Saw crackr GTR34 yesserday.
-
How's it look now nismo? Same colour or change?
-
Oh yea, similarities for sure. They both have four wheels, two headlights and it looks as though they've ripped of the idea of having a front bumper.
-
I can only see the last two pics. The other don't show up m8.

just read that you have to fill up with high octane fuel is that right? And I got another question why doesnt the car im looking at have an intercooler? is it because the type of engine uses a water cooling system instead of an air cooling system for the turbo? You do have to use 98octane. Don't ever use 95. All gtsts that dont have an aftermarket intercooler should have a SMIC which will be located on the passenger side of the car.

Timing belts generally get replaced each 100,000ks. Engines oils every 500ks. You can find R33 parts everywhere. Jap wreckers will have tons of stuff. There isn't a whole lot that goes wrong with them... generally. About $180ea. Roughly (quoted, 255 Fed SS595s) Depends how the 180 is driven. R33 will manage 500k per tank on highway I think Alot. Watch the wet roads, gtsts looovvvvve to slip n slide. No... they're not as bullet proof as the 2JZ, or the RB26 (RB ain't as good as 2JZ either). But, the RB25DET is strong. They come stock at about 145rwkw, and it's very very common for them to handle ~250rwkw on stock internals.

Skyline prices have dropped the level where the 'dose' coinagers (word? lol) can buy 'em. Expect more of that type of attitude by skyline drivers.

Official Nissan parts are expensive. But you shouldn't need to buy many official Nissan parts unless your car turns out to be a bit of a lemon. Even then, there are usually alternative third party options available. If you need new headlight for a S2 R33 (S1 different), expect to pay $250-300 per headlight secondhand and about $500EA new. Comprehensive insurance for under 25. Your best bet is Justcarsinsurance. Google them and get a quote online - double-check the details on the quote once you get it back though.

I've seen this thing around Mooloolaba. Stunning example from what I've seen (then again, aren't all GTR34s stunning? lol).

What Does Gts-t Stand For?
RedEmblem replied to EVILTD's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
I thought RB was just in reference to the fact that it's cast iron? Maybe not. -

Would there be a cooling off period? Or is this thing completely sold/bought? -
Fastest Skyline Stock

Yea, torque was increased with each model (rpm increased by 500rpm from 32 to 33/34). But they also got heavier with each incarnation. -
RL Shockproof? No idea :|

Opinions: 33gtst To A 32gtr?
RedEmblem replied to RedEmblem's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Yes, the R32 was much much different to drive. Performance was a little better, but it was mainly the handling and different gear ratios that I liked. Additonal torque was very easy to feel too Very different car to drive. Won't be buying that particular example though, as the body was not in reasonable condition. -
Not trying to be picky, but alot of stock gtrs dyno at ~320

Hey, can I please have BNR32-304574 checked KBNR32RXFS7 AA Thanks,

Ahh, k's are 72k. I seriously, seriously doubt the K's are genuine. I plan to judge the cars condition based on how it handles, goes and looks, compression test etc -

RedEmblem replied to RedEmblem's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Well, that's right. I've looked at the car - wasn't ready for driving when I saw it (not complied). Looked very tidy inside (steering wheel etc could have recently been replace though. Who knows?). I'll only be purchasing it if it's in excellent condition... edit: ThugishPimp; price on this one is kinda high for a 32. It's basically stock (which is what I'm after) - except for some random cat-back exhaust system and some kinda nice (very) deep dish wheels. Price is $25.5k, but I know I can get the seller down atleast $1.5k. -
New Kid On The Block

I don't know why they don't just drive the 33s straight through the water, they are boats to you know hehe, j/k... I haven't been able to say that for years (prev. 33 owner). -
Different Years Of R32
RedEmblem replied to Nth's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
they didnt have door bar thingies... u know.. those things. -
Hey, I've recently sold my '96 gtst (manual, 105k odo) and am now not entirely sure what I want to do. There's a 32GTR that has my interest ('93). I am hoping there are other people on this forum who have gone from a GTST/GTT of any sort to a GTR (32,33,34). Was there a 'big' difference? Is it worth the money (assuming car is in good condition - mechanically). I'm going to test drive it tomorrow, so I guess I know a little more then :| Thanks.

Fastest Skyline Stock
RedEmblem replied to _MRR33's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Yea, alot of places claim the GTR32 is the fastest. It's the lightest, but also has the lowest amount of torque. Out the GTST/GTTs I assume the 34 would be fastest (vvti) with the 32 well and truly slowest.
