    My Baby

I can relate dude, I took out the front of my '97 ser II a month ago and the withdrawals are so f&*kin bad it's not funny anymore, I have to see it everyday and not being able to drive it. Look on the bright side and stop whinging like a girl....at least you were insured ! I was on the back of a 3 car pile-up and I wasnt insured (Im 31 and just cars tried to get $5700 out of me for it) so my R33 is going to be the last car repaired after the other two. I'm up for at least $20 big ones so yeah, stop crying like a f*&kin girl and accept the fact that there are people worse off than you out there ! The only light shining at the end of my tunnel is that I still have my boosted VL Calais to get to work in.
  3. The best idea is to stick a high flow cat on, besides you dont really lose that many Kw with one on.... comparing the lost in kw (f-all) with a cat on and the shit you'll get into when you get caught without one... I know which I'd pick. I dont understand why people worry so bloody much about little pissy things like a Cat convertor.... get a decent ball bearing turbo, boost the bugger up and that'll more than make up for the lost in power with a catty on.
  4. Guys, I'm chasing down a front end for a series II R33, as many of you know, the series II front is totally different to a series I as they have a different bonnet and head lights. I've tried many importers and all I've been getting is 'Sorry mate, all we have are series I parts.' Parts I'm after include the radiator support, EVERYTHING that bolts onto the rad support including the radiator, the aircon core, the headlights, nose, bonnet etc. I'm not too worried about the bumper as I'm planning to fit a 400R bumper, its the headlights and bonnet thats giving me the most trouble. So if anybody knows of anyone thats got a Series II R33 thats been written off with a good front please let me know, I can be contacted at [email protected] Thanks heaps guys.
  5. Actually, Im chasing down a front end for a series II, everything from and including the radiator support forwards plus the bonnet so if anyone can help plz email me at [email protected]. cheers.
  6. By the way, I agree with Mr Ed32 ! They'll be back for sure, especially now that they know that your lock and column is stuffed. I say bait them and then beat the living crap outta them. Asswipes
  7. I had a similar sort of experience a coupla months back at Parramatta Westfield, I was only gone for 10 minutes max and they got to the barrel, almost all the way home with my car! when I got back, the bastards were sitting in their car looking at me. Only if it wasnt 4 of them and one of me at the time. I didnt even have an alarm cause I'd only owned it for a coupla weeks at the time. Yeah, so consider yourself lucky that u still have the beast.
  8. Maybe he's a heavy sleeper. Look, my mate here just said somethin and it makes perfect sense.... If they want your car, they'll take it, simple as that. It's up to you to make it secure, if its not then we all know who's to blame. If you decide to drive a car like that then you should be prepared for this stuff to happen. Dont get me wrong, I had my '33 almost stolen not that long ago at Parramatta Westfield (not insured) and that wasnt a good feeling. Im sorry to hear about the 180 and hope it'll get recovered soon.
  9. Remember the Badges are different on the series I and series II !
  10. $300 is pretty much the average price for fitting of a FMIC but why not try having a go yourself? It's not really that hard, a bit of common sense and a little THC inspiration should see ya new FMIC in there in 'bout 3 hours. Just go easy when you start to hack into ya front bumper - take a little bit off at a time.
  11. Still take the '33 over it. Reminds me of an ugly Honda Euro. I think the designers at Nissan are losing their touch. Oh well, shit happens.
  12. THATS MINE !!!!! give it back......bastards....
  13. Plan B matie. usually works with exhausts as well with the EPA
  14. Got it all hooked up. It's pin number 29. patched that straight to the signal wire of the Autometer (purple)
  15. Guys, I've just picked up a A/F ratio gauge (Autometer) and in the process of installing it, I have done everything except connecting the signal wire to the Oxygen sensor. At the connection for the O2 sensor there are three wires (R33 Skyline), LIGHT BROWN (with white stripe), WHITE & BLUE (with a thin white stripe). Now, my question is, WHICH is the signal wire from the O2 sensor ? Any help is appreciated.
  16. That Rex does indeed belong to the Fairfield police, they use it to promote racing in a controlled environment at WSID. If anyone actually remembers, this is not the first time the coppers have used a Rex, back in 1998 - 99, the cops from central (Sydney) had a couple of the rare 2-door MY-99 STI's. I remember there was a big story about the coppers wanted to use them for ages but they couldn't until the automatic was available - Coppers are not allowed to drive a manual vehicle.
  17. Guys, I recently had my R33 broken into at a shopping centre carpark and almost had it stolen, they got as far as the key barrel so another 2 minutes and I swear it would've been gone! ....Just to let you guys know how they got in. They struck the anti-carjack button (located on the drivers door) for the passenger door with a long object which they managed to wedge through the top of the drivers door/glass. It's obvious that they've done this before 'cause there was minimal damage to the car. Either way. I think disabling this switch is a good idea.
  18. Guys, thanks for all ya opinions, firstly, no offence to any wogs that might be reading this but guess what guys? they WERE wogs, how do i know? 'cause I saw them with my own bloody eyes. THIS HAPPENED ON LEVEL 5 AT PARRAMATTA WESTFIELD and yes I did call the cops and I did also get their number plates......Guess what? Stolen plates guys ! Anyways. just for all u Skyliners, they got in by sticking a longish object through the top of the drivers door/glass, then strucking the anti-carjack button for the passenger door located on the drivers door..... So disabling this switch is a good idea i think.
  19. I was at Parramatta Westfield yesterday and almost had my R33 stolen. I parked in the multi-level carpark, took off for less then 10 minutes and went about my business, when I came back to the car, I noticed the drivers door was half closed (it was closed but not fully, they obviously didnt want to have to pick the door twice as we all know that Skylines lock themselves after about 30 seconds), I then noticed the bottom half of the plastic cover for the steering column had been ripped off so they could access the key barrel. I must've interrupted them because they were sitting in their car ( a little red corolla ) all looking at me when I got back to mine, one of them even had a 'spewin'' look on their smartass face. Either way, I placed this entry here so that fellow Skyliners understand that there are assh*les out there that think they have just as much right to ya beasts then you do. It's a sad sad world but lets hope nobody's 'line gets pinched. They seem to know what they were doing as it seemed to me that they wanted to inflect minimal damage to the car so that they could sell it..... I dunno but they should be all shot.
  20. I drive around in a '97 series II with a standard Type-M kit, 18's with a GTR wing on the ass, I have not been picked up in it once yet, Its the huge GReddy stickers, 20 inch 'Bling bling stand-out-like-dogs-balls' chromes and ya 6inch exhaust tips that gets you pulled up. Cops are pricks, we all know that, why make yourself stand out to them, you dont need their attention cause it's bad news when you get it. Getting defected is no big deal, it's not even about the fines, it's just the hassles of having to go back to get them cleared and shit.
  21. Man, being hit at 70km/hr .... your chassis is gone buddy. I don't even need to see it to tell you that, has the NRMA dude inspected your car yet? Have you considered that this level of damage might mean it's a write-off?
  22. The RB25Det with variable timing is also known as the 'NEO' RB25det. It originally came out in the R34 GTT and it has a few more kw's compared to the R33 version. The Neo was also available with a tipronic auto as well as a 6 speed manual. The Neo did not come out in the R33 so if you find one then it's been converted with a R34 unit. The actual physical differences in the two motors is inside the head as there are slight differences in the water/oil gallaries where the head meets the block. Some people doing the RB25det head on a RB30 block conversion will know about this as it's the normal non-Neo head that is used, the Neo RB25 head does not work with the RB30 block as some of the above mentioned holes does not line up.
