  1. Yeah shes a big one hahah! It was making 910whp on a 2.8 GTR. Should get pretty close to my goal I think Since the turbos black already I'm going to f**k the polished intake off and go black as well. Should come up nice ?
  2. Sooo this happened tonight.... Excuse my ugly mug. Its a Precision 7675 BB with a 1.12 rear housing. Should suit the 3.4 nicely me thinks
  3. Got my sump back today and dropped 26 covers off to get a freshen up should look mint once its all in!
  4. Rod bolts and bearings ordered yesterday, engine builder is really busy atm and said should be all done by end of next week Also dropped my sump down to be painted black which should be ready in a couple of days. I pulled my fuel pump out of the tank then decided to get a surge tank instead of modifying the stock hat. Ordered an AI SP1200. Will make it a lot easier if i have to put a 3rd pump in if we need more fuel. I'll be running hardline in boot and remove the factory lines to run twin 1/2" hardlines to engine bay then split the feed to twin -6 to feed the rail. Using these billet clamps to fix it to the body should look nice and semi stock. Wiring is coming along pretty good! Finished sleeving the lot then forgot to bring the wires down for the crank trigger so ill have to pull it apart and do that then thats its for the loom! I hope... i didnt like the look of just heatshrink for finished product so got sum sleeving and came up 10x better! Looks a lot nicer now.
  5. So been working on the wiring harness the last few weeks. Im pretty happy with how it turned out for what it is. I think id rather do a brand new loom then resleeve a stock one again ? In the go fast department motor is almost due back! Head will be finished this week coming and block should be the week after. Got bored and honed for new pistons last week and balanced rotating assembly this week. Waiting on spool to get more L19 rod bolts back in stock so we can get rod bearing clearances set.
  6. Progress is happening slowly. Got almost everything back in the bay now. Decided I'm going to delete the fuse box and make it look nice somehow. Also put in a new universal washerbottle instead of the hideously massive stock item. Heres the car as she sits. Pulled the loom apart to add/remove anything we wont be using, going to give it a makeover with some nice sleeving and reroute wiring into the guards to keep it looking clean! Few more wires and stuff to add for additional sensors and thing then start depinning and sleeving it all! Should be a fun time.... not! RIPSNZ sump is on the way, should be here this week/early next week! Thing looks nice ? Can't wait to bolt it all up! Last but not least new pistons! Couple bores were a bit out of wack so stepping it up to a 86.5 9:1CR. Should bump it up nicely from the 8.5:1 pistons that were in it. Dropped them off at machinist tonight, rotating assemblys off to balancer this week and the blocks going for a bore and acid dip to clean it up nicely ? Should only be a couple weeks away now!
  7. Car came back today! Super happy with how it turned out! Makes me wanna respray the whole thing ? Got a few things back in today, auto brake pedal, booster and throttle cable all done so rest of it is engine bay work now. Tomorrow I'll plumb the A/C, bring wiring harness back through the guard and put the headlights back in.
  8. Cars almost done at painters just baking atm. Comes home tomorrow ? 6boost is finished as well so should get it soon. Also ordered a RIPS NZ sump which will be here in the next couple weeks ?
  9. Machinist sent me a snap of the block today. Action pic getting the mains ready for girdle ?
  10. So she went off to the painter on Wednesday. Should be ready mid next week ? start putting all the stuff back into the bay and get the loom all cleaned up ready to go. Ordered plazmaman 100mm intercooler, 72mm throttlebody and flange to weld onto the greddy intake and a few 3" plazmaclamps. Hopefully be here in the next few weeks and start mounting it up.
  11. Got the bay done yesterday after work! Not a fun job pulling the loom out with everything still attached... Car's almost ready to go to painter now. I want to weld up the stock intercooler holes so we have no drama drilling new one later. Ideally I'd like to get motor in with manifolds and turbo on and mock up piping and cut holes etc and then get it painted. Will see what happens though. Need to degrease the bay and give it a good clean with the gurney. My powersteering has been leaking for a while so its covered in oil..
  12. So finally got some spare time this arvo and went and picked up my nitto stuff and bottom end to take to my machinist Hopefully a month and I'll have it back and if all goes to plan the rest of the parts will be ready to go as well! Super keen now it's moving along properly
  13. Little by little! Loom is out of the front as is everything else except thr aircon. Almost have all the little clips pulled out except for a few that are under the inner guards that I cant get to. Might jack her up this arvy and pull the brake lines and rest of clips maybe even pull the loom back into the cabin.
  14. So my old setup got picked up on the weekend I miss driving it already... On the other hand nitto gear arrived, flat out at work atm so gotta find some time to go grab it all and take it to the machinist. Been doing little bits and pieces in the bay after work everyday, slowly getting there. Just need to pull the fuse block out of the fuse box and pull the rest of the loom out, pull brake booster when I can get in on the drivers side, pull aircon and headlights and then just feed everything back into the cab and take her down for paint Probably get bay and underbonnet done to make it look schmick ?
  15. Engine bay is looking slightly emptier than normal. Exhaust, intercooler, box, radiator etc are all out. Motor just needs to be craned out now to go to new owner. Goodies arrived this week ? Spool girdle, head drain and upgraded 0.250" pins. Also my Yella Terra Billet explosion proof flexplate turned up too! Nice bit of gear. Cant wait to get it behind the new motor Ordered most of the hot side bar the turbo which I'll be ordering next week. Will be running a 6Boost T4 twin scroll manifold with twin Turbosmart compgate 40's. Coming with the turbosmart stuff is also an FPR2000 and a 4port boost solenoid. Also found a new sump, pickup and dipstick for new motor because it didnt come with one as it was dry sumped. I'll get that next week and send it off to ASR Oilpans to be made into one of their drag comp sumps. Hoping to get engine bay stripped and ready for paint but looks like I'll be going away for work for a couple of weeks which will delay any progress
  16. Spool gear arrived today, still waiting on nitto parts before I can send off to machinist. Ordered a Yella Terra Billet flexplate today which should be up here in a couple days. Will also be ordering my manifold and turbosmart fpr2000 and twin compgate 40s ? Also sold my setup on the weekend so time to take the old girl out for its new owner. Hopefully its not a prick to do. Ill pull the box out tomorrow and then just radiator. Unbolt all the ancillaries and should just pop out ?
  17. I ordered 15x8 6.5 bs welds for the back. Will fit 255/60r15 or MAYBE a 275/50r15. Should be here soon hopefully
  18. Been away for work the past 3 weeks but managed to pop back home for a breaky and laps 2 weekends ago. Had a good day out there. Quick vid I slapped together on my phone, sorry for potato quality... Have ordered bottom end goodies for the bottom end so should be off to the machinist sometime next week. Ordered Nitto oil pump, Nitto headgasket, spool girdle plate, 0.250" gudgeon pins and also got a head drain for it as well. Machinist is busy atm so 3-4 week wait on it so hopefully have it back mid-late next month. Fingers crossed all in and running in July

  20. Finally she's done it ? Car felt awesome absolutely hooked off the line! First run ran a 10.983, second was a 10.91 then third was the PB. Called it a night as it was busy and achieved what I wanted. Now onto bigger and better things
  21. Decided to pull the block down for inspection, gonna give it a freshen up while its apart. Probably acid bath the block, hone, new rings, new bearings and give the block a lick of paint. Custom oil rings on the pistons, might look at upgrading the gudgeon pins as well while it's all apart.
  22. Had to day off today so decided to start stripping the 3.4 down. All looks pretty good. Sleeves have fire rings in them so should have a sweet seal with the HG. Also greddy plenum looks to have been port matched and cleaned up inside which is pretty cool 8) Nitto HG and pump should be ordered next week and throw it all back together. Fingers crossed this saturday will be the day and can finally start moving onto the next chapter 8)
