  1. What kind of timing light do you guys use. Ive only got the old one which adapts to the spark plug lead. Its way to big for a little bit of wire.
  2. Poor blokes with their R33's which is the majority, will have too wait until next year. Man i would be very annoyed!! Merry Xmas
  3. G Techs generally read about 5mph high over the 1/4, so your 13.79 @ 103 sounds about on the cards.
  4. The SAFC can make changes upto +/- 50%
  5. Excelent, cant wait to see the result, you should get some nice power gains up top leaning out the mixtures.
  6. I run the Sumituno HRZ 11 like your saying. With a bit of heat for track work there not bad, (1.94 60's), and i know a quick VX that runs quick with them as well. But now with more power they still spin alot, so i'll be trying a different tyre next time. Im purely going for traction. Maybe i have too much power that ant street tyre will not hold the rear end down, i dont know until i try i guess. But first gear is a joke now!!
  7. Very true, but its worth extra bragging writes at the pub.
  8. So when the standard AFM maxes out, how exactly do you know its doing it. Im getting 100% air flow just after 5000rpm, my missing is at 4500rpm, so this means the AFM is not my problem?
  9. With the SAFC tuned to the stock intercooler, i installed the FMIC and noticed immediate improvements. Then i had to add a little extra fuel thru the SAFC at the next dyno session as it was making more power everywhere
  10. Your right, it was a hub dyno which read higher than DD dynos. But if you also read it made 438rwhp on a DD dyno which is 326rwkw, on stock injectors. Continue the argument now
  11. Definate gains, i picked up between 15/20 rwkw with the Hybrid kit. Certainly one of the best mods i have made.
  12. Well glued them up last night and took the plugs out and gapped them from .66 to .71. Is it still lightning = NO, Does it still miss = Yes. The miss is worse, im putting it down to larger gap in the plug, so somewhere ive got weak spark Anyway, ive ordered a set of Spitlfires
  13. Ignition Timing Control, its similiar to the old AFC's but it does ignition instead of fuel.
  14. I pulled them out again last night and put some more araldite on them around the burnt spots. Im also upping the gaps on the plug from .66. If im still getting a miss or see lightning, im buying new coils. I guess 10 years of heat gradually has its effects.
  15. Just checked mine again tonight. Still get the flickering glow, some left side, some right side, some both. This is annoying!!
  16. Fuel is ok, plugs are fine too
  17. Your right it doesnt alter ignition timing, but still doesnt explain total power loss. Im not meaning a slight surge, i mean no power. I think its the AFM If i reduce the boost by 1psi, it doesnt do it
  18. This is what i get when i turn up the boost. A violent fuel cut off which makes me jolt forward.
  19. Totally retuned and the AFR's are spot on
  20. As far a changing the AFM type in the SAFC, what else do you have to change?? Couldnt be that simple could it?
  21. Yes i think so. I think using the Z32 on the SAFC 2, there a couple of different options for AFM sensor. I can remember flicking thru the options on mine and it made it lump over like it had a big cam in it. Soon i plan to throw a Z32 in it , as the AFM is maxing out now. I will be using the SAFC 2.
  22. I had a look last night in the dark. There were at least 4 coils that where lightning up at idle. To my amazement i can still see no cracks. I can see some burnt marks on the side of the coil however, so ive put a bit of araldite on it for some sealent. I will put them back on tonight too see if its worked.
