Guys, I did not say in any way that +12's will affect his performance negatively, in theory +12 should be better due to increased track. LotusGTR has specified clearly that he does not want to lip/modify/roll his guards, that's why I have recommended him go the +22 offset. If he was to go +12 he would have to do some sort of modification as the tyre will rub on the track with a decent semi comp tyre. All those that are running +12 offset are either street cars that don't see the track or have made some modifications to rectify the problem. Didn't intend on stepping on anybody's toes just talking from experience and what other's on the track have experienced with this particular situation. Peace. Jack P.S I could have just agreed with everybody and convinced him +12 are the way to go, after all I do have some very nice Nismo LMGT4's for sale in that size, width and offset.

Yeah I would say it would have been better to post it up in the suspension/wheel/tyre subforum. Asking this sort of question in this subforum has resulted in answers regarding what would look better. I guess your question has confused everyone into thinking what would suit a show car, not a track car. Either way, +22 will still give you the 'concave' look. They will not be flat with that width and offset. Cheers, Jack

Dude your missing his point, he is not going for the 'FULLY SICK HELLA FLUSH LOOK BRO'. This car will be seeing the track so the right offset is crucial. I know that +12 will cause rubbing problems both front and rear. The car leans quite heavilly on the track especially with any sort of reasonable semi slick. BBGTR here on the forums runs 18 x 9.5 +22 CE28N's and has not had any problems with rubbing. LotusGTR, maybe PM BBGTR for his opinion, I'd say he will steer you in the +22 direction. Just my 2c...

Best Place To Try Racing Seats In Melbourne?
JAGR33 replied to No Crust Racing's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Don't think you'll find anything within the city. My advice would be to go to either Meridian Motorsport (Moorabbin) or Revolution Racegear (Mitcham). These places have plenty seats on display to try out. -
OK, got to clear out the garage, so need to get rid of a few things. First up is a set of (4) NISMO LMGT4 GT500 Limited Edition wheels with centre caps. They are matt black in colour and quite rare, quite a bit more expensive than the normal LMGT4's too. They are in very good condition, although 2 of the wheels have some minor scratches. There is no damage to the wheel in regards to gouging, just surface scratches that have taken off the paint (check out pics). They have Bridgestone RE55S tyres (type SR) in 265/35/18, tyres have around 50-60% left on them, good for a few track days or normal street driving. Wheels are located in Bayswater, but will ship at buyer's expense. PRICE: $4200 ono PICS: Second up is a Nismo circuit link set to suit an R33 GT-R. This consists of: - Front lower control arms - Front castor rods - Front upper control arms - Rear lower control arms - Rear upper control arms In very good condition, has the usual scratches/chips as they came off a car. Items located in Bayswater, and again will ship interstate at buyer's expense. Will take pics in the next couple of days as they are in storage. PRICE: $1100 ono That's it for now, PM or reply here if interested. Low ballers will be ignored. Cheers, Jack

Hey Grant, great to her it was only a cooler pipe hose clamp, I knew it would be the one on the passenger side aswell. Reminds me of a few years back when I was at Sandown one day when the pipe blew off, wouldn't idle properly and got towed off the track. This happened 5 times in a row on the same day in every seesion!!! Once I changed all hose clamps never had a problem again. Was good to meet you and one day might find the time and come to one of the cruises. Good on Trent on looking after you aswell... Cheers, Jack

Hey Grant, sorry to hear about your misfortune, the joys of owning a GT-R!!! Couldn't come and pick you up myself as it was my wife's birthday today and promised her I'd take her out for the day with the little one. Sorry for the late sms reply aswell, was a little tied up and had my phone on silent, tried ringing my dad and couldn't get through to him for over an hour due to reception issues. Just so you and other members are aware we usually charge $3.30/km (from pick up point to delivery) on long trips and if you do the math it works out to over $800 from Apollo Bay to Frankston South. Many might think $600 is a bit steep for the tow, but I'd find it hard to believe there would be many other towing companies that would have done it cheaper on a Sunday and without it being a 'backload'. Another good reason to have SAU membership!!! I look after members as best I can, not to mention the care taken in loading/restraint/unloading... I own a GT-R myself, so it helps... Anyway, hope it's nothing major and your back on the road ASAP... Cheers, Jack
