/391567-engine-build-and-future-amateur-competition/
  19. I'm tossing up whether to attend this or the WASCC Tuning Day on the Monday.
  20. Yeah, it's starting to get real. Filling in my CAMS license for a Provisional Circuit license, and only a month of so from my first competitive race
  21. FLAME PROOF It's only a couple weeks till I take this to get Scruitineered for my Logbook, so I'm trying to do all the little bits which I'll need to pass. So I've spent a fair bit of time doing the front and rear firewalls to make them completely sealed. I used 3mm aluminum sheet where possible, and then fire retardent foam filler for all the small gaps (yes it's pink ). Other bits and pieces include mounting the 2 1kg fire extinguishers and the padding around the rollcgae bars. Enjoy the pics PICTURES Rear Firewall Flame Retardent Expaning Foam Filler Front Firewall Side Intrusion Padding Roof Padding Fire Extinguisers
  22. Before After Its hard to tell from the photos, but it was flared 15+mm
