Bad timing for me, jamboree this weekend

I had a similar thing happen in my 33 gtr with the hicas, i removed mine now and have a lock bar in place now. but it was like a split second twitch in the rear end like the rear end steps out then corrects itself? I have not found a reason for this either, but maybe something internally inside the hicas unit itself, like missing or skipping inside, giving it a dodgey reading.

Was a great weekend. ive seen most of the cars from last year, but a few new ones come out to play. and some have improved and are better set up also. the norm beechey monaro is just insane, thunder. got lots of footage and pics too.

Mate there are other people on the coast who know cars. you just have to know them. i knew marty also, he was good at what he does. but saying that, garage redzone is as good also, and am auto are too if you really want to go all the way to noosa. if you can do stuff yourself thats fine. but the reason people are looking for a mechanic is that fact they dont have the skills or the tools to do it, also a time thing where a mechanic can do it in a day or so might take some people 3 weeks, and some cant afford to have there cars off the road for that long. So all you have to do is talk to these people and check out there work. im sure you will find them more then helpful in these areas.

Im in the same boat as you i have a HKS Preist S/S Cat back exhuast, and am looking for something with a bit more noise to it, its an awesome exhuast and quality made, just need more flow for when i get the car tuned. just over 12 months ago my mate was pulled up whilst at a dyno comp by on the coast by brissy police, in his neat series 8 rx7 RZ edition, now these special edition ones come with 17" BBS alloys and fixed back red recaro carbon fibre buckets standard. he had on a FRP bonnet which is fair enough to defect for. But the cop proceeded to fine him for the seats, although these seats are standard factory items, and the car is a 2 seater edition anyway. I was trying to explain this to the cop, but he was arrogant, and threatened to arrest me if i didnt go away. so i did, fuming at his attitude towards the situation, as he didnt care he was writing tickets to meet his quota anyway, being basically factory standard with teins and full exhaust. this STTF guy was a joke. But what gets me is they can write a tickets willy nilly and you dont get a chance to prove them wrong. and they dont get any recourse for your wasted time and effort going thru the bullcrap to prove them wrong, so they dont care. its a joke.

Wow! good turn out, some nice rides there. Great job chris well done. cant wait till i can bring mine on one soon. was gonna come in the pulsar but busted my ankle, and i would have just held everyone up anyway lol

cheers for the reply. so would you agree with coilovers or rather go with suspesnion and spring set up rather then coilovers? i am looking at all options, but i am also interested in bang for buck per say. as you could easily spend 4-5K on your suspension set up if you wanted to, just to go to the track a couple of times a year though i dont think that is feasable. as it will be mainly a streeter, i need suspensions i can use weekly im just worried about too harsher spring rates etc that some of these set ups have. Just trying to find out the right combo for R33 GTR set up. Thanks for the heads up, i have read some of the stuff syd kid has written. still want to know more about these HSD's and people experiences with them.

Hey guys, Just wanting to know if anybody has had HSD HR coilovers fitted to there R33 gtr or any gtr for that matter? What are they like as a coilover, im just after feed back on them and also spring rates, the standard ones come with 10F 8R but you can opt for 2KG either up or down front and rear from this. Does anybody know what would be the best spring rate for an R33 GTR on these coilovers?? My main aim will be street driven with occassional track and drag meets. Cheers Daz
