    Updated pix of the GTR

Evo_Lee...I use Meguiars stuff to keep it nice and clean although the exterior hasn't been waxed since late last year (just brought it to a local detailer). Engine bay...just a damp cotton rag and then some dress up product(can't remember the name, its by Meguiars), wax the engine cover, air intake and carbon shroud and thats about it. I really have to keep it clean as its really dusty where I live...just takes 10 minutes to do and is much easier to do it this way than to let it get really dirty and waste lots of time to clean it once in a while. Polski..I use a Canon 10D. For the above shots I used 16-35mm and 70-200mm lenses

    Updated pix of the GTR

Nothing to the engine, just full Mine's exhaust & ECU, bost controller, piping kit, intercooler, plugs, and oil cooler. I run Nismo S-tune suspension and ATS twin carbon clutch. Around the 400PS mark now.
  3. First decent pictures I take of the car after the new Nismo Z-tune bumper installation
  4. I'm about 250km from Sendai...pretty grim area of Japan up there...you could sneak off to either Ebisu or Sugo circuits to see whats going on. But apart from that lots of rice fields, lots of farmers and not much else!
  5. Mostly for rent but this might help. Buying a house in Japan is complicated business for a foreigner. Best of luck to you! http://www.housingjapan.com/ http://www.kencorp.com/property/index.html http://arkios.co.jp/propertiesbyrent.html

    Tas 2005

BTW...found out that Daikoku PA is now being closed on Sat nights. So if we want to do the meet it would have to be the Fri night after the first TAS day.
  7. Trust me ....after almost 12 years in Japan you get these kind of days/weeks/months (just like any other country in the world! Don't come and tell me you love everything about Japan...if you do you are the typical foreigner that has lived here a few years and has yet to notice the small things! I was just like this for the first 3-4). But IG isn't generalizing IMO I've seen what he is referring to far too many times. Yep Japan has surely pulled its self out of big trouble after the war (even if they went looking for trouble still on a high from past invasions) and turned the country around like no other could but this still doesn't mean they have sorted out every small detail... They still don't realize the importance of dental care for example:D
  8. Jeez...what do you expect?...just a bunch of farmers running the show!! Just look at the aid they provided after the Nigata quakes for example...absolutety pathetic for a first world country to be so behind in so many important sectors. If a whole country can't put a first aid team together for a natural disaster what makes you think a local ambulance/first aid service is gonna be any better? Makes me so angry sometimes I just wished they opened their eyes and figure important stuff out. And if they can't they should copy it from other countries since they seem to be so good at stuff like that:D And yes I'm in a "hate-Japan" kind of week right now! Thank God I'm leaving next week for a breather:D
  9. LOL There is a big & tall clothing store in Tokyo around Meguro somewhere...
  10. Even if I'm lucky to find stuff that fits....every time I point up or scratch my head the sleeves go up to my elbows:D Shoes? Forget it!!!!!
  11. The Japanese are smaller than westerners, so J-sizes will be smaller. In particular short sleeves, short legs on pants as they really do have small legs and arms. Also (generally) the size around the shoulders seems to be tight...but I guss that depends on person to person...can't really generalize so much as big, small, fat, thin, short, tall, deformed people are all over the world:D
  12. sounds good. I'll be able to hang around there 2-2.5 hours but then I'll probably head back home unless people want to drive around the C1 for a bit of fun:D
  13. Rezz...if you guys are sure you will be at Daikoku on the Sat then I'll try and make it down. How many people are coming then? Should be able to get some guys from gtr.co.uk to come over plus the Tokyo guys too. Let me know
  14. Most of the gtr.co.uk people will be going on the Friday
  15. about 18-19 deg, very dry, sunny.
  16. There are lots of importers/shops that sell Infiniti badge kits, grilles and steering wheels. Even Super Autobacs in Shinonome sells this stuff...so not sure if it would be an easy item to sell.

    The respray thread!

Wow Rezz! That is an amazing job! Your car looks new! I think you got a good deal there, at least you know your got money worth. How long did they work on it? How is the color matching with the rest of the original color? How many clear coats? Your car is looking sweet! Hope I can get to see it in the future...you Osaka boys should get your asses up here! Meet at Tsukuba or Motegi for a track day or something...

    drift on jap tv

Yes I know....I just though we were talking about regular tv. I have Sky perfect TV and BS digital. Anyway I'm at most JGTC, Super Taikyu and D1 races for work anyways:D I still think regular tv is a joke! The world stops in Italy when there is a F1 or GP race...and its not like there aren't any japanese drivers or teams so makes no sense it is not globally acknowledged here? Am I the only one that thinks this? yukio...yes I know what you mean. I meant the really silly day-time type commercials for food products, detergents and so on. Not the crazy bizarre ones they have on later on at night.

    drift on jap tv

I always found it strange that a country with so many motorsport fans shows absolutely no motorsports on TV. F1 is never live and its cut like crazy, MotoGP is never live either, JGTC, Super Taikyu are never televised, WRC... I'm lucky if I catch 30 min on ESPN once a month, scheduling is a nightmare as you never know when stuff is on as its never shown in the same spot. As for drifting, never seen it on TV, but like Dave I NEVER watch Jap TV. Even half the commercials make me sick....its like the US type of stuff from the mid 50s. Plus, 99% of japanese actors on TV act like 8 year olds at the school play and its boring as its always the same people on every show...which are just little kid singers/stars with hair cuts like teenage girls:p Thank God for bittorrent....at least I can choose to download/watch what I like!

    RC-cars

I was really into R/C as a kid. Still have one that I race at my local track and empty carparks for kicks, nothing competitive just a few friends racing. Had a huge crash in April and I'm almost finished fixing it up. I have an old Tamiya TGX chassis(and 350Z body) with OS15CVX engine with all the possible hop-hup options. Can hit 90 km/h with the tall gearbox. A pic:
  22. They have been trashed long ago:D
