  1. glad you like the car. To be honest I was a bit unsure of how they would look as its hard to guess taking in to account suspension ride hight and so on. But I'm very happy! Now if only I could get the damn center caps to fit on the front wheels!! Dave...your car is looking sweet with those Works! I hope I can get to see it up close. We really should organize a meet soon...maybe get the boys from Kansai up here too!
  2. Here is my car with the brand new CE28Ns! (still missing front caps!)
  3. it is not free. It is opened to the public on certain days and you have to check for the time. You buy tickets at the ticket office next to the entrance gates. Prices if I recall correctly are 14 Euro for 1 lap, 56 for 5, 143 for 12...or if you are there often you buy the yearly pass for 700 Euro. Well worth the money!
  4. I think the deal with the "Ring" is that its by far the most demanding circuit there ever was, for both driver and machine. Japan, although full of amazing circuits, doesn't really have such a legendary track with so much history and held in the highest regard by every car nut in the world. So people, rightly so, admire it. Plus add the fact that 80% of car manufacturers develop chassis/handling-characteristics of sports cars there, well not many places in the world comes close. Plus where else would you find such an amazing track so accessible to anyone wanting to try it out?
  5. Hi Dave, yep England is going down hill when it comes to speed cameras and traffic inforcemet My brother just finished uni and is glad he's back here now. Said england is getting so expensive it makes Japan look like a bargain! Plus the weather aint too great is it?
  6. Hi Dave! You're back! I actually fitted them today, but I posted 2 pix in the wheels section over on GTROC:D I'll post some decent ones once I have a chance to take better snaps
  7. I have a blue R34 GTR with broze CE28Ns, but might be coming with the old Accord though I haven't applied for any pass...I usually just go to the Media tent and show my credentials there and fill out the application on the spot
  8. Going on the Sat BTW. Found out that the Rd.5 competition is on Sat while Sunday is just exhibition
  9. "Filming" as in using the movie function of a small digi-cam to make short mpegs for website material...not TV/Video style...only the offical crew are allowed to do that
  10. I do some work for HPI, not long, maybe since March this year:) yukz2daizzo...sure dude...how about in the media tent? I'll be coming with my bro whos doing a bit of filming
  11. Yep I'm there covering it for HPI
  12. Here is your typical ferrari owner driving his car, 15km/h, in traffic, in central Ginza. Added drama courtesy of Photoshop and a lot of patience:D
  13. do you mean new cars or second hand? New cars are a little more expensive than in Germany because of import taxes. Second hand...some models hold value well but others (especially +8 year old cars) are cheap as chips...
  14. Dave....no worries, I hope your son Sena gets better soon.
  15. Dave...can you make it to Motegi on Sun? Check the thread on gtr.co.uk
  16. That pretty much sums it up ...either way its sweat city for me:D:D

  18. yes Venice doesn't smell particularly great in summer with 40 degrees heat and 70% humidity....but some back streets in Tokyo can pretty much make you puke!! Plus Venice is in the North....try down south for serius heat!
  19. ha ha...LOL...Guess you've never been to Italy in the summer then;)
  20. There are loads of hotels to choose from in Tokyo. Sticking to the center is always a good idea as you are pretty much close to everything. A friend of mine that comes to Japan often likes to stay at the Prince Hotel in Shinagawa as they do good rates if you book in advance from abroad. http://www.princehotelsjapan.com/shinagawaprincehotel/ There was a post here recently where someone wanted pointers while visiting Tokyo. I gave a pretty comprehensive reply so worth searching for it. Re the weather....it will be very hot, especially in the city and not really pleasant if you are not used to it. But some people don't mind it (I bloody well do!). You will not find too much difference regarding prices. Europe is so bloody expensive these days a lot of stuff is a hell of a lot cheaper here! That expensive thing is all a myth carried over form the bubble economy... Hope this is helpful. Funny...you come here in Summer and I go to Germany! Yearly Nordschleife trip...can't wait:D:D
  21. Dave...looks like we have similar views from our houses. Minus the "cone" of course:D:D

    People in Osaka

Wonder if anyone can help. I know absolutely nothing about Osaka but I'll be going down in the next week or so for work to visit Rays Engineering. I'm trying to figure out where the HQ actually is. This is the address: 5-3-18, Nagata Nishi, Higashiosaka-shi, Osaka Any ideas how hard it is to get to from Osaka station? Also anyone have any advice on some nice cheap hotels to stay over for 1-2 nights? Many thanks in advance:)
