  1. very tough car... not in the market for one till march next year tho free bump
  2. i know this has probably been covered however i thought i would ask anyway. Just wondering what the law states re the installation of BOV's. I have been hearing a lot of talk re valves that vent into the atmosphere are illegal. I just had the relevant documents faxed to me and they dont say anything about it. The documents say that you can fit them, as long as they arent to loud, making specific refference to 'whistles'. There is no mention in the docs that they sent me of how loud they are allowed to be.. something like 91db ive heard?? So i just asked the guy straight out if they were legal, and he said no. So im guessing i have to remove my BOV now, which is a litte bit annoying only for the fact that i only had it fitted 2 weeks ago, and they didnt mention till after they had fitted it that it wasnt exaclty legal Can someone clear it up for me? The Information I was sent makes it seem as tho its possible to fit one as long as its not too loud? Thanks

  7. glad to hear your ok... im new to brisbane so for me this is a little supprising to hear. This type of thing happened to me once in sydney, i know how much its sucks to be trying to outrun someone whos main objective is to get you off the road.. freaky sh*t. thanks for the heads up man.
  8. i agree with slip i think you took the best course of action at the time.... good thing it was foam!
  9. a month before i moved from sydney i had a guy pass me on the eastern distributor on a bike. Thing about it was that i was in the far right lane and he passed me on my right (i.e. off the road) doing about double my speed. he was on a cbr 1100, and racing a guy on a 1100 ninja that passed me on the left. He clipped my mirror, smashed itno my front right panel, nearly put the F*cker down in front of me while i was doing 80-90km/ph. He managed to get it back under him, only to speed off before i could catch him to get his plates.... (i was a little more focused on not running him over while he struggled with the bike after hitting me to get the plate to start with). That's my one and only experience with bikes on the road. That specific guy was mad, but generally i think most riders respect their lives more than that guy did. doesnt help pay for the cost of repairing the front panel of my car tho...
  10. nah not normally...might be in a couple of weeks tho

  14. shadow alarms are supposed to be excellent. there are about 450 installed (sydney price) 3 point imobilization and all the sensors, boot, bonnet, sonic, wheels, auto arming... can be linked to a turbo timer etc.. hope this helps cheers hayden
  15. Also picked mine up on saturday... they look sweet... cheers mate.
  16. took my car for a service yesterday, all was sweet appart from the little matter of my battery going flat if the car is not driven for 24 hours or so.... they (evan cox automotive technology) investigated it and found that it was the power windows circuit. When that fuse is removed the power drain stops! Although he is a nissan specialist (and drives a neat 32 GTR) he didnt know why that might be happening. He suspects that there is something else on the circuit. Has this happened to anyone else. they pulled the door trims off and checked the motors and stuff for the windows but they only work with the ignition on so *shrugs* any ideas ppl? cheers Hayden
