  1. R34 link ecu Hi guys if i buy the link plug and play ecu, do i need t have it mapped or will it work out of the box straight away? omce you install it how do you cable a obd port? thanks
  2. Or thinking more I initially wanted to go all crazy with 500 bhp but soon realised it is too much work to do at this stage due to personal circumstances I work 6 days a week and want to do it all myself But i don't want to wait for a while to get time and also lots of expenses for this So for short and maybe mid term i want to tune it so have much better performance than stock Planning to buy m5 in few month So far i have Boost controller K&n air filter Splitfire coil Okish intercooler . It is rated at 500bhp but looks like one of those chinese ones which is sold by a uk firm . It came installed Coilover Braided lines .. Uprated brake (350mm) with brembo What I want to do is Walbro 255 - £80 Link ecu - £1400 Maybe injectors depending on current injector capacity £400 Existing turbo or direct bolt on ?? I have seen posts people saying you can change the ceramic shaft and others saying some firm make a modified t3 housing I don't ideally want to change manifold and clutch With above setup how much hp is realistic ? I am thinking with around 2-3 k i should be able to get 400 bhp at flywheel Is that too ambitious?
  3. That is true but will not sell skyline will keep it and tune it later . what is standard injectors good up to? the issue is when I am calculating the cost it can easily exceed 8-9k in pounds which I could be putting toward an m5 i have split fire coil and think i can upgrade exu to link and turbo to straight fit ones which should give me 330 to 340 bhp at flywheel i own an intercooler so can upgrade that as well for no cost
  4. makes sense I was just trying to see the order of doing the work so will get clutch done prior to doing any engine work
  5. I am not very familiar with e85 , did look at it while ago but can't remember what it was and seems like too much hassle for daily driving I did some reasearch on twin scroll and it seems to be best of both top end and bottom end and making turbo lag go away. is the impact significant enough to justify the cost? I guess the other question is do all turbos have single and twin scroll ? I am doing some research on price .. I am tempted to get a f10 m5 and put this tuning to bed for a while as want to take my time building it . I will be doing all of the work myself. in the uk 6boost is well known and doesn't seem very cheap at 1.2k £ for the twin scroll http://www.6boost.eu/6boost-rb26-nissan-skyline-r32-r33-r34-gtr-t4-twin-scroll-manifold-1641.html
  6. thanks mate is it the extra force excerted from flywheel which burns the clutch? I am correct assuming if I was driving very easy then theoritically the clutch should still work even on 400 bhp at rear as the force against it has not increased? Drive like a sunday drive
  7. Just starting to read these again and order parts Got distracted with work so starting fresh again Re reading through posts and sau forum , i think gt30 is the turbo i need Can you get any turbo in single or twin scroll? Is that good option with a 80% street use? I want around 400 hp rear wheel or 500 flywheel
  8. Guys I have two questions and appreciate your input Is boost relevant to hp? For instance does all turbo at 10psi make the same hp? If no what is the impacting factor? Size of turbine? Is there a formula to calculate at what boost turbo x will push the same hp as turbo y at given boost? Second question is, if i tune my car to 500 flywheel or 400 rear wheel in hp, does it burn my standRd clutch straight away? Is it because of extra force from flywheel which burns the surface? What i am trying to get to is, is it possible to change the turbo remap and then change clutch
  9. It doesn't scrub on straight line but turns i will try and upload some pics later
  10. I did fit 275/9.5/19 at back and no problem at all at front it is 245/8.5/19 and it is rubbing when turning and it is compressed i need to roll fenders to be fair front also needed a 3mm spacer for caliper clearence
  11. Sure and ofcourse I am not ignoring or insulting anyone. Why would I do that to bunch of nice people here. that is why I have asked for help. I hate the tiny discs as well which is major contributring factor to going big I should have clarified that but also it is the braking performance I am hoping to achive.
  12. my questions is , there is so many people installing 350mm front Brembo EVo and back Evo caliper/350mm disc from 350z how do they acheive brake bias? I guess you could use something like this ? https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p/wilwood-brake-adjuster-knob-type-m-ba-wil?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=ShoppingUK&utm_campaign=ShoppingUK&vat=on&currency=GBP&gclid=CMjR2ankz88CFWkz0wodhpAE_w
  13. bought evo caliper and waiting on brackets. now I want to buy the K sport 6 pot 356 for rear. would the brake ratio change if front is 350 and back is 356? does the size make a difference in brake ratio?
  14. Hi guys, What kit for battery relocation will you buy? I want to ensure it is right amp so not to burn the car down by using some fake rated amp Thanks
  15. yes I am going with walbro 250. I am just curious and want to know what I am buying and why
  16. look at it this way, I am searching and sometime may not see the information so open a thread if you keep pointing me to what might have been discussed three years ago and I can't find it then what is a point of this forum ? you might as well lockall new threads and refer people to what is already on here. I am not asking people to do the research for me, I do it and they ask questions if I have any . so talking sensibly there is nothing wrong with me being curious and asking questions. if that annoys you then feel free to ignore the post. now back to the point, I have seen people quoting they have achieved 500 whp on Walbro 250 and with dual setup 1000 hp. Does anyone know what gurantees that fuel pump will not spark when inside the tank or what saftey mechanisms are built into it to stop this?
  17. how did you know what your pressure was? pressure regulator or in car sensors? also for negative feed to relay and pump, do you take it from battery negative terminal or body of the car ?
  18. thanks, I am just curius and been researching on the net that is all. SO what happens if one dies, car switches off? Would you get a surge tank ? I think it might be overkill for road and occasional track use. I am still not clear if walbro is 500 at flywheel or wheel. regarding the dw300, are they a straight swap? It is slightly higher than 255 but not 450 so should give me a strong pressure I guess. it seems expensive compared to walbro though http://www.turbozentrum.de/luft-und-benzin/einspritzduesen/mazda/deatschwerks-kraftstoffpumpe-dw300-nissan-skyline/a-33315/
  19. man thanks, I was thinking rather than over complicating things and spending too much in a hope that one day I might go above 500 , I stay with walbro 255. The 500 hp quoted, is that at wheel or flywheel? Most surge tanks I have seen have two pumps of 044 . I won't be buying this as it is cheap chinese but would you install a surge tank ? Does it help for street use? If you have two pumps in the surge tank but one in the tank how does that help? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3L-High-Flow-Fuel-Swirl-Surge-Pot-Tank-2PCS-External-044-Dual-Fuel-Pump-BK-/152139356808?hash=item236c365a88:g:BCwAAOSwM4xXaPnt
  20. and potentially blowing engine , I am now tempted to get 250lph as I was going to get 450 so save me from constant changing of pumps is there a fuel cooler or something that I can fit with 450 if I decided to get 450?
  21. Thanks, I means surge tank:) it was late night in the uk I am still researching to find the right item would a heated fuel cause explosion ?
  22. many thanks, I will read the post. so in essence you run a direct feed from battery ? if yes I guess that needs a relay to some ignition or something as else the battery will die in few mins when you switch the car off. also if I go overkill and get a fuel pump that is 450 lph which is rated for 750bhp and all I have is 300bhp, does the pump get hot or knackers the pressure regulator? Would you guys have a catch tank?
  23. Don't know much about flex sensor so does walbro ethonal cones with a sensor which allows you to see the ethonal and temp?
  24. Skyline Fuel Pump Hi Guys, I have been spending sometime looking at the fuel pump and options available for my r34 gtt. It seems that walbro 250Lph is the best choice as it is a straight swap but only good for 500 bhp. I can only imagine that is 500 Bhp at flywheel. I am looking to get 500+ hp on flywheel so that is too close to its maximum. Next level up is 450 litter however confused on what re wiring is needed . Can anyone briefly explain what is needed to install it ? I have also seen people having issues as soon as they have 3/4 of their tank empty because the fuel pump is not fully submerged. Does this impact r34 gtt? thanks
  25. out of interest how do you know it gets hot?
