I actually thought about this a bit more. The value of 'custom' plates now has decreased significantly. in the past you had to be really creative; eg: "CAYMAN" becomes "C4MAN", "CAYM4N", "C4YM4N" The original loses value, and the subsequent ones will never fetch the money the original would - if I wanted CAYMAN i'd not want "C4YMAN" for $1K when the original would be 3K Also, with so many possible combinations going, say you wanted $5K for a plate like R32GTR, someone will settle for a combination that is similar like "R326TR" for $500. Further, no point getting stuff like "LS1SS" as the potential asking price is too high a percentage of the vehicle price, as opposed to "GT3RS", which $5K is a small percentage of the purchase price But ELV1S will score some big bucks though
