thats what i thought I just find it hard to believe that he joined the forum 2 days ago to post his car, which looks like a mad arse GTR. Most people with a beast like that have been on the forums for years :chairshot :werd: Another one http://www.toprpm.com/eng/features/feature_10.htm AND another, but R33 GTR with a 6sp box http://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply.asp?To...D=553&ForumID=1 WTF MATE Jeep http://www.uaeknight.com/gallery/details.p...ab62128816b9113

I agree with you phil, after all, we are a SKYLINE club, not a GTR or GTST club BTW, The pants sound pretty fashionable.

Dont think it covered the R34 GTR Nismo Z-Tune. I was luck in a way with p's as i got them 2 weeks b4 the 3 year crap came in. Does this list mean they can't drive it, or own it? Both i guess

Advice Needed - Received a Ticket for Exhaust
GTR_Legend replied to HKS34R's topic in New South Wales
I think you should be fine taking it to court. We have been talking about this on another post. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...496#post1328496 -
Yeah, thats what they do. But if you asked the cops something out of the ADR book, you would either get "Have a nice day", "Everything is illegal", "How does she go" or "Don't know, buy me a doughnut". Cops do not know all the standards and some don't care. Insurance companies will cover you if you hav a BOV & notify them, but because it is ilegal to have an atmos bov, they shouldn't cover you. I don't see the insurance company asking for engineers certs or if it is a atmos or plumback BOV. "Sorry sir, becuase you have an atmos bov, we can't cover you" I thought our IT infrastructure was bad. All this mod shi! is just a big mess. :headshot:

I think there is really no formal standards or regulations that are communicated to/from the RTA, Police & Insurance companies and also the manufactures of after market parts. When i got picked on by a cop the other night he did not say anything about my FMIC but picked on everything else. But like i said any non-standard mods are illegal. I think they just seriously like to big note themselves and f@$K us around, well some of them anyway.

Attached is the contact list from the RTA VSI-15

Inner Edge Wearing??
GTR_Legend replied to R34GTX's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Just curious, What is an R34 GTX-T? I know of the GT & GT-T -
If you have an engineers certificate and also have notified you insurance company all should be fine. you have to notify your insurance company of all mods or they may void it
-
I have contacted the RTA and the guy said that they have taken off the Vehicle standards information - VSI 06, which was for vehicle modifications. They must be making changes to it. The RTA guy said that if you have an engineer's cert for the mod and have updated your records at the RTA, they deem it to be LEGAL. But cops can still defect you. But you should be able to get out of it if the engineer & RTA say it is roadworthy. Got a quote from one guy in blacktown, $165 per hour for a chat on mods & any photocopying of standards is extra. The dentist charges less

They are pr!cks The use of drugs are illegal, but it is also illegal to make them. The use of non-standard mods to cars are illegal, but you can buy them. Maybe we should just start hanging exhausts, pistons & BOV's on our bedroom walls for decoration. :Bang: PS. I have decided to contact the RTA to see if i can get any info or contacts from them.

Vote #1 for The Druitt Sweet place, no trouble, 15 min from city once the orbital is complete

Hey, The air filter should be ok if it is boxed in, he should be able to fight that one. The BOV should be plumback only. The only rules i know about the exhaust is that it has to be 100mm+ from the ground, low noise 98db or less (guess) and MUST have the CAT (not punched out) The FMIC should be fine but i have heard that you can have either a pod air filter OR FMIC, not both. Anyone else correct me on this or shed some more light

Im going, but will just be a speci as i have a few things to sort out on my baby until i push it on the track. John, is shane going?, i haven't spoken with him yet. Where are you guys leaving from & what time

Hi, I would just like to know if any of you know of a good plumback bov? I currently have an apexi, looks like the dual chamber one but without the extra hose nipple near the cap bolt. Want to get rid of it & get a plumback! PS. Correct me if i'm wrong, but is the main difference between the atmos/plumback bov just sound?

I would like to get mine engineered as well. Can't believe it, after 6 years of driving & now having my 4th hotted up car, i finally was pulled over last night to be defected. Driving my grandmother home through plumpton, went passed a sumoan building, seemed to be having a party, there were cops outside, 1 chaser & 2 bikes. Went passed them & as i got over the hill a bike came up behind me & pulled me over. He was a PR!CK, Your pod is illegal, REALLY i said. Your BOV is illegal, why didn't you leave the standard plumback BOV on it like the 200SX has, HAHA i said in my head. He did not mention anything about the FMIC but did say that the exhaust sits lower than 100mm from the ground. AND!!!! :kick: He didn't defect me as he said he gave his last ticket out, Thanks PR!CK. Then he tried to give me a lecture about insurance, F%@K OFF I think his boyfiend got worried, as the other cop on the bike turned up as i was getting into my car. Anyway, thats my 2 cents, but he really PI$$ED me off.

The HKS EIDS has been developed to buffer dramatic airflow meter signal fluctuations. By buffering these fluctuations the EIDS prevents engine stalling or stumbling associated with sudden imbalances in air/fuel ratio of airflow meter-equipped vehicles that utilize atmosphere venting blow-off valves.
