dude i thought like that as well till sum lady hit me and i only had third party..... you may be careful with your car, doesnt always mean other people on the road will be careful... you gotta think of all that as well. as for the question, im 18 and on my P's, im with just car, i payed $647 for third party and i have the same car, ( mines got minor mods, pod filter n exhaust... nuttin major ), and if i wanted comprehensive which i am getting now due to last week, it'll cost me $3,500 straight up. just car will insure younger people with skylines, coz it didnt take me anything to get them to insure me... i rang up like 4 places previous to them and they pretty much laughed at me e.g me: umm i wanna get insurance for my 94 skyline gts-t?, racv insurance dude: hahahahahahahahaha, only if you pay us like 8 gran.... me: pffft yeah right. personally i reckon just car is good if your young and wanna insure a car like what we drive, only downside.... theres no monthly payments, its pay straight up or nothin.

i need the whole door, like window and electrics in it already so i can just bolt it on, unless thats what u mean by door shell??? and yeah maroon is the color i mean, i just call it red lol. im pretty sure mines a series 1, how do you tell the diff. between series 1 & 2?? i know the grills different, mines got the grill thats like 3 slats.... if u know what i mean? i have pics of it before the lady hit me, but there on my phone and i cant send em to my email atm coz of telstra so yeah. not sure if thats any help?

ok, seems to me, this thread has turned into who has what, and who doesnt have what.... ( i've been following it since the first post so i know what has been said and wateva ) kryzsiu is right dude... you do know nothing about his financial situation, and from what that kid has posted up, ( that is to say he isnt bullshitting ) then we have a good enough idea of his financial situation.... if his parents are buying him a 60gran car for his first car, and his mum n dad are in real estate and law.... thats enough said as 2 his financial situation. my parents own various investment properties and a garden decore business, so they have a fair enough income, but they didnt buy me my first car.... i worked shitty low paying jobs to get my car, only until recently when i got a job at the local abs and im makin 550 a week.... thats enough 2 pay off my car in a short time, and have the damages done to it fixed, and if i stay there long enough, go 2wards buying my own investment properties. the point being, ok so ur a lil rich kid and ur parents are buying you a car, good for you, why brag, when obviously if you read 75% of the comments on here, 1. no1 cares, and 2. sum people will get jealous coz theyve had to work for what they have, they wrnt jst handed it, thats human nature.... it was gonna end up like this from the first post made.

hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows some places around the campbellfield side of melb. where i can get cheap parts for my 33 gts-t. atm i need prices on a passenger door, passenger seat, and mb a rear quarter panel ( not sure about that one yet coz the panel beater guy i spoke 2 reckons i might get away without replacing it ) i also need jst the standard sideskirt, how much do you reckon i'd needa spend to get those parts so i can have someone start the panel beating work on my car, coz i really want it back on the road lol. preferrably the cheapest option as well, coz i needa pay for other stuff as well. thanks .

i third that... i had to sacrifice money for the two years prior to getting my R33, ( even now im working 2 jobs to pay off a small loan i hada take out for my car )even then i had just saved enough to buy it, my mummy n daddy didnt buy me a car, they wanted me to learn for myself the sacrifies and related things you have to go through to be able to afford what you want, whats next, when your 21 and ready to move outa home, are your mummy n daddy gonna buy you a house on the beach as well??? i try to steer away from posting negative posts.... but when kids... i'll call you a kid coz im 18 so technically im a young adult, post up threads like this... in my mind purely to brag, coz like someone previously mentioned, if you want advice on a vw, go to a vw forum....or better yet, do some research on the net, it takes 5 seconds to pull up like 10,000 results on google, coz to people like me who have had to work hard for the car they have ( just like nearly everyone else on here ) little rich kids like you, who have mummy n daddy go buy them a car like that, really piss me off. and thats my done

i think that ^^ is proly a good statement ( or argument as it seems thats what this is ), and also should be a good way to jst end the whole hsv vs skyline thing, every man to himself when it comes to the types of cars you like or wateva, i personally like both nissans and holdens, and dont feel the need to give holden owners shit every time one drives past... coz there is no point, if they wanna give me shit about my "rice" machine etc. etc. then so be it, no point in startin fights with people over a car...... after all, apprently we live in a civilised world.

nah i havnt had work done 2 it, far as i know its a stocker.... i wasnt really comparing manual 2 auto with equal drivers in that comment, i said... that manuals can be quicker only if the driver knows how 2 shift right.... hence my flogging of the manual 33 in my auto one... if the dude knew how 2 shift right, i'd say it woulda been the other way round. :uh-huh:

my 33 gts-t used to sit on about 3000-4000 rpm when crusin at like 110-130 ( its n auto by the way as mentioned up there ^^^) as for the debate that even sparked this thread... im in agreeance with dayne.. the commys aren't bad if you have actually driven them... we own 2 of them, and my car, one of them is irrelevant coz its a vt exec wagon, the other it a vy ss ute, ive drievn that ute before ( not sure im meant to coz of the power to weight thing but meh ) and it goes alright, like dayne said... i love my jap cars as well, but i like the commys to, i'd rather be drivin a holden or a nissan than any other crappy car thats out there . that is all.

lol i got dodgy roads here as well mate, 2 get home i have to drive down like 2kms of dirt road... * shudder *, and the way the streets are designed is stupid... i hate the kfc drive through the most, i could come out sideways and still hurt the front bar lol. but thats how it is, i aint jackin my car up lol, it'll look shockin.

got nothin against holdens, in fact i like em * waits for the wrath ... lol * but ford drivers do shit me, and i find drivin round in my 33 its mainly d***head ford drivers that always wanna challenge me or shout abuse .... im sure you all know the types of crap said.... reading that crap at the start though, i seriously couldnt be bothered, i got to the " yeah sick bro " n that crap and gave up lol. i got the jist of it but.... typical ignorant bogans. 'nuff said.

nice mate, im a newbie as well lol only had mine for 3 weeks so i got no idea bout ur problems soz. from the photos urs looks about as low as mine is on the front end, personally i like em low, they look better, but it has to be a practical car as well, most suspension places should be able to tell you about all that. good work

speakin of panel damage n such, sum lady hit my 33 gts-t when i was turnin the other night, so i need parts for it, obviously easy to find as 33's are all to common in melb. my question is, if i went 2 that place ( performance jap specialists ), what price you reckon i'd be able to score a new passenger door, new passenger seat, and mb a rear passenger panel ( not sure yet, that might jst need sum panel beating )??? also can you recommend some good panel beaters in that sort of area ( campbellfield etc ) coz i live about.. 90kms from melb but the panel beaters round here aren't to used of working on imports and i dont want a dodgy job done. thanks in advance

i'd agree with that, i mean 400kms from a full tank sounds like alot when you say it.... but its not really when you compare it to some other cars, but i still think its pretty good for a 6 turbo, thats jst my opinion anyways. as for the fuel question, i always use ultimate ( 91 octane is what it says in the manual, which is what i use most of the time, but i use 98 when i have enough dosh, makes my car go zoom zoom zoom hehehe ) or sometimes when i cant find a bp i use vortex. i dunno bout u guys, but ive been advised to stay away from optimax for the skylines, coz of this ( keep in mind this is only what ive been told, ive never actually tryed so i dont know for sure )... 1. it emits a bad smell from the exhaust and 2. it makes the car jumpy and can be bad for your engine. :uh-huh:
