    Am I better off using the standard RB26 gear set in the N1 oil pump then?

    Do you happen to know if the gears are the same as standard but just out of a different material? If so then I could simply just take my standard gears to the engineering shop and get them to make the pump gears out of a stronger material? Greg

    For $600 for a major service I certainly wouldn't be doing it myself.

    Quite often personal purchases aren't stopped in customs. That said, even if I were to pay 10% GST on top I'd still be paying much less than the prices I got quoted within Australia but again, I doubt very much that there will be custom fees.

    I've just ordered all my parts. It ended up costing just under $1,700AUD landed. CP pistons, 86mm, $759.99 ARP head studs, $257.95 Cometic head gasket (86mm, 1.2mm), $158.99 ARP main studs $165 ARP rod bolts $84.93 Freight to Australia, 3029 $105 TOTAL $1531.95USD

    The CP pistons are around $900 or so with rings + freight ($50 or so) All up with ARP rod bolts, ARP head studs, ARP main bolts, ACL main and rod bearings I'm hoping to come in under $1,700 or so *fingers crossed* Greg
