Hello everyone, Short notice but this Friday the 16th April, a Club Outrun member will be holding the Canberra Premiere of the Club Outrun Japan DVD. For those that aren't up to date on what the Club Outrun DVD is i'll give you a little background; Last year 'Club Outrun' went to Japan for a drift trip which took in 3500kms in 11 days, 4 different drift events, lots of drinking, even more fireworks and generally a lot of stupidity with the culmination being a few trashed cars after going to Drift Matsuri at Ebisu. Where: Mercury Bar When: Friday April 16th, 7pm It's a licensed venue, if you're under 18 you can't come in but pre-orders will be available through Sol on here. Mez wants people to run their orders through me as it's much more convenient for him to send all the orders to one spot & have me distribute them as need be. Sol will be taking an order sheet with him but WILL NOT accept cash on the night - He doesn't want to be carrying a fat stack of bills in civic. Payment can be made via electronic transfer before or after the night. We don't have to put a tab on the bar, but you'd best buy a few drinks to support Mercury Bar as they're doing us a favour, so bloody well do the right thing in return. No, that was a riot over Easternats being cancelled, which is like Summernats here. It is car related but not the same focus. I can understand how those guys felt but their actions were not the correct ones. Alot of events have been cancelled at Calder park, for what people feel, for no reason in particular. This group, I hope, is saying that Motorsport enthusiasts are in Canberra and we are a big group.

Hey guys, I got this email from my Tow Truck driver. I haven't heard about these guys before but a motorsports lobby group is a good thing. The government should pay more attention if they can see a way to earn votes. The cyclist lobby group did the same thing years ago, now look at all the bike lanes on the road.

MGCC held their first Motorkhana of 2010 last Sunday. A number of local SAU member had entered the competition, so here are a few pics from the event.

But all of them were dwarfed by the awesomeness of the R31's!

Yeh, I plan on going. I heard on NS.com that it'll most likely be in August so the new car might be running then.

Best time to go is mid morning to mid afternoon. In the morning, people seem to be warming up and not going that hard. After the track starts to warm up a bit, people start to put down their fast laps. I haven't really hung out till they finish in the afternoon, my tyres are normally gone by then .
