  2. Hmm. Maybe I have 2 x S1 pinouts from different sources then. Do you want a translated copy of that to use as reference? If so then send me a PM with your email address I have an R34 translated pinout too, which is probably more like the S2 pinout

  4. Hi Guys I recently bought a stagea and have been going nuts investigating stuff. From what I had seen, there was a S2 ECU pinout available in English and an S1 ECU pinout that was only available in Japanese. I got the S1 ECU pinout translated to English, and from what I can tell the pinouts are absolutely identical to S2. Can anyone confirm this one way or the other? It seems like its a bit of a grey area, but i'd like it cleared up Cheers Anthony

  6. Looks like I found an AFM. The boot floor protector thing that i'm after is an aftermarket rubber matt that protects the bootcarpet Shame though cos i'm in campbelltown too

  8. Hi guys I'm after an AFM from a S1 stagea Also a runner/plasticy boot floor protector thingy ANd a cargo barrier like you see in all the falcon repmobiles - metal cage thing (thats if they actaully exist) Any assistance would be great

  11. What I think he meant by that statement is that Stageas are made up of bits from all different other Nissans, rather than having their own distinct set of parts.
  12. The car currently has no AFM as its running a Microtech, so popping the bonnet wont help me Anyone want to buy a microtech?
  13. Back onto topic of having this thread about ME, what colour sticker and part number does the AFM have on it? People on SAU seem do be advertising different AFMs for R33. I will be going Z32 later, but I want to get it working with the stock gear first before screwing with it too much
  14. All of the stagea diagrams on the apexi site did match up with the R34 pinout diagram i have. Unfortunately they only covered the wires necessary for wiring in the apexi gadgets. I still have a lot to check
  15. That's what this thread is all about. I'm asking questions about the stuff I don't already know about. It won't be too long before I'm quite intimate with these cars. It can become pretty tedious reading through a 20 page thread of banter just to find the one line of information that I need, or to find out my particular question hasn't been answered
  16. I'm actually going to be trying to put an R34 nistuned ECU into mine, so I need all of the pins to match up. If there is no pinout available, it looks like i'll be having to spend hours with a multimeter figuring it all out

  19. I'm picking up an R34 auto ECU shortly as apparently they might be able to work and are tuneable. If this does end up working ill post up the results ANyone got any tips and tricks to help out in this?
  20. Thanks for the input guys. I'm still trying to find out what will work and what wont. I will know more when I pick the car up next week and have a chance to pull it apart. I don't think the Microtech will be an option. I like my cars to have good idle, good fuel consumption, good cold start, good reliability and good power. Microtech rarely deliver on all of those things. The nistunes in my S13's do deliver all those. How much are these vipecs?
  21. Ok another question I've read that the chances are the ECU in my car can't be Nistuned, and are similar to the R33 gtst ecu. I then read that people with R33 gtst's are putting Z32 ECU's in (with some wiring tricks) as they are compatible with Nistune. Using my awesome skills of deduction, I figure that I can probably use a Z32 Auto ECU with my S1 stagea to allow Nistunage. Has anyone in the Stagea fraternity done this before? Will the Auto cope?
  22. Thats an interesting point actually. I might look into that bit. I suspect that the RWD front suspension is same as R33 gtst whereas the 4wd version uses R33 gtr
  23. Thanks guys. This is a steep learning curve. I know S13's inside out but Stageas seem to have another level of complication (hence me trying to simplify mine) Humour me for a second here The car currently has fmic and zorst, and knowing me, more power will be required. I'm thinking some sort of turbo, S15 injectors and Z32 might suffice for now. The question is about ECU's. I read in other threads that Nistune (which i happily use in my S13's) only work in S2, but not in S1's. Would it be possible with some dicking around, to get an S2 ECU and engine loom to run the S1 engine and stuff? Also remember my silly talk about RWD, would going RWD and MANUAL make the ECU situation simpler? I like RWD and manual, but I also like the practicality and features of a Stagea

  25. Another question for you... WHat AFM should i be looking for if I want to piss off the microtech and get it working again with the stock ecu? ie which part number?
