  1. WOW!!! My best time for expert is 238 secs. I thought that was a bloody good time. El Bee
  2. EXAUNV, Have just sent email for one. Thanks. El Bee
  3. See Jordan's explanation of how the radiator cap allows coolant out to reservoir and back in. You may be noticing this in operation as the coolant temperature actually goes up for a short while after you stop the car. As I understand it, the cap holds closed till the proper pressure is reached and then opens to allow a small amount of coolant to go into the reservoir. The movement of the coolant would happen in one or more "gloops" to the reservoir that may appear to be air but isn't. It is just coolant that has been forced out by expansion and pressure. This goes back into the radiator as it cools. Hope that makes sense and I hope that this is the case. Might be wise to get it checked and confirm this. El Bee
  4. Right in the middle is where mine sits as well. Do you ever have to top up the reservoir ?
  5. Does your car actually overheat ? How high do you go on the standard temp guage ?
  6. Ah whatever. The easiest thing is to check the radiator just after the engine is started (and still cold). If you get bubbles it is coming from a combustion chamber. El Bee
  7. I believe that any bubbles in your cooling system is not good. My understanding is that it would mean gasses from a combustion chamber getting into the cooling system, via the head gasket or a crack in the head. Do you get these bubbles when the engine is started and running dead cold with the radiator cap off ? If so, it will be as above. Or... If you have an overheating problem that gurgles into the overflow it could be as simple as a tired radiator cap not keeping enough pressure. Hoping for the best. El Bee
  8. I would still spell it with another "r" as in entrepreneur. Enjoy. El Bee
  9. Yep, reckon I understand your reasoning. 1. FMIC means some lag. 2. Hi flo and exhaust builds boost faster. I asked because the turbo didn't survive the first attempt and is now hi flo. :Bang:  Have recently just whacked your numbers in and the boost just didn't get there really. Looks like I will have to go back to square one and zero everything, find out the load point for our boost and try to feather it in from there. Rather than spring pressure, I just have to overcome the Spousal Resistance to this idea. El Bee
  10. Hey SK, Looks like your labels are swapped around. If you hook the IEBC up to a non-standard setup eg Hi flo turbo and FMIC, exhaust etc........ Which way would you expect the initial load point to go ? I mean would you expect to have to open the wastegate earlier or later for your desired boost level ? El Bee
  11. Gotta bow to the man who knows his monkeys.
  12. Finally got around to fixing this problem about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Bought a second hand replacement for about $75. I took the steering wheel off and the plastic surrounds etc, and found the stalk held in by about three screws. All good now. El Bee
  13. Gday NJ, Interesting experiment. I commend your bravery. My concern is about the melting point. This may be that temperature which sees the PVC as a molten mass forming a puddle. I wonder whether a somewhat lower temperature would see the PVC "soften". I mean after a while the piping may sag etc. The proof is in your experiment. El Bee
  14. ApleX, It's no biggie really. Mine had been making little sounds for ages of the plastic moving around etc, and I didn't bother with it until my Hicas light started coming on. Took it apart and found that the small plastic bits had been interfering with the optical signal going through the little slots of the sensor shown above. Just shook the bits out of the sensor etc etc. All good. El Bee
  15. Hahaha. That's Gold. Gotta agree that it really is a joke. They don't deserve any respect in my opinion. My missus reckons that she makes their owners cry at the traffic lights around town. El Bee
  16. You may have trouble with the Steering Angle Sensor like I did if the plastic bits are small enough. El Bee
  17. Yeah, The packaging does leave a lot to be desired. There is no mention of RB25DET but they are the ones. The others mentioned have a month/year showing that they are for Series 2. El Bee
  18. I heard you (it was a bit hard not to eh) :jk: Some comments were a little hard to take with a smile on your face. But I am a little ashamed to say that I had a giggle with everyone else about the Ferrari kissing the wall. El Bee
  19. A fun weekend. Must admit to being a little surprised by the anti Skyline sentiment in the "off street drags". More than half the spectators seemed happy to barrack for a non-descript bucket hot rod thing with huge this and that. Anything as long as it wasn't that *&@#^$% GTR thing. Thankfully there were some exceptions (apart from us). El Bee
  20. Still... I would like to add to the "who cares" poll. El Bee
  21. Have had no probs with the HPR10 Penrite. Used it for the last 3 yrs. All good. El Bee
  22. Need to see headlights. Show them if poss. El Bee
  23. Sorry Mate, Decided to get ours hi flo sooner rather than later. Good luck with the sale. All the best. El Bee. ps. Clean out your PM area.
  24. Please let me know of price etc when available. Will probably get a direct replacement in the meantime and hi flo the old, but moving to the Rigoli job sounds mighty interesting. El Bee
  25. Hello guys, Let me be the first to say that you can blow your turbo at around 17 pounds if you are not careful, and it is surprising how quickly the boost gets to this level and beyond when the wastegate is not told to do something about it. OK. Yeah Yeah, I blew the turbo. (Ended up listening to bits of ceramic stuff floating around). :Bang: I haven't finished though, and will try again at a later date. Anyone got a standard turbo going cheap ?? El Bee
