Spotted a silver series one 33 with black racey looking rims and a Trojan sticker up at the marketplace yesterday. Who’s car is that?

I know its an old daft punk song fool It certainly has changed leechy. And yeah hopefully the new owner can appreciate that its a bit different. As said i'll put up a proper for sale thread but i thought i'd let some of the old crew know that it was happening and see if there was any local interest before it went official.

Well I’ve been the proud owner of my beautiful girl for 3 years or so now, its been and interesting relationship, she has at times seen plenty of tarmac and at others none at all. We’ve grown together, she’s become harder better faster and stronger (reference new Kanye West song), and she has become well known for not only her looks but her new ability to back them up with whiplash inducing acceleration. She has never let me down and thanks to the boys at Trojan probably never will. But alas situations change and there comes a time when every good owner accepts that his special lady would be having much more fun in the loving care of another. I simply need another type of car as my situation has changed. I don’t know how easy it will be to let go, not only to her but the memories, the good ol SAU days… In the coming weeks I’ll be advertising it on the for sale section but I thought I would give everyone here a chance to get in first. I know the chances are pretty remote that any of you guys are interested (as most people here already have there own skylines). So let me know guys and gals, I would love it to stay local but if it goes interstate, so be it. Anyone interested before the specs and price etc go up is more than welcome to ask. Just to continue to add to an old argument i have posted my two cents on the issue in another thread. Make the shirts, but i'm only buying one if it has the SAU web addy on it somewhere. (Purely in protest of the ridiculous notion that it could in any way be assumed that this is some sort of money making scam using SAU as a launching pad)

what a mountain out of a mole hill... What would be the worst thing to come out of it having the web addy on the back? Publicity for the site, more hits and thus more views of advertising for site sponsors… Please please please prevent this horrible thing from going any further. I’ve got an SAU sticker on my back window and technically I’m not a paid up member… Sue me.

No gloating here mate just an observation. There are some high profile members who have yet to post anything on this thread. I would love to read a response from them. I’m sure plenty has been said behind the scenes but putting comments to forum would be interesting for the rest of us. I guess at the end of the day guys its just up to you as an owner where you take your car. I must have been a pain in the rear end to the boys at Trojan because I was down there every 5 minutes asking questions and looking at some of the work they were doing before I even booked in. Now I’m comfortable leaving my car with Angelo and John, knowing that John needs to drive it when he’s doing major work on it etc. And most importantly knowing that it’s going to be exactly what I want when I go back. And if it’s ever not quite right then I know he will sort it out for me. I guess its an issue of integrity.... It’s the complete opposite to the experience I had with Business B (oscars story) who managed to completely screw the interior electrics in my car whilst fitting a turbo timer and then gave me my car back with the distinct feeling it had been driven across town and back by a visiting D1 driver. I never used business A (Sin’s story) as I always had my doubts. Fortunately it wasn’t convenient for me to access so I never used them as a fall back either. By the sounds of it I may have been on the money in my assessment. Richard I haven’t seen you in forever mate but I hope to see you and the GTR very soon! I truly hope that the messing around and the spending of money is over for a while now. As always if you need any help with anything then give us a yell champ. (I was actually thoroughly disappointed I didn’t get to play GTR’s with Jayce… )

Anyway richard good on you for naming names, pity they have been removed. Personally John at Trojan is the only person i let work on my car. I encourage others to do the same.

ahhh the joy of being 15 and getting your first job... I miss those days. Yeah he should aim high (ultimate cool job at that age, sportys, rebel, foot locker) but be prepared to take low as well. My first proper job was at magnet mart in the timber yard. Taught me a lot about life.

Without more info, my guess is: boost cut (yes this doesnt exist but its easy to explain it this way) lower the boost a touch and try again, continue to lower until the problem is fixed. once you have done that, go and buy a SAFC at the very least so you can do some light tuning and return the boost to a higher setting. I had the same drama in the skidline some time back as it was doing the same thing when under load.
