  1. Don't know mate. I saw the car and someone who looked a little familiar the first time around. When we walked back that way I looked for the familiar face to say gday and I didn't spot him. You will find out before I do I think. B) El Bee
  2. Our 93 R33 GTSt doesn't have airbag at all, no ABS, no A-LSD etc. Either this car was optioned to the max, or there are some big/expensive changes done. What does the VIN say through the FAST Software ? El Bee
  3. Reckon we could find our way there if this gets off the ground. El Bee
  4. Had a quick look today. Yeah, not great. Saw the two lines on display and a lot of other assorted machines. Hey gR33ddy, was the white R33 your mate's that we met or what ? It looked familiar. El Bee
  5. Gday Moanie, Yeah spotted you waving and thought OK will pull in and say hello then you ran away. Thought I must be looking particularly scary that day ! We were sort of passing through and went to check out the scenery and try out our new camera. Will definately say hello next time our paths cross (next drag day). Enjoy!
  6. Thanks Duncan, I felt so isolated. Now I wanna know what B-Man was going to announce. Expect it might be lightweight stuff. El Bee *edit* Just re-read that B-Man is asking a question rather than stating facts (and figures). I am intrigued.
  7. I could have ticked every option in the poll, depending on mood etc. But I must agree with akeenan. If you want it to be that much of a secret, you should leave it under wraps and not take it out at all. El Bee
  8. Looks like Silver gtst will be cornering the drag tyre market. A cunning plan. El Bee
  9. You don't need anything extra. As a matter of fact you don't need anything for a nice quick street car. Some modifications point to, or actually require, other modifications being done. Your 3 mods will improve overall performance and the standard ECU will not be phased by them. El Bee
  10. I don't like the idea of chopping the fan blades as others have done to clear the intercooler piping. If this is an issue I suggest an electric thermo fan. They work great and don't get in the way. If you keep the panel filter you can hook up your own cold air intake or do this. Pics below (hopefully). The air intake has been cut-away and some heavy plastic "welded" into place. Looks like it was always like that. El Bee
  11. Did you get it to work emanuelt ? The output to the solenoid has to be connected to the away side of the wire cut at the ECU loom (or wherever). If you just splice it in I think that the ECU is going to be trying to control it and not allow the IEBC to do it properly. El Bee
  12. No sign of DN0 ? (Green Metallic in R33 GTSt). Would really like to know how many were made in that colour if this info can be found anywhere. El Bee
  13. Gday all, Got a FMIC a while ago and decided that I wanted to keep the standard airbox (It is the nature of the car and drivers to remain very low key). My cooler piping takes the standard route around the front of the engine above where the fan used to be (went thermo instead). Something has to give, and I decided that it was going to be part of the air intake "snorkel". A mate of mine is very handy with all sorts of stuff, and I got him to fashion some thick plastic we use in our work to enclose the area that I ground away from the air intake. The result is quite impressive and looks like it was made that way. Only trouble was that he finished in the dark, he sanded the finish and got a great result. It ended up with a couple of pinholes that I patched up, and these are the rough areas you can see in the pics. ps He even gave it back to me with new foam seal made out of expansion joint stuff attached with spraytack (unsure of spelling).
  14. Mine arrived today from #2 as well. Was packed in an Asahi's Original Shin-Nama box. Looks like beer to me. It says relax and enjoy. Good idea.
  15. Lost access also. Have sent PM to Merli.
  16. My belief is that car yards used to use Auto fluid when the gearbox was on its way out to smooth changes etc. I used to own a VH with a 5 speed and thought it was time to change the gearbox oil. Put the recommended stuff in and could barely change gears. Strained out the metal bits and put the shit back in. Worked fine till it was written off. El Bee
  17. Yes, the adults are a fair size. I'd say that there are a large proportion of the members who have never seen one, so you are fortunate. Enjoy! El Bee
  18. I am glad to hear that others believe that they get better economy out of better fuels. I have only used Optimax for a long time now, after trying different fuels and feeling that they don't go as far. With the performance edge it has to be 98 RON all the way. El Bee
  19. I noticed this as well and was panicking thinking that hey hadn't been sent. You have to check a box to say save. I think they are looking into making this default to yes. El Bee
  20. Looks pretty normal for an Aussie cicada. Don't know about the Jap ones (gotta be smaller eh hahaha) I sort of rescued one from a sparrow a while back (he landed in an open area after evading his pursuer). Full marks to the tenacity of the sparrow as he wasn't that much bigger than the cicada. Unfortunately a gillbird came along shortly thereafter and he wasn't that lucky, after I had planted him in the most camouflaged spot I could find. Oh well, you get that don't you. El Bee
  21. They are mentioned in the parts list as dot and line. IC1=dot El Bee
  22. Have to agree 100%. Don't do it, you deserve a smack if you do. If you bought one this way and it is difficult to revert, then it is up to you. El Bee
  23. So yours have been made with veroboard or something? Am interested in getting a kit by any means. Will await any new developments. El Bee
  24. Still interested in a kit. Alternatively just a PCB, along with a parts list , schematic, parts layout and how to make the connector etc. Some of the above seems to have been covered, I know, but the PCB is what is my main concern. I don't want to use experimenters or vero etc if I can help it. El Bee
  25. Aaah Jamberoo, a nice country drive. can go through there to get to Kiama or the other way goes up the mountain to Robertson. Saddleback, haven't been through there a great deal but once you get to the top I think you can continue up to Robbo as well. Of course once you get to Robertson (another way is via MacQuarie Pass), you can go through Kangaroo Valley and end up in NOWRA! It's all good eh? El Bee
