  1. I was thinking the same thing, getting that kind of improvement in response is a significant tuning feat If anyone is interested, i will soon be getting a HKS GTRS on my RB20. So i'll put up the results for all to see... Cheers.
  2. Its actually a T70 turbo - heres what he said:
  3. Dr_Drift is just finishing tuning an RB25DE with KKR turbo and r32 ecu, makes good power with the N/a higher compression. Give him a pm to know more.
  4. dude, Never take your car to a tyre shop to get a wheel alignment! Take it to a proper suspension/wheels alignment shop - eg. Centreline Suspension in Thomastown. etc. My mate works at a certain tyre shop and he openly admits that they don't exactly try their best to do a perfect job. They go by the idea that "as long as the steeringwheels straight its good enough"
  5. What power were you making with that turbo set up? Do you know what its rated at? Could be interested. Cheers.
  6. still looking...
  7. anyone.....?
  8. Hi, I'm after a R33 GTR original standard 17x9 rim. I would like to buy only 1 but will consider a pair if people will not separate. location: victoria - will consider buying interstate. please PM me with offers or reply to thread. Cheers.
  9. dude, have you looked at the sponsors section of ns.com? there's heaps of good deals there! check it out -> http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showforum=89
  10. one of the better oils and the one i use is castrol 10w-60 good if you like driving hard... otherwise a fully synthetic Motul oil is very good but gets expensive. just change it regularly and she'll be sweet.
  11. I had mine dynoed again on Dr Drifts brand new dyno on friday night.... 208.8rwkw at 16.5psi. However, the stock actuator on the R34 GTT highflow turbo is only rated at 7pounds (i think) so it can't hold boost properly and it spikes badly to almost 19psi. On cold days (low ambient temps) it spikes even worse so i'm looking at changing to a HKS GTRS pretty soon. or as soon as funds allow. Mods are the usual: Z32 airflow meter Nismo 555cc injectors Full 3" exhaust K&N pod Dr Drift remapped stock ecu HKS type S intercooler R34 GTT highflow Bosch 040 fuel pump Dr Drift boost controller ALL those people who have dynoed their rb on Dr Drifts new dyno should put their runs up too - i know there already have been heaps despite the dyno only being 1 week old!
  12. Hey Rianto, i always use Sam, very good to talk to - will explain everything to you.
  13. why is that? is there a greater chance of knocking occuring under a sustained load, where it could be different to a normal road scenario?
  14. Oh, but don't worry there will be plenty of dyno days there in the near future! I think SAU Vic will be having one very soon there. If Ash can finalise a date
  15. If you want to compare then theres a dyno night on this wednesday 8th - tomorrow. starts 8pm. $30. IMO, its pretty similar to a dyno dynamics in shootout mode, but this dyno is brand new so no one can say 4 sure. Would be great to see your set up on that dyno tomorrow Troy, would give me a figure to aim for! Cheers.
  16. I can't seem to open the dyno chart... it's in a wierd format?
  17. what do you mean - "if you managed to get a year out of the remap.." how long did you have your remap for before you changed to the fcon? So out of interest, what was your biggest problem with the remap? Cheers.
  18. thanks for your ideas. I didn't go the pfc as i was hoping that it would be cheaper to get it remapped - this was more than a year ago. I do have a few problems with the tune but Sam says he will fix them with out any extra cost, so i don't have a problem with that. If i was to get a PFC now it would obviously be like paying twice for the same thing, so i will stick with the remap. He's got new laptop tuning software now, so he says it far easier to tune than before, he's promised to have another look to see if theres any improvements to be had. I don't think a PFC can gain more power than a remap, its all in the tune and my a/f ratios are at a level i consider safe. There's nothing wrong with remaps themselves - just think of the Mines jap ecu's. Cheers.
