  1. A 5-spd, with a sunroof, and a wheel in good condition, and the centre vent is unbroken AND it's black. Good job! The red logo looks groovy. I really like the black GTSt's with the stock rims. My brother-in-law had one a few years back and it always looked nice without going over the top with bling like so many do these days. Thanks for the pics mate!
  2. Could you supercharge the infinity 4.5L V8? nb I have no schmick wrt the Q45's, just looking at pics of them today.
  3. Chris at SSPI went to fit the clutch line but decided against it. From memory (and this is going back six months) the braided hose would need to be bent almost right back on itself just to fit it. He wasn't too happy with that so left the rubber hose on. I can't remember it too well though. You could try Chris again (abFlug) via PM? Sorry about the off topic.
  4. Lucien if you can get that Maltech clutch line to fit without bending the hose at 90', please let me know! Mark
  5. Steve you've just reopened the can of worms Grrrrr. I guess my wallet will do the talking when the motor comes out in a few months.
  6. To the deposit advocates: Guys I still don't understand the point of the deposit. If you haven't created a written contract, then there is really no way to assure yourself you'll see any deposit money again. Will the deposit always be refunded in full? Or are you detailing things like: Chirp wheels $100 rev engine over 6000RPM $150 etc. Is the plan to keep some of the deposit if the potential buyer mistreats the car? If so, you'd better come to an agreement beforehand to avoid disputes later. If the point is just to see if someone can front with a small sum of cash, then there is little point to that imo. Who couldn't come up with $500 to test drive an EvoVI if you knew you would receive all your money back once the drive is completed? Sorry guys, I just don't see the point.
  7. Thanks Ben, thanks Duncan. Duncan it looks like your yellow bandit clears up the "VL pump will not cope with the high-rpm application in an RB25/26".
  8. Ben what did you do in the end? Did you end up checking FAST? Mark
  9. They look like Brembos to me Ali. Your purchase just gets better and better!
  10. Mate take the New England Hwy. The Pacific is packed with roadworks and a lot of single lane stuff that is frustrating. Then add all the little towns along the way where you reduce 100-80-60 for 10 mins then back to 100kmh. The New England Hwy is 110kmh, no stops. It ends a fair way west of Brisbane but the drive is sooooo much easier and far less tiring. I have lived in Tamworth and now in Newcastle, and having to drive the Pacific (last weekend) sucked bigtime. My 2.2c Mark
  11. I was in a mates Spec-R yesterday - I'm 6'0" and found the sunroof *just* low enough to be a pain. It was enough to turn me off one right away. I'd recommend finding one in a dealership and having a test 'sit' to see if it works for you. Other than that, the S15 looked beautiful. Very modern inside, if you can fit inside, you'll love it. Performance is much of a muchness - choose the car you like then modify the engine/susp/whatever until it drives and performs how you like. :werd:
  12. Hi Paul No, I wouldn't be prepared to put down a deposit to test drive a car. That said, I've never done the test pilot/tyrekicker thing - if I go to see a car it is because I want to buy it. I can imagine your frustration mate! Perhaps only show the car at first and ask the 'buyer' to come back another day if they wish to test drive? Mark
  13. Gary could you please elaborate on your post? I have little love for HPI on the whole, and would love to have the story set straight. Without making disparaging comments about import brokers, suffice to say the description of the car was missing quite a few important (and obvious) details. I don't mind sharing, so if you are interested in hearing more, beam over a PM
  14. 400R for sale on Yahoo JP As an aside, there is also an R32 GTR for sale at a similar price, with a claimed 1,488kms only.
  15. When you say driving lights, do you mean the bulbs for the dipped beam or the foglights please?
  16. *** from HPI #51, "RB26 Evolution" Unbeknownst to most is the differences between R32 and R33 GT-R turbochargers. There are differences no so much in the exterior housings, but in the compressor wheels and in turn the dump pipes, which allow a stock-turbo R33 with bolt-on mods to make significantly more power than its R32 equivalent. Both of these versions carry the handicap of ceramin turbine wheels though. Whereas 1.2-1.3bar of boost pressure on the R34 turbochargers is a 'gimme', the wise tuner keeps the boost under 1.1bar on the early models and leaves it at that. *** It seems that no-one actually knows specifics... but I hope this helps a little
  17. Ferni I'll see your 65 and raise you 5L.
  18. Deren I'd say that just replacing the R32 turbo would be the way to go. Save some cash for when you replace them anyway. The R33 turbos in here are generally advertised at $350neg per turbo. You could most certainly buy an R32 turbo for less than $400. There are plenty of guys out there in your shoes that have a turbo kark it and decide to replace both - hence the ads for 1xR32 turbo, 1x R32 paperweight, and just want a few hundred dollars to get it out of their garage. I recently read an old HPI article that compared the GTR turbos across the range. Basically the R33 turbos aren't really an upgrade in the true sense of the term. IMO save your cash (like me! ) Cheers Mark btw Did you buy your car through Prestige? It looks like this one, which I very nearly bought. Ended up buying #2310
  19. The bracket and the hook are not actually connected (imo). The hook is for towing the car from a racetrack and the bracket is for mounting the licence plate off to the side. The Apexi kit looks like an RSM, the PFC controller is in front of the clock and the Carrozzeria amp is the same as Pioneer. It looks kinda funny having a roll-cage and an amp in the car - identity crisis! Also looks like an aftermarket radiator. And I agree with Mick, that colour looks brilliant! Mark
  20. Thanks for the quick reply, and the R33 reminder! Cheers
  21. Hey Ben Mate do you still have those part numbers please? Mark
  22. Universal seals from Novus is the cheapest way to go. It still seals just the same as rubber from Mr Nissan but without the pricetag. Have a talk with a painter in your area - there are a few anti-corrosive paints out there that will stop (or at least delay) the spread of surface rust. If you are able to sand it out, then switch off the comp Baze and get out into your garage
  23. Don't think so. The GTR front is wider. The front on your GTSt will have been manufactured just for GTSt's. It's due to the guards being wider on a GTR. Might be able to juryrig one (ie cut/paste) but it'd prob look dodgy.
