  1. I got one, but the knobs who installed the knob put it on the underside of the dash, just where it will remove your kneecap if you have a smash. They obviously either don't care about safety or just don't think. PS: That's why SAABs have the ignition switch on the console between the front seats, so it won't remove your other kneecap!
  2. No worries. Good luck with your search. ..I'll see you in my rearview mirrors.
  3. I've got a manual R33 GTSt if you're interested.
  4. Preludes are front wheel drive & bland. WRXs have character & AWD - much more fun! Not to mention those 5 wonderful letters - T.U.R.B.O.
  5. Sorry Skyline Chick, the completing a turn thing is rubbish, but the rest is right. If you were both coming from "give way" or "stop" signs, then the person going straight would have right of way. But it appears the other bloke probably didn't have a give way/stop sign, which means he was already in the carriageway, which means you should've given way to him. It's a tricky situation, but one way you can minimise the risk (a trick learned from years riding a motorbike) is to make eye contact with the other driver. If you know he's seen you, you'll both be more cautious of each other & hopefully have time to stop if you need to. good luck with the insurance.
  6. My first regular drive: 1976 Datsun 240K sedan First car I bought: 1968 Fiat 124 Sport They both died while I had them!
  7. I know you're not giving anything away. I just wanted to post something so you could see my new avatar. ta-ta.
  8. I may be interested. Can you tell me how many owners it's had, does it have a service history, what was the work that cost you $3 grand? What kind of condition is the body in? How 'bout the interior? Cheers- Sven

    S badge

I reckon the badges look great. Unfortunately so did the scumsucker who ripped them all off my car with a screwriver, leaving big scratches on the duco! Even took the Nissan badge - what a pr*ck!
  10. It may grow on me in time, but........ THAT INFINIT IS AS UGLY AS A PLATEFULL OF MORTAL SIN!!!!!
  11. Hey RON-15H, that's exactly what the interior of my car looks like. Same stereo & all! Maybe I should've swapped you my stereo for yours & saved some money!
  12. How about SKY GTR ...or maybe NOBJOK
  13. Just keep speeding a lot. Once they catch you they'll send you a really nice letter telling you how many points you have left. .....oh, and demanding more money from you as well!
  14. G'day. Some mongrel has kindly removed all the badges from the boot & grille of my car (with a screwdriver), so I need replacements. Can anyone help me find a "GTS25t" badge and "Nissan" badge for the boot, and the "S" badge for the grille? If not, does anyoen know which R33s had the badges on the boot & which had transfers instead? Hope someone can help. Cheers - Sven:D
  15. Whack the standard Holden supercharger on it & use a smaller pulley. That way the supercharger spins faster & you get more power. A mate of mine is an engineer at Tickfords. They did this when the supercharged Commodore was first released. He reckons they got awesome power out of it until it exploded! Still, a milder version of this extreme experiement should work.
  16. My R33 is completely stock & had the same problem (never had the tank close to empty, so it wasn't being starved of fuel). It never happened when cold, only when up to full running temp. It was fixed by raising the idle speed. It now idles at about 800rpm, instead of around 600 as it was before.
  17. That's a fabulous looking car. Don't change anything - it looks great as it is. How do you go in Sweden with a right-hand-drive car?
  18. Does anyone know whether an exhaust system off an R33 coupe will fit my R33 sedan? Where can I go to find out this sort of information? Hope someone can help. Cheers - RC
  19. The guys at UPI just raised my idle speed a little (from 600 to about 850rpm) & it hasn't stalled since!
  20. G'day JNR. I have a late 93 model R33 GTSt sedan. I imported it myself a few months ago. It's manual, gun-metal grey, has no mods except for rice-brand aluminium pedals. Brand new Pirelli P6000 tyres (Jap tyres also available for drifting purposes). New front discs. Has almost 72,000km on the clock. Fully complied, 10-11 months vic rego. Just serviced by UPI (Moorabbin). Drives like a 4-door dream. I wasn't planning to sell, but if the price is right I will consider it. Let me know. Cheers - Sven.
  21. You might laugh, but you could do worse than trying RACV batteries. They have different levels of batteries, including some big mothers which could start a Mack truck from 1/2 a mile away. Also, they deliver, install & provide a guarantee for no extra. They're worth a call.
  22. Yep, I was registering mine for the first time (after it was complied following importation). That's why they're so interested in the compliance plate. Once you've registered it for the first time then it's legal to drive in Aus, as long as you pay your rego each year.
  23. Fair enough - each to his/her own. Good luck in your rex quest. As a former owner of a Subaru Liberty RS turbo, I can tell you you'll love it!
  24. Sorry for all the questions, but has it got a frewquency converter? In other words, does it pick up the whole FM band or just go up to 89.9? I ask because it'll cost me extra to get one installed.
