  1. haven't been able to find the spring so looks like I need to get another coil

I think i have just figured out the issue Here it is , i cleaned the plugs and applied dielectric to it to the round of the coils and then inserted the jacket or isolator Now in the process one of the plugs had its spring come out as it seems it was glued to the based as with all other ones so i manually inserted it in and put the coil back but it was loose so had to hold it by hand while putting that single coil on the plug As i changed the plug , it could have dropped out so there is bo spring in there which can mean one of the coils is playing up I need to open then all again to check, can the spring cause such issues and if so can you get the spring on its own ?

  6. pretty dirty spoke to the sales guy and he said most likely mine was fitted with a wrong filter which was bigger from r33. is this possible ? he assured me the one I have is the correct one ? even hks one seems small
  7. since I have changed the oil, the pressure has dropped slightly on the dashboard gauge ( the needle below rev ) from 4-4.5 to around 3.3-4 I guess this could be due to me changing the oil to 5w-40 and before it may have been 10w-60 ? re filter , i bought it from a tuner in the uk and presume they would not sell dodgy stuff. what pressure in psi should you read on the gauge ? I have installed evo gauge and soon will have the pressure shown in psi which at the moment i am relying on the gauge in the dashboard. I will k&n to find out its rating for the filter .
  8. many thanks for this, by bov or dump valve , we are refering to the the dump just before throttle plate ? Mine has blitz installed. and return bov being the one next to the turbo intake which has a dead end ?

  10. I changed the filter and oil at the same time . one question though , my k&n filter bought is quite smaller than what was installed, I have installed it and no issue but does this look small to you . does oil filter restrict and reduce pressure ?
  11. I am failing to understand the point of it If it is close to intake and the air returns when throttle is closed, the box close to throttle plate releases that air so what is this for ? Even if air goes there it is trapped, right? I am sorry if this sounds stupid but don't get it Curious as to how it works

One point to add is , my coil pack connectors click things that ensure the coil is in tight is place is broken however i check it and all are in all the way Also engine light , anti slip and hicas came on I did move out the plugs and each caused the engine to run worse suggesting they are working

Hi all, Just changed the turbo exhaust manifold gasket and car is much quiter Also changed the plugs which god knows how long they were there with which were bkr5 to bkr6 Car runs fine and did a zero to sixty under 6.4 as that is how i am measuring its power:D But two issues from 4k upward the car seems dead and power band is flat . As far as i know the neo moves from 5 psi to 7 but that isnt working i guess Also sound of turbo is lesss Second issue is misfire You can hear the missess every now and then when car is standing idle or when reving and it revs down you can hear the spits backs What can it be? Plug changed( could it be too cold for my engine?) Coilpack cleaned and used dielectric on it Turbo gasket fixed The fuel canister pipe was leaking a bit of air which i fixed it but no improvement Does the consult software tell you anything ? How would you narrow the misfire? Many thanks

  16. I know and the box doesnt say on the label You have the fuse which i know ,duh You have relays which again is straigh forward but then you have the yellow green pink ones right at the top which have no clue what it is as never have seen such thing in 15 years of working with cars

  18. Cool will have a go The bolt has no o ring so hope it ti does not leak I guess you tighten the bolt as much as you wouod tighten a filter

  20. Any clue as to what those fat and colourful relay looking things are called in pic 6 ?
  21. So does r34 have bov from manufacture ? If so is it the one just before the throttle plate as mine was changed to blitz If above is correct thej why do they have the turbo return pipe close to intake which is blocked off? Can one buy a silicone and remove that 2 pipe ( metal ones?)

Hi all, Have purchased the sandwich plate for my sensors (oil and pressure) P The plate costed 20 and it is unbranded but has oring on the side it is linking to the filter but no oring on the side which makes connection with the engine base So question is , is that ok ? I have seen numbers of them on youtube and seems like you dont need an o ring or sealent on the connection to the base . Also there is no o ring for the bolt holes ,there is 3 holes , 2 of which will be used for temp and pressure gauge and one blanked off. Is that ok again with no o ring etc? Re earth connection i guess any cable to the engine base will do ? Many thanks
