  1. Im a bit confused RaseR, how are you going to keep the existing airbox and use the air feed from below? As said by Bunta, feeding from below the airbox (and would need modifications to the air box) will by-pass the filter. What ideas have you got for ducting the air in with the second snorkel so it will pass through the filter while retaining the stock airbox? What your suggesting only looks like it will work if your using a pod filter I would think. EDIT: Also if you still running the stock IC the return pipe will be taking a lot of the room to play with below the air box. It looks like to me the UAS pipe feeds up to the hole where the stock return intercooler pipe would have been if your running an aftermarket intercooler whose return pipe goes over the engine/fan. I don’t think I have explained that very well, I hope that makes sense. Unless someone has an idea how to make it work?
  2. Spotted a silver/grey R32 with nismo sticker on windscreen about 8:30 this morning on Haydon Drive, received a wave too! Also spotted a black R34 GTT just a few seconds before and also saw AdamACT33 drive by but don't think he saw me, looked like he was in his own little world.
  3. White car... Soot...? I feel your pain!
  4. Check the VAFC application charts on the apexi website (www.apexi.com). I think you will find they will work with Honda vehicles only. They are very specific about only using it with cars on that list “Do not under any circumstance use this product for any car application other than on the applicable vehicles”. Stick with the SAFC eh?
  5. My car is sporting one. I found that it partially fixed the missing/flat spot problems through the high rev range and increased power due to the alteration of the previous very rich air/fuel ratios (at that stage running 12 psi with aftermarket intercooler, exhaust etc – my standard R33 computer going into super rich air/fuel ratio mode). Although I feel the missing problem was a combination both the rich air/fuel ratios and faulty coil packs (now they are painted in a pretty blue heat resistant paint and work like a dream). I wouldn’t be surprised if I gained at least 15rwkw after getting the SAFC tuned, and the power delivery was much smoother as Leech has said above. As I picked mine up second hand for a relativity cheap price it has been a very good value for money modification providing both a good increase in power and power delivery. Hope that helps EDIT: Actually from what I remember (ive got a bad memory though ) the dyno run before it was tuned was getting close to 190rwkw (somewhere in the high 180’s at least) and now after the tune getting 210rwkw. Quite a large increase in power…
  6. Spotted a flash of a sexy maroon R32 with kit drive by where the construction for the Gungahlin Drive Extension is going on about 5:30 yesterday afternoon. Only got a brief look as was at the intersection to turn down Caswell Drive and there were cars and concrete barriers everywhere. Could have been Psymon from looking at the pic in his other thread. If so welcome to Canberra mate and nice car!
  7. Thanks for the replies guys, very helpful! Don't worry, that definitely won't be happening!
  8. Mate, my first car was an R31… Ah the memories. They are great cars, congratulations and have fun!
  9. Hmmm not bad for the snowboards
  10. Hi all, I was looking at some of the Defi-Link Meter BFs (electronic blacked out gauges) and was wondering what people have thought of them, especially regarding readability in daylight or direct sunlight. Any info on this would be much appreciated. Cheers
  11. Spotted NathR32 (I think) this morning on Haydon Drive.
  12. Spotted a very nice white R34 GTT cruising by at around 5:30 on Caswell Drive yesterday afternoon. Looked like he gave me a wave.
  13. Julian, Hmmm very very nice indeed! I remember seeing the white beast coming together in your garage and couldn’t stop drooling then! Looks like things have progressed quickly, you definitely don’t waste time. Good to see your finally on the boards. Im just cranky as I missed seeing it at the Nats! Dave
  14. Yep that was me! Very nice car mate!
  15. I really like the look of the R32’s and stock for stock I think they look maybe a little nicer than an R33 (although my opinion sways on this from time to time). However even with the simplest kits the R33’s seem to look nicer than both kitted or non-kitted R32’s IMO. Because of this the R33 is the choice for me, as with only a little bit of external modifications up they look amazing! Just my 2c
  16. Spotted a very sleek silver R32 GTS-t driven by female driver around lunch time in Belconnen. She gave a wave but i was too slow in returning one back
  17. I'll take a black one too please!
