  1. Wohoo...my car is fully fixed.......it was like having sex for the first time......have not driven it for 3 months!! But I am $3.5K lighter for the experinence.... Trying to think of a good route to go on Was time we did Mt Mee from south to north. Was thinking about north to south this time......from memory it was a "very good" road coming up that way What about Start at BP Coomera for Gold Coasters to meet, head north over gateway, normal pick up at Nudgee Shell, head north gateway to Caboolture, west over Mt Mee back out to gateway over bridge and finish at Wynumm foreshore for lunch??? Sounds like a plan with minimal traffic lights etc. Idea's or comments?
  2. Cv boot easy. I am looking at $3.5K bill for a new clutch, gearbox repair and get the tailshaft rebuilt..... should have car back this Friday Still working on a route and date...........Lets pencil in the Sunday 24th June
  3. How did you go with traction with the 19's? I run the same tyre with less power approx 270awkw and had wheel spin all thru 1st gear....rs4s car was to low as well, too much neg camber as well
  4. Type A or Disk A refers to the caliper clearance. I do not think it is a industry standard, but most Jap brand wheels quote it Rule of thumb is A suit big calipers like Brembo, B type will suit GTST calipers and Type C will normally only work on the rear with small calipers It also depends on the shape of the spoke. I run 19x9.5 + 12 in a type B front and rear and have r34 GTT calipers. My rims only have 1-2mm clearance to calipers. I would not fit brembo's If they were type A there would be approx 10mm clearance to the calipers. The Type A will also effect the amount of dish/outer rim you see. Type B will have more dish/outer rim The main thing to remember is, rim width and offset are not the only thing to consider. Make sure to consider the caliper clearance as well esp on a 260RS What wheels are you considering buying? Also find yourself on online wheel calculator That way you can put in either your stock wheel sizes or mine and compare to the ones you want to buy The calculator will tell you the increase or decrease of both the inner and outer dimension changes try this one http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
  5. I run 19x9.5 +12 with 245/35/19 Go at least 9 inch wide, not 8.5 No rear guard rolling needed. It is tight with 5mm clearance to rear guard and 10mm to rear shocks with 245's Make sure rims are "A" type at front to clear brembo's.
  6. Hmmmm.....I have taken my car to the drags twice........and have broken the clutch twice Not a good ratio. This is why my car car has been off the road for 3 months
  7. It has been a looong time since I organised a Qld Stagea meet and cruise. My car has been off the road for 3 months, but it will soon be fixed. Best to give this approx 6-8 weeks to build interstest and let people organise thier lives to free up a day. Most likely on a Sunday I might check out Qld raceway to see when the next drift meet is on, maybe we can end up out there via some hills (plus I need to check it out for some business research) Register your intersest and in the next week I will get a date, route and venue sorted
  8. Ray I disagree Are you quoting a auto or manual stagea 9 inch +20 all round? If you look at Kiwirs4t photo he has 17x9 +30 on an "auto" and the rears are already hanging out the guards If you go +20 or +15 you will be hanging out even more. LMGT4 may or not fit..........it depends what caliper clearance they are......like Disk "A" or "B" or "C" etc.
  9. Try TBS at Capalaba on Brisbane southside Tweed Brake Service. All they do is brake machining, reliners and reco cylinders Ask for Rod...the owner...very helpful with over 30 years experience and employ approx 20+ machinists They have blank hats in stock along with disks blanks upto 356mm and blank dogbones as well From memory they make machine custom hats to your specs and add their disk as well for approx $300-350 each...cheap.....DBA equiv is approx $650 each I think the dogbones are approx $150 pair on a side note they wil do drive in drive out custom made front brakes, either 4 6 or 8 pot caliper (south african made) up to the 356mm disk fitted with lines etc for $2600 They measure up your wheel clearance etc and make the hats to suit
  10. Interesting times compared to power I ran exactly the same times, 13.01 and 13.02 at 106/107mph Only 348 rwhp rb25 manual AWD. It did wheel spin all he way thru 1st gear thou
  11. Wrong pistons?? Measure pin heights etc and compare to catoglue data. ignore what the box says. R33 and R34 blocks are the same height/stroke Rods are the same length in R33 rb25 and R34 rb25 and rb26 The difference is the CC of the heads, R33 are about 62 and Neo is 51-52CC's Hence the difference in piston crowns (and maybe pin height)
  12. All feedback is good No complaints Very hard to pick any fault with the quality from this supplier
  13. No Cuga or reds this time, can order Pm me Have got form this Friday GIAS II in Graduation or Black with red stitching Stradia II in Graduation or Black with red stitching Vios III in Graduation or plain black Zeta in Graduation Maxuis in Graduation
  14. I run 19x9.5 +12 with 245's The rear clear bilstein struts by 7-9mm and no guard rolling at all with a low ride height of 320mm (too low and chews tyres every 6-8000 km) You should be right with 9.5 +15....pretty common on R4s....if tyres hit struts, just use a 3mm spacer to get to +12
  15. I think the price is more than fair.....just need to find someone that realises the car is good value and does not compare it to the cheaper ones with the only mod an exhaust and pod FFS. I will be putting mine up for sale soon in 2-3 months time probably........I will be starting at $25K....see what happens If I can not anything over $20K for it, I will strip it and sell it in bits. You can get higher than market values with the right buyer My previous cars... '73 celica...market value $3-4K.....I sold it for $12K in 1994 '87 Aw11 MR2....market $6-8K....sold for $13.5K....in 2002 '86 S4 RX7....market was $12-17K......sold it for $24.5K....in 1995

  17. Watch your freight cost from Sydney to anywhere in OZ You can only send a max length of 105cm thru austpost, so that will probaly rule out wings, wind delfectors and maybe radiator panels etc. You will be stuck using couriers at much high freight costs. Just tring to help you out
  18. I am not sure what has gone wrong with my car. There is no strange noises from the gearbox. I have had a look underneatth and the clutch is working Ok and you can see the lever operating the pressure plate. If you have engine off, push it into gear and try to start it with clutch in, it tries to drive. So the clutch is not disengaging. If it was imput shaft, I thought there would be some bad noises to be heard. They do break with similar power and above To get a GTR or AWD Stagea to launch without bogging down off the line, you HAVE to be doing 5000rpm plus. Until the box comes out, I will not know for sure. Will be a 3-6 weeks before it goes into the shop.
  19. I had a stock R33 GTR clutch rebuilt by Jim Berry (Race Clutch) to suit 300RWKW and it died after taking it to the drags with approx 8-9 hard launches with 240rwkw. Pressure plate was approx 3000lb, organic plate It did slip at drags and no tyre spin Had the clutch rebuilt again to 4200LB with Carbonic sprung puck plate. No slips at all at drags with 260rwkw Went well all day and dropped 1/2 sec, but had major first gear wheel spin. Used it for the last 4 months. Was meant to be good for 400RWKW. Last week, dumped it, 1st and 2nd..........now it won't change gear at all now. Clutch related problem and yet to pull gearbox out and find out what went wrong..... Cost of each rebuild is approx $850. Need to find a better solution...
  20. C34 series 2 manual 348 rwhp (256KW) 1/4 mile 13.01 at 107 mph 13.02 at 106 mph
