  1. What I was saying was should I forget about the 1k spent on rotor and pad and get 340mm or bigger or keep what I have
  2. I did fit the front ebc dimpled and grooved and red stuff It almost crashed the other day as it soften up while doing a hard braking so either needs bleeding or something is wrong I am aiming to get 500-550 bhp from mine and want to have a brake which supports that power I have seen posts people using asaptor kit to use evo disc of 350mm My question is would 310 mm with brembo be as strong to hold the car at high speed ? There must be a reason all super cars have a bigger disc
  3. Hi all, I changed my front discs to 310 mm ebc grooved and red stuff Planning to do the same at back I want bigger discs for the looks of it but understand it won't fit it Has anyone fitted a bigger disc than 310 or 296 for rear? Do you gain much braking power by bigger disc as it has more surface ? I also have braided lines and racing dot4 catsrol What will be the next upgrade you do? Master cylinder or brembo calipers??
  4. Sure what is the standard amp for gtt? Any brand that you guys prefer What happens when the cable is 200 amp and you have a cold cranking amp of 500 ? Is it because it is milli seconds it will be quick and not melt cable? What happens when the car does not crank over and you keep ignition open?
  5. Planning to relocate the battery Does 70mm means it is 7cm in thickness ? That would be huge
  6. Hi guys Changing my r34 battery cable , what amp rating should it be and what brand is the high quality stuff? I have seen 30 amps but think that will not be sufficient
  7. Hi all Out of curiosity I wanted to know what my original skyline millage was. Seen website below claiming all Japanese cars have to register with some sort of database which shows its owner details and millage . If they can't obtain that then they will get the auction papers showing the millage on it It is £25ish for their cheapest service. Is it genuine? Worth it? Can one directly get it from that japanese database?
  8. so is best solution just blocking it and plug the sensor in ? has anyone done it ?
  9. Not tight but too mich for little plastic sensor that cost 30 pound brand new for all other cars and 150 for mine ! What is m35? I am happy to pay the premium of 150 but rather buy an upgrade or somethibg that is worth the money and not the same sensor just for me to take it out few month down the line when i upgrade When you unplug the pipe and have the sensor plugged it, it makes the car run lean. On idle my o2 reading is 0.5ish and with the sensor plugged and pipe blocked it is reading 0.2 and sensor unplugged and blocked around 0.8
  10. yep mine is a standard ecu. so 100% that is a boost pressure sensor not map sensor ? I have seen number of posts people saying they have unplugged them but certainly it does impact the running of the engine so how can you unplug it and get away with it ?
  11. well on mine no codes at all. but the engine is not running fine . I had a look at this post (below) and the guys says it is map and swap it with Haltech 3-bar MAP . I don't want to pay £150 if I can replace it with a haltch sensor but some are saying it is boost sensor and some saying it is map. I don't get any code but just engine light. http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/389661-link-g4-plug-in-vs-vipec-v44-plug-in/page-5
  12. Hi All, After much of research I came across this thread. Basically, I am having issues with my car and it is running rich . I think it is due to the boost pressure sensor or map sensor as some people refer to it . This is a pic of it as also per earlier post. I got a qoute for a new one and it is £150 UK british pound which seems a lot. I have seen this thread people mentioning to simply swap it with haltech 3 bar /2 bar. I am planning to do so . is it simply a rewiring and plug an play ? has anyone done this ?
  13. any ideas on whether this is a map sensor or known by other names?
  14. hi, did you find out if the sensor was causing the issue ? I am having a same problem and car is very rich. I think it is due to the sensor . People say it is map sensor so I am thinking I could get another map sensor and put it there but no gurantee it will work !
  15. Hi all, I hope all is well. Can someone please help me understand what boost pressure sensor does and how it works with the ecu? I was under impression that it is used by the internal gauge sensor but don't think that is the case and believe it feeds back to the ecu so engine will run lean or rich Also when unplugged engine light comes on I am asking because the head of mine broke and I glue it back together but it keeps breaking . When unplugged engine light is on and when not unplugged car is extremely lean if no line is going to the sensor on idle( reading my narrow band o2 sensor ) They are £40 on eBay for second hand which seems a lot brand new is £150 from dealer. what a rip off Do you know anywhere that sells brand new ones ? Part number is Bosch ps66-01 hitachi 8529 My car as you might know is rb25 r34 get. Picture is http://i8.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/af/eb...5.JPG?set_id=7
  16. ok when people say block it then that does no good either as the tank will be pressurised again . can tank pressure explode the tank or will it make the fuel cap opening harder ? or perhaps it passes through the cap when pressure is very high which one is the return , the driver side or passenger side pipe ?
  17. when you say pressurised, what do you mean ? as not been able to open the fuel cap ? I have looped it back to the tank so any vapour goes back in to the tank thus no harm to environment opposed to what people accuse me of:) What I am asking is , is that ok ? would the looping cause any bad pressure build up etc ?
  18. Well still no answer to my question and bunch of advise:) What i asked was is it ok that i have not vented the fume to air and back to the tank by creating a loop and no one seems to know!
  19. re view I mean't if cabling is right not anything else bud but noted your view and I am ok with is as is
