I had fun, but bent a steering arm (again!)
I did well on the short circuit, and thought i did well on the first session on the long circuit, but completely screwed up my 2nd session and went cross country and buggered my steering arm.
When the tin shed guy tried to convince me that PowerFC were no good, thats when i decided never to go back to that place. He might know pushrod V8's, but surely doesn't know Jap hightech engines
I might come to the meet up at penrith for a bit, but i don't like the idea of putting along bells line with all the saturday drivers and camrys and trcuks and stuff doing 40kmh, so i'll go home when you guys head off. You should hang around the Penrith meet for an hour or so
Bells line will be a very slow run on a saturday. Last time i did it on a satuday there was trucks and volvos and camrys all thinking the whole road is a 40-60 zone. Not fun at all
I reused the stock A31 mounts on the control arms. The whiteline ones are horrid, plus mine were broken as they came off a smashed car. (the bar itself was fine though
The white stuff is to lube the urethane bushes. There should be no movement between metal surfaces at all.
Try using a nyloc nut on that bracket on the lower control arm (from a hardware store). That should stop it coming loose
I also just put the same bars in my cef. I have an SR20 in mine and the front bar didn't clear the big aftermarket sump i have on it.
An anglegrinder fixed all that though! It now fits
Are we going to be a proper 'run'? ie something like old pacific highway or similar? I did old pac last night with the silvia boys and it was lots of fun, but we went quite quick
