I did get it sent away and "fixed" and it hasnt played up, yet, since i got it back a month ago but since my brother works for eb games i just ended up with a new one as well. Not that hard to end up with free gear if you know the right people. I like the games on the 360 its as simple as that and since i dont have to pay for another console im not that fussed if they continue to break. Ill just get another one for nothing. It really doesnt worry me but it does piss me off that microsoft could make a console that needs to be repaired for such a simple thing that should have been sorted before they were released but hey thats how most stuff is these days...isnt built to last. I have had two brand new consoles get the red ring of death this year. Last one happened a month ago and it was definitly one of the suppossed "new" model where they have fixed it. So no i dont believe its no longer a problem...its supposed to be less likely to happen but still does.

Except yesterday when i was in sydney fuel was cheaper than queensland and today its also cheaper in the ACT so we are getting screwed over in queensland

Your vin doesnt come up. You might have gotten the numbers wrong but tried the model code too and all it said was invalid model. Might want to recheck your number etc
