  1. i've got the SSQV on my car, which is ok, but the whistling starts to get to ya after awhile.... grandmaster - sorry mate, i dunno what brand it is, if i did it'd make things a whole lot easier......my mate reckons it could be the SARD R2D2 - can anyone try and describe what sort of noise that makes?

  3. does anyone know of a site that has the different types of BOVs and the noises they make? I'm after a specific noise but i have no idea where to look - everyone thinks i'm nuts when i try to make the same sound.... it sounds like plumbak on an s15 - but i seen it on a 32 and its not plumbak. any help appreciated.....
  4. First up, i respect you for putting this post up even though your going to get alot of youngins dissin you for your ride. I used to own a holden myself and still love them - the new ones especially. They do get dissed alot on these forums b/c there are alot of holden owners out there who drive very irresponsibly and just look like plain d*ckheads when they drive. I recently had a bit of a run with a VZ clubbie on warrigal rd turning onto the M1 outbound. He beat me on the launch but as the corner came up i caught him and passed him on the outside. I only got a front mount, full exhaust, BB clutch running a VG30 turbo running stock boost. I'm guessing in a str8 line drag he would've wopped me but when it comes to corners, sorry, the HSV's got no chance. The HSV's are damn quick on the straights, but about 190rwkw or thereabouts in any skyline should give them a good run for their money. Can't wait to get my car back (RB25 conversion) - i'm goin out V8 huntin! hehe, healthy competition.....
  5. melb to 12 apostles - takes about ~2 hours to get to lorne, where the GOR starts, then you'd be looking at another 3-4 hours to get to Port Cambell which is just after the 12 apostles, depending on how many stops you make on the way. I'd advise staying the night at Apollo bay which is sorta in the middle - beautiful beach surrounded by mountains and they got a pub too. Then wake up and have lunch at Lorne. There's quite a few shops in Lorne so you could spend half day there before heading back to Melbourne. I was down there recently with the missus - can't really put time on anything cos there's so much to see. Have fun mate

    ok, not all opinions are biased, my bad. But you see what i mean, there's alot of people out there who will generally flame/praise a workshop from what they hear from other people without having taken their cars there themselves. Alot of stuff is hearsay, which gets exaggerated and made 10 times worse, or 10 times better.
  11. hey, just a question with the speedo - i've been told the rb25 box runs off an electronic source for the speedo, and replacing it with a late model r32 dash or GTR dash will fix the problem, can anyone confirm or clear this up for me?

    Hey, since i've had my car - 12 months - the car has had all its work done at chasers since day one. Benny, Brad and Scott have always been open to lending me a helping hand no matter how great or small the problem. The car is currently there undergoing an RB25 conversion, which has been dealt with very swiftly and much quicker than i expected. I haven't had a tune there though, so i guess i can't comment to your original post. Everyone has their own opinion about their own workshops, so it impossible to get an unbiased opinion. Every workshop has the potential to produce excellent results, but every workshop also slips up once in a while and gets flamed forever. Don't take any of our words for it, go out yourself and speak to the various workshops then make up your mind.
  13. hey mate, i'm currently undergoing the same type of conversion - car will be finished sometime next week, hopefully bout tuesday or so First, secure yourself a good, decent half cut that's complete with ecu, wiring loom etc. Next, you might want to cange the timing belt and water pump. The tailshaft and yoke need to be modified to fit into the 32, as well as the gearbox mount. Thermofan might have to be used as i don't think there's enough room for normal fan. DO a search and you'll find more detailed info on it. This is just a quick run down. If i've missed anythin let me know good luck

  15. 1989 VN Calais - i know its a holden but i miss it. So much green smoked in the back of that thing...... 1991 Mazda 323 Sedan - why did i?> 1993 R32 GTS-t - RB25 conversion finished next week! Everyone here bags the holdens so much, but i still love them. 4 mates in the car, windows down, pumpin hip-hop & cruisin. Damn i miss that thing

  23. dude i'm pretty impressed that you managed to keep that clutch going for 2 yrs with 225rwkw being your first manual.....it couldn't have been a stock clutch could it? I've got an excedy 5-puk brass button clutch - bit of a bitch to drive thru heavy traffic, but its very nice for drifting, bites quite hard.
