  1. IMO the same theory applies to cool down as warm up. Don't thrash/boost the car for the first 5 mins or the last 5 mins. Then you don't have to piss about with a turbo timer and you also don't irritate the neighbourhood.
  2. Hey Rylan, speaking of rust on your skyline, check these out... Rear windscreen These were taken on Friday. And the car doesn't have any visible rust elsewhere (ignoring the sills of course). Perhaps a good idea for all 89 drivers to have it checked. Apparently it is in between surface rust and body rust. Had we not caught it now, within a year it would have started eating through the roof
  3. Of course! *slaps forehead* Cheers Rezz
  4. Afaik the M-Spec come with the leather steering wheel similar to the GTR one. The black car appears to have the standard (like everyone else has been saying, non M-Spec) wheel, similar to the boring Silvia steering wheels. Check out the gearshifts. The black car looks like it is plastic and the silver car has the M-Spec leather shifter. As far as which one is 'better', if you can check out both in the flesh, do so. Cost out how much each car will cost to repair/replace/upgrade parts to what you want and take the cheaper of the two Definitely agree with Pred, the silver car looks pretty tired and all the go-fast bits have been removed or are shagged. I wonder what the GTR bar for GTSt is worth? May be a consideration?

  10. Yeah that's what I thought too. Apparently it is a working gas turbine. I don't have any other details - just arrived in the inbox one day Note the indicators are coloured red and green just like the wingtip lights on aircraft
  11. Here's a Volvo that might run a 10. Yeehah.
  12. TracidTrax between one person citing legislation and a lot of people starting with "I reckon..." I think you're backing the wrong horse by saying browny doesn't know what he is talking about. We all need to keep in mind that the lowest common denominator, as far as police driving skills go, is a lot higher than the same for the general community. Road rules must take all drivers into account - I'd feel very comfortable seeing most people on the road using a mobile, but if my grandmother tried it I'd be very scared. The road rules need to consider everyone's ability and if you take police aside as a separate group their average skill level would generally be much higher. The same guarantees (provided through training competencies) don't exist for the general public.
  13. For R32 TypeM, unsure if it fits GTR. http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k8474429 Here's your diffuser http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k19019281 Another spoiler http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/aucti...tion/c102036975 Over to you mate.
  14. Rylan I'll be in Brisbane when your car arrives. I'm more than happy to drive it down for you Just let me know :uh-huh: Seriously though, that's great news, having a date makes it feel more real!
  15. Hey Ben have you looked at Yahoo JP? There are quite a few splitters/diffusers/the bit that goes under the front and rear of the car. Some plastic, most are carbon. The cheapest option would be fibreglass but we all know that'll crack rather than bend the first time you try a steep driveway. The OEM ones are ~$400 iirc and 2GUP2 (i think that's his nick, has candy red show R32) had a carbon lip made and set him back ~$600. I thought you could buy the lip separately? Check FAST and see if they have separate part no's? Mark
  16. I know this isn't on the list but thought I'd try my chances: Do you have the R34 dump pipes and would consider selling them? PM if you prefer. And more importantly, does replacing an exhaust wheel require a rebuild? Thanks! Mark
  17. You be hard pressed to find a button clutch in an auto
  18. Hi mate, I'm after enough compound to seal 4 gaskets. 100g is around the size of a medium toothpaste tube right? Put me down for one please and let me know the banking details. Thanks! Mark
  19. R33 GTR Cat: $115 If interested, reason for selling is that when the car arrived it had an exhaust that didn't use a cat. I've replaced that exhaust and the replacement came with cat fitted, so this one is longer required. Price is what I paid for it a few months ago. Available for pickup around Newcastle otherwise by post. Mark
  20. Yep, had the boots replaced. The Repco universal ones won't work. The OEM boot (passenger side iirc) has two 'scalloped' cuts to fit around other components. I ended up asking Paul (two.06l) to do it for me as he has the right tools. One of the Repco boots split when putting it on, the other one ended up becoming an inner boot. Moral of the story is use parts from Mr Nissan. Re gaskets etc.: I still don't trust the engine. The paint is peeling off the inlet plenum and the ECU wasn't screwed in correctly. I haven't found any signs of an EBC but I'm big on preventative maintenance before I go asking the engine for more power. I'm planning on doing exactly what you've done JiMiH. Did you DIY? (sorry about the hijack guys)
